Reflex Point: Finale!

[07:03:25] Chris (GM): We will begin this in SPACE!
[07:03:35] Chris (GM): As the battle rages around you arrive at the UES Inchon, a Crusader class landing craft, within the Debris Field. Nearby, cloistered behind some larger remains of the 21st, are two white topped Ikazuchi carriers, unmistakably hospital ships due to their coloration, and top deck devoid of turrets, replaced instead by landing platforms for Horizon-R SAR birds.
[07:04:45] Lurana: "Baby sitting duty?" *she sounds disgusted over her short wave radio in her suit checking her 6 hr tank to see how much it has left
[07:04:58] Chris (GM): As you are deposited on deck by your wingman, you see organized bedlam as tech crews race about in the unpressurized and cavernous main deck.
[07:06:16] Chris (GM): Alpha and Beta fighters alike are being stripped down and cannibalized to repair and refit less damaged mecha as Full Sized Zentraedi rearm and move aircraft from place to place.
[07:07:06] ** Lurana steps out of her cockpit and snaps together her HP-90 Gallant into rifle form and looks about wondering why she was brought here…**
[07:08:03] Chris (GM): As you take all this in, a Large Zentraedi scoops you up in the palm of his hand and moves you up to 'Vulture's Row'
[07:08:31] Lurana: "Hey careful big guy I'm fragile this small!"
[07:08:46] Sarah: (( lol ))
[07:09:08] Lurana: (she would say that in pure Zentraedi)
[07:09:12] Chris (GM): There are a few dozen mecha less pilots here, and you can see two are being assisted into an airlock, the dayglo orange splotches of 'Slap Patches' on their armor proof that the damage they incurred had penetrated their armor.
[07:09:35] Chris (GM): [He cannot hear you in the depressurized / vacuum, of the bay]
[07:10:03] Lurana: ((oh he doesn't have a com helmet?)
[07:10:22] Chris (GM): he does, but you are not tuned to the deck crew freq
[07:11:13] ** Lurana looks about at the other pilots her her self uninjured as of yet and rather glad of it **
[07:11:30] Chris (GM): As you are set down; as gently as can be expected a Deck hand in CVR-3 approaches and holds up a data padd with a comm freq on it and points to your head.
[07:12:14] ** Lurana blinks and looks confused at the man **
[07:13:23] Chris (GM): The deck hand rolls his eyes and you can see him grumble in frustration, he scribbles somehting on the pad…"Switch your comm to this freq!!"
[07:13:40] ** Lurana does so **
[07:13:48] Lurana: "Better?"
[07:13:57] Chris (GM): "There ya go, easy huh?"
[07:14:14] Lurana: "Never knew these had different frequencies"
[07:14:22] Chris (GM): He turns the pad back to him. "Name? Ship? Rating? (meaning what do you fly)
[07:14:52] Chris (GM): "Yeah, we keep them separate in here, to much damn chatter with all whats going on out there."
[07:16:23] Lurana: "Lt. Fallyana UES Valley Forge, and I'm rated in just about any thing but bested with Alphas
[07:18:24] Chris (GM): He nods, "Alright, we should have you a new bird in about 10 minutes. You can wait here, or go inside and take a dump or whatever." He waves to the airlock with the pad, "Your late back and you have to get back in line capiche?"
[07:19:42] Lurana: "Ill just stay here, can i at least get into my cyclone? or where did my wingie put it…"
[07:19:59] ** Lurana peers over the edge looking for her Saber **
[07:20:47] Chris (GM): You see that the cyclone, still boxed up, is on the cat walk with you, the Zent has deposited it there (you also see a pile of cyclones, all neatly stacked in their stowed forms)
[07:21:39] ** Lurana presses a few buttons and settles it into bike mode soon as she straddles it it jumps into battloid mode due to its "Safety" feature **
[07:23:42] Chris (GM): You note a lithe female pilot float up over the guard rail and land with a slight thud as she enters the gravity enabled catwalk. She walks over to the Deckhand. “Why has a Beta not be joined to Alpha RY-335?” The deck hand sighs and looks over his pad after pressing a few buttons. “Says here you’re not a squadron commander.” Clearly unhappy at the young woman cuffs the deckhand by the scruff of his neck. “I’m acting flight lead! Now, if you please, see to that Beta.” He voice is calm, but the venom is evident. Without a word she vaults over into the Zero Gee area and with a swift kick, pushes herself back down to the flight deck.
[07:24:17] Chris (GM): clearly not happy at that*
[07:25:32] Chris (GM): A few nearby pilots see that, and note you embarking your cyclone and shake their heads, they look tired, and rest wearily against the guard rail.
[07:26:06] ** Lurana blinks and Decides to follow her least for now she can at least have another active pilot to talk to who's as anxious as she is to return to the fight and uses the thrusters to maneuver her self after her. **
[07:27:38] Chris (GM): With your thrusters you catch up easily. She has just reached her mecha and has landed softly. You see her pull herself with her hands to the underside with a pad she retrieved from her cockpit.
[07:28:15] Chris (GM): Roll PERC
[07:28:22] Lurana: "Least some one wants to get back to kicking Invid tail around here"
[07:28:26] Lurana: [1d20] => [19] = (19)
[07:29:10] Chris (GM): As you swing under the aircraft as well to make the small talk you catch a glimpse at the tail of the aircraft and the vertical stabilizer is emblazoned with a Rising Sun motif
[07:30:09] Lurana: "Rising Sun squad eh? perhaps it was you and a wing mate that saved my ass from the fire earlier?"
[07:31:22] Chris (GM): The woman turns her head, and looks at you, well, at least you think she does, her visor is tinted gold. "We saved a lot today." Roll perc
[07:31:34] Lurana: [1d20] => [4] = (4)
[07:31:53] Chris (GM): You notice nothing
[07:32:53] Chris (GM): "And it's the Sundowners…not Rising Sun's" she replies, turning back to a Zent that is rearming her mecha.
[07:32:54] Lurana: "Oh Well was hoping to thank the pair in person after the fight at lest that is if we return to some place we can all mingle at."
[07:33:40] ** Lurana would see if she could assist in helping rearm the mecha given shes a lot stronger than most within the cyclone **
[07:33:41] Chris (GM): You see her nod her head but does not turn. "If we live."
[07:34:49] Chris (GM): You see that the Full size Zentraedi is more then proficient at the task at hand, as for him sliding short range missiles into their slots would be fore you sliding a hi-lighter marker into round holes
[07:35:55] Chris (GM): Over your comm you hear "Fallyna, Valley Forge, report to bay 15!"
[07:36:24] Lurana: "Gota go.. see you out there" *she thrusters and floats towards that bay.*
[07:36:50] Chris (GM): As you float off you hear from the woman "Ja ne!"
[07:36:58] Chris (GM): Perc roll
[07:37:06] Lurana: [1d20] => [9] = (9)
[07:37:17] Lurana: (i have got to get some perc bonus lol)
[07:37:26] Chris (GM): You can't be sure, but it sounds like one of those oriental languages from earth…
[07:37:33] Lurana: (least as far as i noticed while building i didn't get a bonus)
[07:38:17] Chris (GM): As you arrive at Bay 15, you see a Shadow Alpha being preflighted
[07:39:43] Lurana: "There letting me use a shadow alpha?…." *she looks the thing over curiously
[07:40:07] Chris (GM): Right then, the tech looks at you "Want to shuck that thing lady so we can load it?" He says curtly
[07:41:30] Lurana: "Yea" *she flips a switch as it opens up depositing into a heap on the floor then she flips a few more switches folding it into its compact form for loading into the alpha*
[07:42:38] Lurana: "Are they happening to be mating it with a beta we could use all the fire power we need out there"
[07:42:47] Chris (GM): As the tech stuff the cyclone roughly into it's slot another tech straps you in. "You're loaded with Plasma." He says as he pulls the straps tight then slides the canopy down. "Give em hell LT!"
[07:43:42] Chris (GM): "Oh, and don't forget to clear your freqs! We don't need to hear you bite it okay!"
[07:44:18] Lurana: "Fine fine, but are they gonna mate me with a beta so theres a lil more fire power to throw around out there?"
[07:44:43] ** Lurana reaches over flicking switches to start it up figuring the answer will be "No" how ever **
[07:45:02] Chris (GM): "No!" he replies as you feel your alpha pulled towards the launch area by a 'Bulldog'
[07:46:53] ** Lurana clears her comms and switches back to the main battle channel and switches on her shadow device **
[07:47:15] Chris (GM): As you are towed to your 'cat' you see the other ladies Alpha/Beta get launched out into space along with a few other aircraft. As an aside, you see a few Full Size Zentraedi and Bioroid Interceptors standing guard at the bay doors, their weapons at the ready as you see weapons fire from further ahead.
[07:48:14] ** Lurana launches and maneuvers to catch up to the other lady **

