Mecha used by UEG founded Colonies

The lions share of the mecha utilized by the colony fleets sent from Earth consist of either late UEG designs such as the VF-1 Valkyrie, and the venerable Excalibur Series of Destroid, or early ASC designs such as the VF/A-8 Logan (Fielded in 2018), and the VHT-1/1A1 and VHR-2A (Both fielded in 2013). However, humans have a propensity to create and so, to that end, many CDF's (Colonial Defense Forces) have created and now field their own homegrown mecha designs. One important note should be made however; while the UEEF / UEG design teams of the Pioneer Mission and the ASC (before the Invid Invasion) boasted R&D departments with vast resources, in no way should Colonial equipment be considered antiquated or useless. While some designs may be obsolete when placed next to the current VA/F-6X Alpha, or the newer VA/F-13 Gamma, this does not mean they cannot hold their own against such fighters. In many cases, Colony mecha is larger (a VF-1 measures 46.5 ft in length compared to the 33.6 ft long Alpha) and more robust, not only due to size differences, but for the fact that on the frontier, mecha has to be more durable because they are harder to replace; far more so then any Alpha off a Factory Satellite assembly line.