[07:50:35] Chris (GM): In the hanger bay of your ship, the UES Polaris, your techs strap you into a new Bioroid, you recognize it as "Hatey Eight: Number 88" The unit the newbie gets.
[07:51:07] Chris (GM): "Sorry buddy." The tech snickers. "Chiefs orders."
[07:51:51] Oberoth: "well it's better than nothing I suppose."
[07:52:47] Chris (GM): The tech nods and gives you a thumbs up and salute. "Fuck em up LT!" he says as he flaots away backwards
[07:53:13] Oberoth: *returns salute and powers up*
[07:55:25] Chris (GM): As you rejoin the fight your Section leader, and one other surviving squaddie meet up. "4th Platoon ready to go command." You squad leader says. "Roger that Yancy. Get your asses to grid reference 2 Alpha niner Bravo!, we have a heat spike in the drive section of that lead Clamship, looks like it's getting ready to ram the Daikoku. Take that ship OUT!"
[07:56:30] Oberoth: "Roger"
[07:57:17] Oberoth: *follows his platoon to the coordinates*
[07:57:33] Chris (GM): Yancy double clicks affirmative to Command "Okay team, lets move! We have a job to do! John you take point, Drew, you have tail end charlie!"
[07:58:11] Chris (GM): Drew replies and hangs back.
[07:59:31] Oberoth: "10-4! on point"
[08:01:24] Chris (GM): Ahead of you, you see alphas and Invid scouts, Invid scouts and more Invid scouts, filling the space in from of you, the burning hulks of command carriers and Garfish cruisers litter the area and Horizon-R SAR birds dart in and out picking up escape pods and downed pilots heedless of the danger and their red and white escort Alpha's clear the way (you know that those fighters belong to the Nightingales, an Elite squadron tasked with the protection of hospital ships and SAR craft, these guys are damn good and the waiting list to join is a good light year long)
[08:02:38] Chris (GM): You see the Clamship now, looming ahead of you.
[08:03:17] Chris (GM): "Theres our bitch!" Yancy states. "All right ladies, you know the drill, we breach their command center and kill anything that moves!"
[08:05:41] Chris (GM): As you near the clamship you can see a few (about 10) Scouts flying escort.
[08:06:59] Oberoth: "Yancy. should we try slipping past these suckers?"
[08:08:45] Chris (GM): Yancy sighs, "I wish, tell you what, I'll draw em off, John, you and Drew do the deed!" (You are senoir in rank based on Time in Grade, to Drew, so that puts you in command)
[08:09:48] Oberoth: "roger that!"
[08:10:09] Oberoth: "drew, follow my lead."
[08:10:13] Chris (GM): Okay, yer move, lemme know whatcha gonna do?
[08:10:47] Oberoth: (( has Yancy distracted them at all? ))
[08:11:22] Chris (GM): let us see
[08:11:30] Chris (GM): [1d10] => [5] = (5)
[08:11:38] Chris (GM): A full 5 of them go after Yancy
[08:12:15] Chris (GM): Leaving 5 for you two
[08:12:19] Oberoth: lock 4 targets. not Yancy's
[08:13:26] Chris (GM): Drew will pick up the spare, roll it
[08:13:40] Oberoth: "drew. lock theses targets." *sends data*
[08:14:15] Oberoth: [1d20+3] => [2,3] = (5)
[08:15:00] Chris (GM): how many missiles each target?
[08:15:19] Oberoth: 4
[08:15:24] Chris (GM): excellent
[08:15:33] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [14,2] = (16)
[08:15:33] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [11,2] = (13)
[08:15:33] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [14,2] = (16)
[08:15:34] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [20,2] = (22)
[08:15:41] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [75] = (75)
[08:15:42] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [29] = (29)
[08:15:42] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [77] = (77)
[08:15:42] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [85] = (85)
[08:16:17] Chris (GM): One Invid manages to detonate the volley sent after him, while the other three each kill one missile and are hit with the other three, roll damage please
[08:16:47] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 20
[08:16:53] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 100
[08:16:54] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 70
[08:17:15] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 80
[08:17:16] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 100
[08:17:16] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 90
[08:17:17] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 90
[08:17:18] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 60
[08:17:18] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 100
[08:17:27] Chris (GM): it's easier if you just roll it as 2D6*10*2
[08:17:44] Chris (GM): but no matter, you paste three scouts straight away
[08:17:55] Chris (GM): Drew fires at his with 4 missiles.
[08:17:58] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [2] = (2)
[08:18:02] Chris (GM): and misses
[08:18:12] Chris (GM): the Invid fire at you, both of em
[08:18:16] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [3,2] = (5)
[08:18:16] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [19,2] = (21)
[08:18:20] Oberoth: (( 2 left ))
[08:18:23] Chris (GM): On misses, the other, may hit
[08:19:03] Chris (GM): Init please
[08:19:10] Oberoth: "drew. engage at will! I'll try to slip past them."
[08:19:13] Chris (GM): Drew
[08:19:14] Chris (GM): [1d20+3] => [9,3] = (12)
[08:19:23] Chris (GM): Invid
[08:19:23] Chris (GM): [1d20+1] => [10,1] = (11)
[08:19:23] Chris (GM): [1d20+1] => [13,1] = (14)
[08:19:27] Oberoth: speed change max
[08:19:59] Chris (GM): roll initiative please
[08:20:57] Oberoth: [1d20+2] => [1,2] = (3)
[08:21:23] Chris (GM): One Invid fires at…
[08:21:27] Chris (GM): odd you even drew
[08:21:30] Chris (GM): [1d10] => [4] = (4)
[08:21:36] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [5,2] = (7)
[08:21:41] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [19,4] = (23)
[08:21:56] Chris (GM): Drew dodges such that the Invid feels it's manhood cheap
[08:22:04] Chris (GM): The other Invid fires at
[08:22:07] Chris (GM): [1d10] => [3] = (3)
[08:22:12] Chris (GM): You!
[08:22:15] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [1,2] = (3)
[08:22:28] Chris (GM): And misses such that it feels it's manhood cheap
[08:22:37] Chris (GM): Drew fires at the two
[08:22:38] Oberoth: (( hehe ))
[08:22:42] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [4] = (4)
[08:22:55] Chris (GM): and misses…then remembers to ARM the damn things!
[08:22:57] Chris (GM): your turn
[08:23:30] Oberoth: will attempt to get past them to the ship
[08:24:29] Chris (GM): Okay, you blow past them without firing, the Invid…
[08:24:34] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [77] = (77)
[08:24:34] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [90] = (90)
[08:24:48] Chris (GM): Decide to go after Drew since he is still in front of them
[08:24:51] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [1,2] = (3)
[08:25:08] Chris (GM): One misses so bad the Regess auto detonates it (j/k, but damn)
[08:25:21] Sarah: (( lol ))
[08:25:29] Chris (GM): Drew fires another spread "For GAWD sakes HIT!" he yells to his missiles.
[08:25:31] Oberoth: (( haha ))
[08:25:34] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [5] = (5)
[08:25:42] Chris (GM): "Thank you JESUS!!!"
[08:25:46] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [11,2] = (13)
[08:25:46] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [18,2] = (20)
[08:25:51] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [5] = (5)
[08:25:51] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [29] = (29)
[08:26:22] Chris (GM): And the Invid are able to blow up their respective volleys "Oh taht is NOT fair!" Drew whines.
[08:26:25] Chris (GM): Your turn
[08:27:30] Oberoth: "drew, I hope you can handle them. I'm going to land on the surface of the ship."
[08:28:38] Chris (GM): Drew: "yeah, I got em, about out of missiles though! Chief is so gonna kill me!"
[08:29:19] Oberoth: "he won't be so mad if we are successful"
[08:30:26] Chris (GM): Drew: "No shit right!" he laughs
[08:30:32] Chris (GM): Your move slick!
[08:31:58] Oberoth: lock ten missiles on the ship. to blow a hole for my entry
[08:32:07] Chris (GM): Roll it
[08:32:21] Oberoth: [1d20+3] => [12,3] = (15)
[08:33:17] Oberoth: [2d20*10*10] => 1100
[08:33:25] Oberoth: opps
[08:33:31] Oberoth: [2d6*10*10] => 800
[08:37:57] Chris (GM): Your missile volley impacts the rear of the vessel and engulfs the engineering section in fire. As the blast subsides you see that engines have been torn from their housings and what remains of them fall away from the ship in large blazing chunks. The ships top side maneuvering jets have likewise been evaporated and their fuel lines are spewing jets of flame into space as the reactant mass evacuates into space.
[08:38:53] Chris (GM): The ship begins to list, but maintains it's forward momentum towards the Diakoku. Perc Roll
[08:41:38] Oberoth: [1d20] => [16] = (16)
[08:41:46] Oberoth: (( yay ))
[08:43:00] Chris (GM): You note that should the Diakoku maneuver now she should be fine as even with it's forward momentum, the Clam ship in it's condition is no longer capable of altering it's trajectory.
[08:44:43] Oberoth: *open comm to Diakoku* W"We have disabled their maneuvering capability Diakoku. You can evade at will!"
[08:44:49] Chris (GM): "Hoo AH! Nice shot John!" You hear from Drew. "Fucked em up good!"
[08:45:31] Chris (GM): "Roger that pilot! We see it. The captain extends his thanks." you hear from the Diakoku's communications officer.
[08:45:47] Oberoth: "you bet buddy! we're lean and mean."
[08:47:05] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [18] = (18)
[08:47:08] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [63] = (63)
[08:47:14] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [6,2] = (8)
[08:47:16] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [2,2] = (4)
[08:47:34] Chris (GM): You note that Drew has killed the remaining two, but reports that he is no OUT of the missiles
[08:48:14] Oberoth: "Yancy, you ok?"
[08:48:34] Chris (GM): You get no reply
[08:49:09] Oberoth: "drew, do you see Yancy!"
[08:49:11] Oberoth: ?
[08:50:59] Chris (GM): "Um, looking…um, no man, I don;t see him, I'm not picking up any….oh FUCK! We have inbounds! I count 2!"
[08:51:44] Oberoth: (( sensors? ))
[08:51:54] Chris (GM): yessir
[08:52:00] Chris (GM): Read Sensory…
[08:52:04] Chris (GM): Sensory
[08:52:31] Oberoth: [1d100] => [7] = (7)
[08:52:48] Oberoth: (( RSE 43% ))
[08:53:31] Chris (GM): Outside of the enormous cluster fuck that surrounds you, you do in fact pick up 2 inbound that your combat computer has pegged at 2 of the fire targets that Yancy drew away, you do NOT see Yancy's IFF or any other trace of he Bioroid.
[08:54:20] Oberoth: (( distance? ))
[08:54:35] Chris (GM): Close enough…Init rolls please
[08:54:41] Chris (GM): [1d20+3] => [12,3] = (15)
[08:54:43] Chris (GM): Drew
[08:54:51] Chris (GM): Invid
[08:54:52] Oberoth: [1d20+2] => [20,2] = (22)
[08:54:52] Chris (GM): [1d20+1] => [4,1] = (5)
[08:54:52] Chris (GM): [1d20+1] => [19,1] = (20)
[08:55:19] Chris (GM): You get to go first and may affix HA HA! to your first attack free of charge!
[08:56:27] Oberoth: lock 2 targets 3 each
[08:57:17] Chris (GM): the Invid fire as you lock them up
[08:57:22] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [11,2] = (13)
[08:57:22] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [16,2] = (18)
[08:57:50] Chris (GM): you can still autododge as the computer is doing the work right now
[08:58:22] Oberoth: [1d20+4] => [6,4] = (10)
[08:58:24] Oberoth: [1d20+4] => [9,4] = (13)
[08:58:35] Chris (GM): [4d6*2] => 40
[08:58:41] Chris (GM): You take 40 pernts o damage
[08:59:05] Chris (GM): Drew fires his HLC at one of the Invid
[08:59:15] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [18,4] = (22)
[08:59:22] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [15,2] = (17)
[08:59:25] Chris (GM): hitting
[09:00:02] Chris (GM): [2d6*10] => 50
[09:00:15] Chris (GM): tagging it hard but not killing it
[09:00:19] Chris (GM): your shot
[09:00:39] Oberoth: duel cannons
[09:01:35] Oberoth: [1d20+6] => [1,6] = (7)
[09:01:54] Chris (GM): you were shooting missile , either way, you still miss
[09:02:18] Oberoth: (( oh right ))
[09:02:28] Chris (GM): the Invid fire, one at you,the other at Drew
[09:02:35] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [17,2] = (19)

[09:06:30] Chris (GM): the Invid misses

[09:07:17] Chris (GM): Obliterating his target in a brilliant explosion!
[09:07:59] Chris (GM): Your shot
[09:08:28] Oberoth: duel cannons
[09:08:39] Chris (GM): do it to it
[09:08:51] Oberoth: [1d20+6] => [3,6] = (9)
[09:09:36] Chris (GM): Big Wiffah!
[09:09:52] Chris (GM): The Invid makes a ramming pass at you going 700 mph
[09:10:02] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [5,2] = (7)
[09:10:33] Oberoth: [1d20+4] => [20,4] = (24)
[09:11:12] Chris (GM): Yeah, so, as he passes by, you reach out and pat his head twice on his way by, just to piss him off
[09:12:01] Chris (GM): Drew moves to finish him off "Slick move John! Slick move!"
[09:12:05] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [15,4] = (19)
[09:12:09] Chris (GM): [1d20+6] => [2,6] = (8)
[09:12:15] Chris (GM): and hits
[09:12:27] Chris (GM): [2d6*10] => 70
[09:12:34] Chris (GM): The Invid detonates
[09:13:37] Chris (GM): "4th Platoon, flash update, new picture!. Report to Grid coordinates (insert numbers here) and rendezvous with the Inchon! You'll get further orders from her CO."
[09:13:44] Oberoth: "ditto buddy"
[09:14:25] Chris (GM): "Whoop, new orders!" Drew notes "Why do I feel like a goddamned pinball here?"
[09:14:32] Oberoth: "request permission to search for Yancy."
[09:15:48] Chris (GM): "Negative! Report to the Inchon best speed, we have SAR birds in the area. If he's out there, they'll find him. You have your orders."
[09:17:00] Chris (GM): You note the subdued pain in the comm officers voice, knowing that Yancy and him were poker buddies aboard ship.
[09:17:17] Oberoth: *sighs* "roger. proceeding to coordinates""
[09:20:04] Chris (GM): You make your way thru the battlefield, debris of friend and foe litter the path towards the Debris field. When you see the UES Inchon, a Crusader class landing craft. As you approach the ships comm contacts you, directing you to land immediately and secure for atmospheric insertion.
[09:20:53] Oberoth: "10-4 Inchon."
[09:21:53] Chris (GM): The Inchon breaks free of the Debris ring and maneuvers its way to follow the advance team of Shadow fighters it had launched not 5 minutes earlier..[dt]
[09:22:36] Lurana: (Guess I'm in that team?…)
[09:22:53] Chris (GM): Ahead of the landing craft the Shadow Alphas and Beta combinations begin their decent. AS they clear the blackout zone their comm units indicate a flash priority message from command"
[09:23:00] Chris (GM): [dt = don't talk y'all]
[09:24:18] Chris (GM): "All shadow units stand by for flash traffic." You hear from Spark, a man you all know from day one of the academy as the comm officer aboard the UES Liberator, General Reinhardt's Command ship, and personal aide to Reinhardt himself..[dt]
[09:25:00] ** Lurana looks down at her flash comm? **
[09:25:46] Chris (GM): Within seconds General Reinhardt's face appears, grim, and almost tortured. "Attention all units. The ground battle is not going well, we have lost most of our men and communications have been cut off to our commanders in the field." [dt]
[09:26:42] Chris (GM): "As such I have authorized the use of our Neutron-S weaponry." (dt)
[09:27:03] Chris (GM): You can hear the gasps form some within the flotilla
[09:27:46] ** Lurana would grumble a bit not wanting earth to be given a scorched earth policy **
[09:29:24] Chris (GM): "Those weapons will reach the point of no return in 30 minutes. You are our last gasp! Your mission is to assault Reflex Points command hive, locate the Regess and kill her! If you fail those weapons will have to be employed! Right now the Inchon and the Normandy have been ordered to land and evacuate as many ground personnel as possible in case you fail." (dt)
[09:30:12] Chris (GM): "Gods Speed! We are counting on you! General Reinhardt out!" The screen goes blank, replaced with your default readout
[09:31:05] Oberoth: *to drew*"wow! I never thought I would see the day."
[09:31:57] Oberoth: "we're goin' to destroy the earth…Again!"

[09:30:28] Chris (GM): Sarah!
[09:31:38] Chris (GM): You and your unit have been engaged in non stop combat for the last 25 minutes, and since your initial breach of the wall and following advance you have been stalled by an every increasing glut of enemy forces.
[09:32:59] Chris (GM): In the middle of the fight a priority message comes through on all frequencies. "All units, all units! Flash override, you are to withdraw immediately to your extraction points as per your ROE." This message repates three times.
[09:33:02] ** Lurana would shake her head not wanting those missiles to be deployed she looks below and doubles her efforts **
[09:34:24] Chris (GM): Beside her the sergeant curses, "Damn fine mess! we're cut off!" As he says this a Garfish monitor behind you begins to maneuver away, so close, but now, so far. "Don't leave us you bastards! you hear one of the marines cry out!
[09:36:19] Chris (GM): The sergeant sighs, looking over the group, now only 5 strong. "Suck don't it?" He pats a nearby soldier on the shoulder.
[09:36:43] Chris (GM): He looks to Sarah. "Sorry you got mixed up in all this. For what it's worth, thanks."
[09:37:01] ** Sarah frowns just a little bit, holding her rifle and shaking her head, glancing to the Sarge. She sighs just a little bit, listening and seeing the leaving garfish. "Well, crap." She shrugs to him. "It's been fun, anyway…" **
[09:37:44] ** Sarah also kinda tries to listen for what kind of bs is being blown about on the hivelink, if she can do it without being noticed. **
[09:38:35] Chris (GM): TO the folks in Alphas!:… As you descend you see the battlefield before you, what was once lush forest is now a charred and barren moonscape littered with the dead. Before you you see your target, a smaller hive on the north western tip of Lake Superior. the antiaircraft fire from that place is incredible.
[09:39:06] Chris (GM): Aboard the Inchon: Nearby soldiers reflect the same disbelief that John expressed and the mood is dour.
[09:40:11] ** Lurana would be glad the anti-aircraft batteries don't see her to good **
[09:40:33] Chris (GM): the Commander of the ship comes on over the comm system "This is the captain speaking. I know that this does not sit well with you, I know it does not sit well with me. but, thats the way it is. now, we have a job to do! We have less then 30 minutes to get as many people out of the impact zone as we can and thats exactly what we are going to do! That is all!"
[09:42:07] Lurana: "Captain i suppose us shadow fighters have our order to assault the reflex point and draw their attention then?"
[09:42:21] Chris (GM): On the Ground!: In the air you can see the tell tales of ships entering the atmosphere. A slew of smaller ones followed by two larger trails further behind
[09:42:41] Chris (GM): "Oh god! you think they're coming for us?" That same Marine all but yelps
[09:44:38] Chris (GM): The commander of the Shadow fighters replies in a deep baritone "Yes we will follow our Shadow Drones in, let them soften the enemy up. Speed is of the essence, if one of you falls, tough , leave them behind, the Regess is our target! We kill her and we end this!"
[09:46:37] Chris (GM): In the air. As you begin your final approach the shadow drones take lead and the Invid, predictably begin to open fire, however, from underneath come anti aircraft fire as well, cutting a swath through the formation, forcing some to break away to avoid getting hit
[09:47:43] ** Lurana would do her best to stay on the wing of the Element lead (flight leader what ever) through the swath of fire **
[09:48:09] Chris (GM): On the ground: You see the antiaircraft fire intensify, and some of the fighters are forced away fromt eh main group, one, an Alpha beta combination ducks and weaves through flax bursts, buffeted all the way until in hits tree top level, and deploys the legs of the beta, and engages it's thrusters to slow it's fall, landing almost on top of you
[09:48:57] Chris (GM): Roll piloting Lurana
[09:49:31] Lurana: [1d100] => [49] = (49)
[09:49:37] Lurana: (vs 71)
[09:50:43] Chris (GM): you are able to stay with the lead element, but that Alpha beta you had been followin was one that got cut from the 'herd'
[09:53:20] Lurana: "I got your back wing leader"
[09:53:26] Chris (GM): Sarah, you are thrown to the ground by the landing Alpha/Beta. The craft lands hard, but maintains the balance, a testimony to the skill of the pilot, it takes a lumbering step to the left to face Reflex Point and hunkers down looking as if it is about to launch into the air again when the Sergeant yell on his override channel "PILOT! WAIT!"
[09:54:42] Chris (GM): The craft hesitates then settles. Over the comm you hear a female voice "What?"
[09:55:30] Chris (GM): "We have a beta pilot here! She got shot down!" The sergeant looks at Sarah "Look, we may be toast, but, you might be able to get out of here, at least have a fighting chance."
[09:56:33] ** Sarah frowns a little bit at that, glancing to the Sarge. "What about the bomb bay? If it's empty, we all have a way out…" **
[09:56:33] Chris (GM): It looks as if the Alpha pilot might ignore the plea but after an agonizing 5 seconds that feel like 5 hours the Alpha transforms into battloid mode and detaches from the Beta unit.
[09:58:58] Chris (GM): The female pilot replies. "Full load of missiles… sorry." The sergeant shakes his head. Not even if we could ma'am, our orders are to retreat, we'll be fine. you go. Get out!"
[09:59:31] Chris (GM): The Alpha kneels down and put it's hand out for Sarah.
[09:59:57] ** Sarah swears softly and sighs, losing a tear as she climbs into the hand. "I just don't want to abandon any of them." **
[10:00:52] Chris (GM): The sergeant looks up at the Alpha, "Mind if you take our logs?" The pilots makes the alpha nod. "Roger that, I'll send help if I can. I didn't see to may enemy to your south east."
[10:02:11] Chris (GM): The alpha lifts you up to the now open cockpit of a Shadow Beta, you'd seen them before, but never this close. The craft looks like your old beta, but more angular, almost sinister lines.
[10:02:41] ** Sarah frowns a little at the unit, wincing slightly at the implications, and lets herself get dropped in for now. **
[10:03:38] Chris (GM): "Follow me, if you lag behind, you're on your own." The Alpha pilot notes
[10:05:28] ** Sarah nods a little bit. "I'll follow. Don't worry about that." **
[10:06:01] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot takes off, shifting into Gerwalk mode. "We're headed into Reflex point, our target is the Regess. Our orders are to shoot on sight. You clear on that?
[10:07:33] ** Sarah nods just a little bit. "Acknowledged. Target clear." She flinches behind her helmet once she isn't on the com system anymore, however. **
[10:09:06] ** Lurana would be gritting and slinking back and forth glad her shadow cloak is on but still prefers seat of the pants flying trying to get in range to destabilize the shield of reflex point! **
[10:10:06] Chris (GM): The Alpha takes off and once int eh air makes a bee line towards Reflex Point
[10:11:12] Chris (GM): As you approach you see ground units that were idle now turn towards you and your new winglady and open fire.
[10:12:25] ** Sarah follows the Alpha along, frowning just a little at the screen and sighing as the ground units start firing. "Oh great…" **
[10:12:41] Chris (GM): Roll init
[10:12:59] Sarah: [1d20+1] => [6,1] = (7)

[10:27:14] Chris (GM): Reflex point looms ahead of you and you see the entry way, flanked by two Commanders (PCU's) and 8 Soldiers. (the shield barring entry is active)
[10:27:37] Chris (GM): "Use your missile bay!" the Alpha pilots instructs
[10:28:23] ** Sarah sighs quietly, bracing herself for the breaching of Reflex Point. She shivers just slightly, watching and still not, well, liking what she's flying, of course. She frowns at the entrance blockage. **
[10:28:30] Sarah: (( how many missiles in bay? ))
[10:28:49] Chris (GM): A full compliment of 8 medium
[10:29:41] ** Sarah fires two MRMs each at the PCUs to start off, figuring they're the biggest threat in the group. **

[10:31:31] Chris (GM): (Update for the others) On the Inchon: The Ship lands and the bay doors come down, and you see Earth for the first time, but is an ugly pace devastated and smoldering… In the Air: The Shadow drones have done their job but with terrible losses, but Reflex Point looms ahead and you and a few other alpha use your Destabilizers and punch a hole through the shields, and the rest of your team some 25 strong, + another 50 Shadow Drones, break inside…

[10:48:04] Chris (GM): for 140 points
[10:48:33] Chris (GM): The Alpha returns fire with 8 SRM's

[10:49:13] Chris (GM): should have taken the 13 but thats not fair since I did roll 2 D 20
[10:49:25] Chris (GM): Your turn Carrie
[10:49:44] Sarah: (( wasn't there a 2nd PCU still up and intending to fire at me for hitting it? ))
[10:49:50] Sarah: (( it never did so. ))
[10:50:18] Chris (GM): yes
[10:50:23] Chris (GM): my bad, here it comes
[10:50:24] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [80] = (80)
[10:50:29] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [13,2] = (15)

[10:50:38] Sarah: [1d20+9] => [7,9] = (16)
[10:50:52] Sarah: (( whiff! ))
[10:51:22] Chris (GM): you barely squeak past, you have to make a choice now, swing around for another pass (forieting two attacks till you can face front again, or transform and duke it out in battloid or gerwalk mode
[10:51:58] ** Sarah swears idly that the PCUs are STILL causing troubles, switching to Gerwalk, and firing 5 SRMs each at both the PCUs, getting angrier by now. **
[10:52:26] Sarah: [1d20+3] => [20,3] = (23)
[10:52:45] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [18,2] = (20)
[10:52:49] Chris (GM): roll damage
[10:54:04] Sarah: (( critical strike! *dance* ))
[10:54:09] Chris (GM):
[10:54:14] Sarah: [2d6*10*5*2] => 600
[10:54:16] Sarah: [2d6*10*5*2] => 700
[10:54:52] Sarah: (( I see a couple dead ducks ))
[10:55:29] Chris (GM): everything within 15 feet of the PCU is vaporized, the PCU, and 4 soldiers all disintegrate, burned into atoms by fiery plasma
[10:57:44] Chris (GM): Lets see, it would be Alpha's turn then the last group of soldiers…
[10:58:37] Sarah: (( ph34r t3h cute ones! ))
[10:58:54] Chris (GM): The alpha transform into battloid mode, lands and whips out a destabilizer and a EU-12 one in each hand. her should pods snap open and he fires another 8 missiles
[10:59:01] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [7] = (7)
[10:59:28] Chris (GM): The Soldiers fire at the alpha
[11:00:53] Chris (GM): [2d6*10*8] => 720
[11:00:46] Chris (GM): to the remaining soldiers and shielded entrance…
[11:01:24] Chris (GM): The soldiers wink out and the shield merely flickers as if to say "yeah, right!"
[11:02:27] Chris (GM): The Alpha levels her Destabilizer, and fires at the shield, regardless of damage, the shield falls and the Alpha motioned you forward "go go go!"
[11:03:51] ** Sarah flies through the hole quickly, and starts flying into the 'main' of Reflex Point, watching around wide-eyed as she does. **
[11:04:22] Chris (GM): The Alpha follows you in and none to soon, as as soon as she crosses inside, the shield winks back up, restored.

[11:04:36] Chris (GM): Lurana's turn
[11:06:02] ** Lurana would blast her own way in if no flying opposition tries to stop her and the wing leader (what ever), **
[11:07:10] Chris (GM): You and the rest of your team land at the base of a shielded entry, an fusillade of missile fire obliterating the resistance there. Your squad leader blasts open the shields and your shadow drones pour in like a black and grey flood of hate and discontent
[11:07:52] ** Lurana would head in then right behind the drones! **
[11:08:37] Chris (GM): You enter Reflex Point, it is an eerie place, organic in appearance, with a soft orange bioluminescent glow to it.
[11:09:26] ** Lurana sneers a bit switching from battloid to alpha and begins to move deeper soon as the rest of the wing is inside **
[11:09:48] ** Lurana would be showing sighs of hotheadedness specially with the approaching victory **
[11:10:16] Chris (GM): There are numerous pathways to take, and the squad leader directs teams to follow each one. You and three others plus 4 drones are directed to take an easterly pathway
[11:11:32] Chris (GM): As you make your way in, two of your drones are cut down almost instantly by cross fire
[11:11:47] ** Lurana heads east hovering a few feet off the ground keeping a steady pace glints of hatred in her eyes "where are you Regess i wanna pluck your head from your shoulders…" *She says to her self **
[11:11:56] Chris (GM): the rest of the 'human' team flatten themselves to the walls as the drones blindly engage the enemy.
[11:12:24] ** Lurana would flatten around then probe with her sensors for where the fire came from **
[11:12:36] Lurana: [1d100] => [16] = (16)
[11:12:40] Lurana: vs 48)
[11:13:29] Chris (GM): As the drones move forward your sensors pickup the tell tale heat of two battloid sized mecha at each of the entrances to a intersection about 100yards out
[11:13:58] Chris (GM): The drones move forward and fire
[11:14:06] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [10,2] = (12)
[11:14:07] Chris (GM): [1d20+2] => [12,2] = (14)
[11:14:21] ** Lurana floors it "There they are!" *coming around she levels her destabilizer for a full auto burst at one of the mecha! **
[11:14:47] Chris (GM): [1d20+7] => [18,7] = (25)
[11:14:50] Chris (GM): [1d20+7] => [6,7] = (13)
[11:15:05] Chris (GM): The drones get a piece of one of them, but the other dodges back with ease
[11:15:15] Chris (GM): Init!
[11:16:13] Lurana: [1d20] => [7] = (7)
[11:16:34] Lurana: (12 forgot the +5)
[11:17:21] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [18,4] = (22)
[11:17:26] Chris (GM): Ooooooooooo
[11:17:55] Chris (GM): As you come around the corner, with your squad yelling "NOooo! WAIT!" you are met with a spread of missiles to the dome!
[11:18:06] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [11] = (11)
[11:18:22] Chris (GM): 4 missiles are fired at you
[11:18:40] Lurana: (ok how do i attack them roll normal attack then %?)
[11:18:51] Chris (GM): you have to roll to hit
[11:19:02] Lurana: [1d20+10] => [19,10] = (29)
[11:19:09] Chris (GM): roll percentile
[11:19:26] ** Lurana opens up with her destabilizer on the missiles! **
[11:19:36] Lurana: [1d100] => [5] = (5)
[11:19:39] Chris (GM): [2d100] => [1,84] = (85)
[11:20:58] Chris (GM): you will take splash damage since these thing blew up in your face even if they didn't directly hit you
[11:21:20] Chris (GM): [2d6*10*3/2] => 60
[11:21:28] Chris (GM): You take 60 points of damage
[11:21:47] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [7,4] = (11)
[11:21:50] Lurana: (now that cost me an attack right?)
[11:21:55] Chris (GM): yes
[11:22:06] Lurana: (6 to go)
[11:22:09] Chris (GM): and from behind you the other enemy fires at you with 4 missiles of his
[11:22:16] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [2] = (2)
[11:22:34] Chris (GM): wiffing as the entire corridor is engulfed in flame debris and smoke
[11:23:15] Chris (GM): Your squad move up to cover your brash charge
[11:23:32] Chris (GM): [1d20+5] => [5,5] = (10)
[11:23:32] Chris (GM): [1d20+5] => [14,5] = (19)

[11:23:50] Chris (GM): Hitting only once
[11:24:29] Lurana: "Since when do Invid use missiles!"*She glares at the unusual shaped Invid fighters&
[11:24:43] Lurana: (My turn now?)
[11:24:46] Chris (GM): [2d4+30] => [4,1,30] = (35)
[11:24:57] Chris (GM): [2d4*10+30] => 110
[11:25:00] Chris (GM): for 110
[11:25:38] Chris (GM): No, the Invid commander fires at you first since it had won init, it fires another 4 missiles at you as it move back further into the corridor
[11:25:44] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [4] = (4)
[11:26:10] Chris (GM): missing, but obscuring you from him visually, roll an RSI to keep your bonuses, otherwise it's a blind fire
[11:26:29] Lurana: [1d100] => [14] = (14)
[11:26:35] Lurana: (vs 480
[11:26:41] Lurana: (48 that is)
[11:26:49] Chris (GM): You can still make him out on sensors…you may fire with your bonuses
[11:27:25] ** Lurana would throttle up to a cruse charging him opening up with her destabilizer at him in an auto burst! **
[11:27:30] Lurana: [1d20+10] => [3,10] = (13)
[11:27:35] Chris (GM): you miss
[11:27:35] Lurana: (miss)

[11:28:47] Chris (GM): one kills all it's missiles the other
[11:28:52] Chris (GM): [2d6*10*3] => 240
[11:28:57] Chris (GM): takes 240 as well
[11:29:18] Chris (GM): They fire

[11:33:13] Chris (GM): roll yer dodge
[11:33:25] Lurana: (cant dodge a crit can i?)
[11:33:38] Chris (GM): yes, but you have to roll a nat 20 as well, so, roll it
[11:33:46] Lurana: [1d20+10] => [8,10] = (18)
[11:33:51] Chris (GM): newp

[11:35:04] Lurana: (i ain't that damaged…)
[11:35:07] Lurana: (am i?)
[11:35:24] Chris (GM): Your radar fritzes showing ghost images and sensor shadows, you are -8 to hit without visual conformation
[11:36:00] Chris (GM): actually, yeah, you aren't
[11:36:19] Chris (GM): but thats what's gonna be the penalty when you do get blasted for over 60%
[11:36:34] Chris (GM): The other Invid fires at the rest of your squad
[11:36:39] Chris (GM): same thing
[11:37:13] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [1] = (1)
[11:37:26] Lurana: (boom boom boom misses?)
[11:37:45] Chris (GM): and , as comical relief, 16 missiles 'shoonk' and flop out of their tubes, and hit the ground, and roll about.
[11:37:56] Sarah: (( rotfl ))
[11:38:06] Chris (GM): The Invid turns and runs
[11:38:19] Chris (GM): With your squaddies firing at him as he goes

[11:40:26] Chris (GM): roll
[11:40:29] Chris (GM): you miss
[11:40:39] Chris (GM): he fires at you with the 15, you may try to dodge
[11:40:55] Lurana: [1d20+12] => [2,12] = (14)
[11:41:00] Chris (GM): You are hit
[11:41:04] Lurana: *Auto fail again)
[11:41:06] Chris (GM): [1d6*10] => 50
[11:41:25] Lurana: (I've been hit for 200 points?)
[11:41:26] Chris (GM): 210 total to you so far
[11:42:01] Chris (GM): Now it's your turn again, since his buddy bailed
[11:42:25] ** Lurana squeezes off a burst from the 100mm Destabilizer! **
[11:42:26] Lurana: [1d20+10] => [5,10] = (15)
[11:42:38] Lurana: (finally but i bet he makes the dodge)
[11:42:53] Lurana: (who wants to bet against me?)
[11:43:29] Oberoth: (( 20 credits on lurana ))
[11:43:31] Chris (GM): I have 20 to 1 against
[11:43:40] Chris (GM): [1d20+7] => [12,7] = (19)
[11:43:47] Chris (GM): You miss
[11:43:48] Lurana: (told you)
[11:44:07] Chris (GM): hey, these guys are like the uber bad guys, didn't think they'd be easy didja?
[11:44:37] Lurana: (no but i like having bets, oberoth owes me 20 creds if i live)
[11:44:42] Chris (GM): He turns and retreats down the hall as your squaddies turn to face him, but before they can fire, he's gone

[11:44:56] Chris (GM): Ober!!!! Yer up
[11:45:27] Oberoth: (( ok ))
[11:45:35] Chris (GM): The Inchon lands and disgorges it's security detail, you among it, at one of the predetermined extraction points nearby to Point K
[11:47:38] Chris (GM): You can see UEEF Destroids, the old kind, Monsters, Defenders and Phalanxes, part of the artillery batteries, still firing at Reflex Point, around them are hundreds of Cyclone troopers and Silverbacks, all beaten, wounded and nigh leaderless, and, as the dust settles start their sorrowful trudge of retreat up the gangways into the massive vessel
[11:48:11] Chris (GM): "Jesus, what a bunch of sad sacks" Drew comments.
[11:48:44] ** Lurana (last act) would get on the horn about new looking mecha and transmit it to any one **
[11:49:00] Oberoth: "that could be us buddy. count your blessings."
[11:49:16] Chris (GM): kk, fair enough, sadly, within the hive, all you get is your immediate squaddies, since you are being jammed
[11:49:33] Chris (GM): Drew nods within his mecha.
[11:51:59] Chris (GM): Over your radio you hear your marching orders. "All security forces, move out and secure us a mile perimeter, try not to stray to far, or else you wont be able to make it back in time when we lift off."
[11:53:39] Oberoth: "drew, let's get this over with." *moves out*
[11:56:33] Chris (GM): As you move out you move past forest, with trails marking the passage of heavy machinery carved through them and, as you move to your 'line' you pass the surviving remnants of the forest and now enter a moonscape of craters, smoldering, played out before you for miles, leading all the way of to the ominous looking hive complex in the distance. You can see explosions and blaster fire out there, indicators that fighting is still going on far afield
[11:57:30] Oberoth: (( sensor check ))
[11:57:33] Oberoth: [1d100] => [83] = (83)
[11:57:57] Sarah: (( ouch ))
[11:58:14] Chris (GM): All around you you see the dead and broken remains of UEEF Marines and Invid alike, and like a scene from Dante's 'Inferno' this scene is one of hell.
[11:58:54] Chris (GM): Due to the smoke and alien energies around, you see nothing on your scanners
[11:59:16] Chris (GM): Ahead of you you see movement, however, cresting a ridge
[11:59:42] Chris (GM): Drew raises his weapon, but holds his fire….
[11:59:44] Oberoth: *zoom in with optics*
[11:59:50] Chris (GM): roll it
[11:59:54] Chris (GM): nah, nm, I kid
[11:59:56] Oberoth: [1d100] => [17] = (17)
[12:00:20] Oberoth: got it anyway
[12:01:54] Chris (GM): You zoom in and you see a line of UEEF troops, a Silverback moving at a crawl with two stretchers with badly wounded troopers on the hood, flanked by some 10 cyclone riders in VR-052's all chewed up, their heads sagging, behind them, another 5 troopers grimly watching th rear. And (with your 17) you see the ominous shape of something crablike, not a scout, but bigger, skimming the deck…
[12:02:25] Chris (GM): approaching at high speed…
[12:03:06] Oberoth: "Base, we have an inbound targets and survivors"
[12:04:14] Chris (GM): You see it 'pop up' and roll over into a barrel roll, then nose down and let loose a burst of plasma fire at the Silverback, impacting in int he rear, blowing out the aft section pitching it forward tossing the stretcher borne troopers to the ground, one, crushed under the now upside down machine.
[12:04:47] Oberoth: (( how close? ))
[12:05:25] Chris (GM): The other troopers fire desperately at it, but it pulls up sharply and rolls as if to mock the dead. (About 6 miles out)
[12:06:26] Chris (GM): "Son of a bitch!" Drew cries out, and starts to move forward.
[12:07:31] Oberoth: "hold on drew, we were ordered to maintain the perimeter."
[12:08:03] Chris (GM): "We can't just let them get chewed up out there! They need help!" he continues on.
[12:09:12] Oberoth: *on comm to base* "request permission to engage the targets outside of the perimeter."
[12:10:49] Chris (GM): The immediate reply is "We still have 15 minutes till we HAVE to lift off, use your own discretion, we see your target, be advised, he has aid on his six, and we cannot back you up easily that far out…Good hunting!"
[12:11:25] Oberoth: "roger. Engaging."
[12:12:10] Chris (GM): As you move forward the enemy mecha allows himself to stall, and pulls a textbook Immelman turn and dives towards the scattering UEEF troops.
[12:12:23] Chris (GM): Init
[12:12:46] Oberoth: (( missiles in range? ))
[12:12:59] Oberoth: [1d20+2] => [18,2] = (20)
[12:13:11] Sarah: (( missile range s usually 5 miles or more ))
[12:13:18] Chris (GM): yes, but just barely
[12:13:28] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [7,4] = (11)
[12:13:35] Chris (GM): Enemy
[12:13:39] Chris (GM): [1d20+4] => [19,4] = (23)
[12:13:40] Chris (GM): Drew
[12:14:01] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [12] = (12)
[12:14:04] Chris (GM): Drew, closer, fires a spread of missiles at it. (4)
[12:14:09] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [14] = (14)
[12:14:40] Chris (GM): The enemy, however does something you NEVER seen an Invid do…It fires four missiles of it's own, defeating the volley.
[12:15:01] Chris (GM): Your attack..
[12:15:45] Oberoth: speed change max(flying) toward the mecha
[12:16:00] Chris (GM): As you approach it fires on Drew, 4 missiles
[12:16:03] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [13] = (13)
[12:16:21] Chris (GM): Drew, momentarily stopped responds in kind
[12:16:22] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [7] = (7)
[12:16:31] Chris (GM): But his missiles aren't able to intercept
[12:16:40] Chris (GM): [2d6*10*4] => 200
[12:16:57] Oberoth: "DREW!!!!"
[12:16:59] Chris (GM): And he is hit by all four, tossing him back onto his back, his mecha in tatters.
[12:17:11] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [55] = (55)
[12:17:29] Chris (GM): "Shit!!! All my electrical systems are out!!!!" he cries out

[12:18:42] Chris (GM): your missiles strike true as the enemy's missiles fail to meet their mark in ironic reversal

[12:19:40] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 30

[12:19:42] Oberoth: [2d6*10] => 110
[12:21:24] Chris (GM): The enemy mecha shrugs it off, and does something else you've never seen an Invid Mecha do, just before you think it will turn itself into a lawn dart, it TRANSFORMS and lands atop Drew, straddling him. It levels it;s arm cannons and fires into the cockpit area of your wingmans machine
[12:21:27] Chris (GM): [1d20] => [20] = (20)
[12:22:25] Chris (GM): [5d6+6*2*2] => [2,5,6,2,3,24] = (42)
[12:23:10] Chris (GM): Luckily the Bioroid is made of sterner stuff but, it is a forgone conclusion that Drew is well and truly out of the fight
[12:23:17] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [55] = (55)
[12:23:40] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [26] = (26)
[12:24:09] Chris (GM): Kicking the 'dead' mecha to the side, the enemy turns to you. (Your attack)
[12:25:20] Oberoth: Will attack with a tackle "YOU BASTARD!! AUUGGHGGH!!!!"
[12:26:02] Chris (GM): As you charge, you see blades spring forth from it's arms and it readies itself for you. Roll strike
[12:26:50] Oberoth: [1d20+4] => [18,4] = (22)
[12:27:08] Chris (GM): it will parry you out of the wy(or try to at least) with it's blades

[12:45:26] Sarah: (( ouch ))
[12:45:32] Oberoth: "Fucker, take that."
[12:46:13] Oberoth: *I go over to drews mech to see if I can get him out*
[12:46:40] Chris (GM): His mecha is toast, no way to fix it, but his pilots compartment seems more or less intact
[12:48:17] Oberoth: *on comm to base* have encountered heavy resistance from unknown mecha. we have a pilot down here and need assistance, over."
[12:48:49] Chris (GM): "Roger that. Be advise, you still have inbound tracks ETA 20 seconds! Look alive!"

[12:53:52] Chris (GM): either way those rolls are good enough, you side step frantically and manage to avoid getting hit
[12:53:54] Oberoth: yep
[12:54:31] Oberoth: (( are they the same kind of mecha? ))
[12:54:46] Chris (GM): You see two (immediate threat to you…) Shock troopers. But along the line you see dozens, walking in a line, looking as if they are mopping up resistance…
[12:55:29] Chris (GM): Overhead now you see more of those funky craft you just killed, some ten or so..
[12:55:57] Chris (GM): The line of shock troopers are walking slowly, methodically, as if they own the damn place….
[12:56:00] Oberoth: (( how much backup do I have there? ))
[12:56:22] Chris (GM): Lets see, it's you, and that squirrel behind that tree stump out there…

[12:59:25] Oberoth: *on comm to base* "we need artillery support at (insert coordinates). Over"
[12:59:50] Chris (GM): And the squirrel replies "Screw you buddy!" and scampers into a hole…
[01:00:11] Oberoth: (( lol ))
[01:00:49] Chris (GM): it takes a few agonizing second but you are connected into the Arty freq. "Battery G, have you done this before?"
[01:01:11] Oberoth: "yes"
[01:01:22] Chris (GM): "Roger that, call your grid!"
[01:02:11] Oberoth: *directing them to the '10 or more'*
[01:02:58] Oberoth: (( err dozen or so shock troops ))
[01:05:10] Chris (GM): Behind you… in a Block 4 HWR-00-Mk.III the commander receives your coordinates and feeds it to the gunner. "Ready fire full salvo, High Explosive! Spotting shot!" The gunner replies "Spotting shot loaded ready!" The Commander barks back. "Up! FIRE!" The gunner depresses his trigger "AWAY!" The mecha shudders ans all four barrels fire at the same time . Outside, four gargantuan gouts of flame ERUPT from the barrels sending a mini shock wave out, kicking up dust around the formidable machine as it sags back under the recoil. In the air, four 40cm projectiles sail through the air, and impact some 100 yards to the front and left of the enemy.
[01:07:17] Oberoth: *redirects artillery over radio*
[01:08:54] Chris (GM): "Roger that up 50 right 35! Ready fire!" The gunner parrots back the corrections. "UP!" and the commander replies "FIRE!" "AWAY!" the mecha shudders again and the round slam down right on top of the encroaching Shock troopers, on round passing right through the top of one, before exploding into the ground below, devastating the mecha.
[01:10:20] Oberoth: "direct hit!"
[01:10:47] Chris (GM): "Roger that! Fire Fire FIRE FOR EFFECT!"
[01:11:01] Oberoth: *turns his attention to the two shock troops nearest him*[01:12:26] Chris (GM): They have lifted off and are jetting forward now, to avoid getting pasted by artillery, Init please

[01:30:23] Chris (GM): You parry the melee strike as the Ranged attack misses by a wide margin
[01:30:37] Chris (GM): CLIFFHANGER-> Into the HIVE!

[01:31:01] Chris (GM): Sarah! yer up
[01:32:37] Chris (GM): As you and your erstwhile wingman penetrate (giggity) deeper into the hive you feel a sense of foreboding
[01:33:52] Chris (GM): You can hear and feel combat nearby, in one of the main trunk corridors…it seems by luck or design that you have entered the hive from what would by human standards be a 'service entrance'
[01:34:44] Chris (GM): It is 'painfully' obvious that your teammate has NO clue where she is going…but proceeds with confidence and determination nonetheless
[01:37:18] Chris (GM): Moving further you and her can feel some combat intensifying and as you look down a hall you see a Royal Command battloid with a pinkish coloration zoom past
[01:37:44] Chris (GM): The Alpha upon seeing this accelerates…
[01:37:55] Chris (GM): to intercept
[01:39:42] ** Sarah follows right along, frowning as she feels the intensifying combat and the Alpha chasing a battloid. She adjusts to follow, trying to sense her own way through as well. It's not easy, she's never been in the 'main' hive after all. **
[01:40:58] Chris (GM): As the alpha turns the corner with you in tow you see the battloid in combat with Shadow fighters of a different type you've never seen before, and by it's side, likewise fighting the UEEF mecha is a VR-041H cyclone in 10th Division regalia.
[01:41:13] Chris (GM): "What the…" You hear from the Alpha pilot.
[01:41:38] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot raises both arms, and prepares to fire at the back of the Battloid.
[01:41:56] Chris (GM): your action…
[01:42:32] ** Sarah frowns just a little bit, trying to get some sense of what's going on. She shakes her head a little bit as she watches, cocking her head slightly. "Do we fight both of them? Or…" **
[01:44:04] Chris (GM): The Alpha replies to that by firing both weapon at the battloids back
[01:44:29] Chris (GM): [1d20+10] => [6,10] = (16)
[01:44:29] Chris (GM): [1d20+10] => [11,10] = (21)
[01:45:03] Chris (GM): [2d20*10+30] => 180
[01:45:27] Chris (GM): [1d6*10] => 40
[01:46:10] Chris (GM): Pitching it forward. The Saber cyclone reacts and maneuvers to PROTECT the Invid mecha!!
[01:46:56] Chris (GM): "Hold your fire!!" you hear the Saber pilot yell.
[01:47:28] Chris (GM): "You don't understand!" He adds…
[01:47:55] Chris (GM): One gun arm turns from the Battloid to point at the Saber but the Alpha pilot hold her fire…
[01:48:26] ** Sarah cocks her head just a little bit. "Exactly what is it that we don't understand?" She peers down at the Cyclone, frowning. **
[01:48:54] Chris (GM): "We're trying to end the WAR!!! Can't you see?!"
[01:49:29] Chris (GM): "All I see is a person in UEEF mecha firing on friendly targets." The Alpha pilot snarls.
[01:49:59] Sarah: "So are we, just through obviously different means, with a different outcome in mind."
[01:50:35] Chris (GM): "He is!" Comes a female voice from the Battloid as it regains it's footing. "We are trying to buy time for the Regess to ascend! The children of the Shadow are HERE!"
[01:51:40] Chris (GM): In Sarah's mind you hear… "Sister! You must see the truth of this! I don't know why you are here, but you are, and you have to believe me!"
[01:52:29] Chris (GM): Meanwhile the Alpha pilot has coldly and efficiently positioned herself so that her next attack, if it is to come will be devastating…
[01:53:47] Chris (GM): "Children of the what?" the Alpha pilot says.
[01:54:07] ** Sarah 's eyes narrow and she twitches slightly, responding mind to mind as well. "I noticed their little garbage cans, actually. Something even worse on the way? I noticed they were evacuating a lot of troops earlier…" She frowns suddenly. "I've been with these guys though, why are they starting to use that stuff now? They're not like that." **
[01:55:54] Chris (GM): In your mind you hear "I do not know either, but mother sees the taint of the Shadows on the humans! She seeks to leave! But your machines, they are full of the same taint! We are next to defenseless against them, if they reach her, all may be lost and our people will parish!"
[01:57:06] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot, having heard none of this steps forward and places one gun barrel to teh pilots compartment of the Battloid and one pointed square at the head of the Cyclone. "You will point us to the Regess, or I will pull these triggers. Have I made myself perfectly clear?"
[01:58:41] Chris (GM): The cyclone pilot flips his visor up, he is a handsome if not slightly effeminate man. "You have to believe us, The Invid Regess seeks to leave, we are only trying to buy her time."
[01:59:34] Chris (GM): Your action…
[02:00:13] ** Sarah responds in kind again. "The ones I started today with didn't have that taint. Before one got blown to shreds and the other got melted clean off along with part of the armor underneath as insult to injury. I don't particularly like being in it either. The insanities just keep on mounting today…" She sighs. "All I've actually done in this thing was defend myself from getting another pane shot out right from underneath me." **
[02:01:31] Chris (GM): "And what will you do now sister? Allow your 'friend' here to kill us? Or will you see the truth of the matter and do what is right! Do what is best for your people? Or, will you forsake us?"
[02:04:31] Chris (GM): To the Alpha pilot the cyclone rider states. "Fine! you want to see the Regess? Fine!" The Battloid pilot shrieks "Lancer NO!" Lancer sighs, "If they want to seek her out, why not let them, it's not as if they could do anything to her." The battloid pilot shakes her head "But they carry the taint of the shadow on them!"
[02:06:38] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot takes a step to the left, guns still trained. "My mission is to find the Regess, not to tie myself up with traitors…" The comment directed clearly at the cyclone rider. "I give you my word as a warrior that you may go if you point the way to you…leader." The word leader is said in a manner as if a curse.
[02:10:11] Sarah: "I'm rather surprised that you think I haven't already. But for what it's worth before we all get blasted one way or another anyways, I'm sorry. If we can keep the yapping going on much longer though, without giving it away we're doing it…" She hmms a bit in her cockpit, glancing over towards the Alpha slightly, but responding to her sister mentally. "She's the problem, anyway, not me. I'm not waving weapons to push the issue."
[02:12:01] Chris (GM): In your mind you hear a scornful reply "So you do forsake us! And in our hour f need you do nothing! Fine!!! Seek the all mother out! And you can beg forgiveness from her, for you shall have none of it from me!"
[02:12:09] Sarah: "Oh, and you could give her a fake direction, realize."
[02:13:41] Chris (GM): In plain voice the Battloid pilot says "Go then, that way!" she points. "That is the way to the Regess, the All Mother, the giver of life! You will will see your doom in her presence!"
[02:14:47] Chris (GM): True to her word, the Alpha pilot lifts her weapons and turns towards the direction pointed out by the Battloid pilot. To you she says "Okay civvie, on me!" and she moves out in Gerwalk mode.
[02:15:52] ** Sarah shoots off one last idea mentally. "I'm not forsaking anything after all, really. I was just trying to figure out some way to keep the situation from exploding in any fashion, for anyone. It just came to me then. Should have thought of it five minutes ago, sorry." **
[02:17:18] Chris (GM): In your mind you hear…"You must seek your path sister, and I mine. You will be in the presence of the Regess soon. You can hide nothing from her."
[02:19:23] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot moves forward and you and her both cross into a black abyss criss crossed with energy, there is no discernible up or down, left or right, but in moments you are, devoid of your mecha, and your wingman of hers, in the presence of the Regess!
[02:23:15] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot is noticeably stunned, and with a warriors calculus understands rather quickly that she, in her CVR-3F and no side arms save a knife and Gallant, is no match for the glowing 40 toot tall Queen of the Invid…
[02:26:28] ** Sarah then watches the Alpha pilot zip off, rolling her eyes just a little, and just sighs very softly at the response, sending back to Sera "Gee, and here I was trying to keep this from getting out of hand further. I'm just trying to protect the lives of this planet's people. I never claim to have a right answer, or even /any/ answer." She just shrugs then, peeling out of of her armor idly and glances to the pilot. "Maybe you should have actually listened when the Cyclone guy told you not to come here." **
[02:27:53] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot turn to you with a slight sneer. "I'm a soldier, and I have a duty to perform." Then looking back up at the monolithic Regess says. "of course, this wasn't in the briefing…"
[02:30:59] Chris (GM): In a booming echoing voice the Regess speaks. "Who are you that disturbs me?" clearly directed at the pilot. To you she says aloud, but without moving her lips. "Young Seren, daughter. What do you seek in my presence? Absolution? Vengeance? Or do you seek the truth?
[02:36:37] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot, proud yet respectful, bows (yes bows) to the Regess according to her Nihon tradition. " I am Ishida Suki. Lieutenant First Class in the UEEF. I have been tasked with your defeat." She looks about slightly. "However that seems unlikely. Given the circumstances."
[02:37:18] ** Sarah pffts at the pilot. "No, really? I'm so surprised… Obviously being on Earth longer provides a better perspective of some of the situation." She looks up to the Regess then as she's spoken to. "Truth would be nice. Too many problems from too many misunderstandings, and people too stubborn to listen without having reality smack them in the face." She looks pointedly at Alpha pilot again at that, before looking back. "I'm fairly certain their recent choices in friends and equipment are part of the same issue, sadly." **
[02:37:21] Chris (GM): Then looking at you. "Daughter?"
[02:38:58] Chris (GM): The Alpha pilot looks at you. "Just what are you implying here?"
[02:42:08] Chris (GM): The pilot shakes her head, and sighs. Resigning herself to her task, and it's inevitable outcome.
[02:43:43] Chris (GM): The Regess looks to you. The truth is simple Seren, life here as we know it is no longer conducive to our needs. The children of the Shadow are upon us…" She motions to a holographic display in which you see a flotilla of Neutron-S missiles.
[02:49:57] ** Sarah glances over. "That a lot of people are obtuse. It seems fairly universal lately as well, to some degree." She glances up as the Regess speaks, and just stares at the missiles, shaking her head a bit. "It's a by-product, not them directly. People going into space without a whole lot of a clue relatively outside of doctored records and pre-programmed Zentraedi as a guide. Being nice to them earns their trust, and allows for the the intentions of the Shadows to play off it. Had we approached in a different manner, they might have trusted and even liked us. Since in all honesty, we're closer to where they've been stuck in terms of all of it. Exactly on the wrong end of the deal. Where, sadly, it seems everyone is again." **
[02:50:34] Chris (GM): The alpha pilot notes the monitor with a sad expression and bites her lip. "I wish it didn't have to come to this."
[02:54:29] Chris (GM): The Regess looks at the both of you. "You are young. new to this universe, ignorance is only to be expected. You cannot begin to fathom the infinities of the universe. As I have told your sisters before you young Seren, the humans do not know with whom they consort. This is not their doing. Our ancient enemy has manipulated them. And, they will soon see the truth of this."
[02:54:29] ** Sarah sighs and shakes her head. "These people are as much intentionally in league with the shadows as that 15 year old kid I got yelled at for not shooting was a 'resistance member' simply because he picked up a Cyclone and tried riding it around. If they knew the truth, they'd never let those weapons anywhere near here." **
[02:56:11] Chris (GM): "Calm yourself daughter, you to quickly adopt the emotion of lesser beings. This one, whom you have brought into my presence is of a calm mind, resolute in my demise although she knows that she could never bring it about.
[02:57:16] Chris (GM): "I will leave this world, and with it I take all that is ours. You may accompany us on our journey. The choice is yours."
[02:58:33] Chris (GM): The alpha pilot Suki breathes deeply, acknowledging the truth of the all mothers words.
[02:59:45] ** Sarah shakes her head a little bit. "I won't say all of them are perfect, but if they can be taught to understand more, they are worth saving as a whole. I can do best here, trying to keep them safe from each other and whoever else, until they do learn it." **
[03:01:51] Chris (GM): "Then your fate is bound to them, and you to her." She points from you to the alpha pilot. Your sisters understand this, and they to have chosen to remain behind. Yours will be a harsh road, one fraught with misery, danger, and hardship. But I see you meet it with open eyes. I only hope you can meet it with open heart.

[03:04:02] Chris (GM): Aboard the UES Liberator: "Sir, T-Minus 15 seconds for first stage separation! All systems green!" General Reinhardt sinks into his seat. "May god have mercy on us all."

[03:04:53] ** Sarah smiles just a bit. "I try to, certainly. The other things are just a part of life. Living among them as one of them for two years has taught me that well. Have a good journey, Mother. I hope our people do well, wherever you take them." **
[03:08:09] Chris (GM): The Regess nods. "Young human, you are wise not to agress me, and it is that wisdom that spares you this day. Know this, I take with me what is rightfully ours. You will see pain, and anguish. But, you are resilient, you will persevere. This is my gift to you!" With that she glows brightly, forming into pure light. Both you and your pilot companion must shield your eyes despite the polarization of the CVR-3.
[03:08:50] ** Sarah closes her eyes and shields them, since she took her armor off. **
[03:09:24] Chris (GM): (Well you are IN it again, SUCH IS THE POWER OF THE REGESS!) OBEY!
[03:09:41] Sarah: (( lol ))
[03:10:25] Chris (GM): The room sis bathed in bright yellow light and in an instant you are within your mecha, suspended some 500 feet off the ground as the entirety of Reflex Point vanishes!
[03:10:36] Chris (GM): Roll piloting
[03:10:39] Chris (GM): -20%
[03:10:46] Chris (GM): [1d100-20] => [76,-20] = (56)
[03:10:51] Chris (GM): For Suki
[03:11:01] Chris (GM): rather plus 20 oops
[03:11:15] Sarah: [1d100] => [33] = (33)
[03:11:42] Chris (GM): Suki's mecha falls like a stone…while you, more aware of the Regess' vagaries, are able to engage your thrusters to arrest your fall
[03:11:51] Sarah: (( +20, 53 ))
[03:11:58] Sarah: (( outta 71 ))
[03:12:15] Chris (GM): yeah Suki got the ole 96
[03:13:05] Chris (GM): Her mecha flays and impacts the damp earth below, mercifully covered in some 30 feet of water which is now cascading in at a prodigious rate on three sides
[03:13:48] ** Sarah swears very softly, flying down and switching to Battloid, trying to fish the Alpha out and make certain the pilot is okay, checking for water leaks and such. **
[03:14:27] Chris (GM): As you reach the Alpha the water is not some 50 feet above your head and rising rapidly
[03:14:55] Chris (GM): [1d4*10+5] => 15
[03:15:08] Chris (GM): Suki has taken 15 pernt o physical damage
[03:15:17] Chris (GM): lucky bitch
[03:15:20] ** Sarah switches the foot thrusters on in her big Beta, trying to pull the Alpha up. **
[03:15:27] Chris (GM): roll piloting
[03:15:32] Sarah: [1d100] => [52] = (52)
[03:16:54] Chris (GM): As this transpires, outside, locked in mortal combat against two Invid Shock troopers John is about to take another swing when, the Invid he is fighting step back, look upwards and start to glow. Ina blinding flash they disappear, and rise into the air as two thin tendrils of energy…
[03:17:19] Chris (GM): You are able to wrest the Alpha from the sediment and pull it upwards
[03:17:23] Chris (GM): [1d100] => [7] = (7)
[03:18:06] Chris (GM): With a roll of a seven, Suki is able to continue up under hew own power and breach the surface and switches to gerwalk mode, raising in altitude slowly
[03:18:59] ** Sarah flies the Beta up behind, switching it to its own gerwalk mode, and maneuvering to stationkeeping range of the Alpha. **
[03:19:26] Chris (GM): In space the blinding Invid Phoenix erupts from the earth's atmosphere and intersecting with the Neutron-S missiles, disintegrate them as a parting gift to a humanity which loathed them…
[03:20:20] Chris (GM): In dry tones Suki says "Hold steady for link up…"
[03:21:08] Chris (GM): John watches, transfixed as the whole of reflex point and all the hives int eh Great Lakes areas turn to bright yellow light and rise into space…
[03:21:25] ** Sarah nods quickly and adjusts for linkup. "Acknowledged, holding steady station for linkup." **
[03:22:38] Chris (GM): The Alpha backs into it's connecting plate and you feel the slide mechanism pull the Alpha back, you here a clunk clunk clunk and Suki says "We have capture, talk back is barber pole.
[03:24:25] Chris (GM): Over your comm systems you (all) hear. "All unit recover to your current location, report in your status and await relief"
[03:25:11] Oberoth: *on comm* "the Invid…have disappeared"
[03:25:24] Chris (GM): Above in space, the remnants of the UEEF Fleet begin to move into Low earth orbit as Horizon-V drops hips and Garfish cruisers begin to descend to the surface to consolidate their hold
[03:25:57] ** Sarah nods quickly. "Control is yours, Lt." She pretty well relaxes in the back cockpit, and tries to extend the link out far enough to find Sera, simply saying. "Again, not forsaken anything. Just a little scatterbrained and not always quick with a great idea." **
[03:26:05] Chris (GM): "Roger that, holy shit, yeah, they're gone, all of em!" You hear
[03:27:20] Chris (GM): In Sarah's head she hears…"Mother was right, death is not what we seek."
[03:27:32] Oberoth: *heads to Drew's mech to bail him out*
[03:28:25] Chris (GM): As you approach Drew's mecha, you have a hard time getting him out, in a few minutes however a pair of VR-041M medical cyclone show up and carve him free.
[03:28:58] Oberoth: (( yay ))
[03:29:32] Chris (GM): he's pretty beat up, and has suffered form some pretty nasty battering but the docs say he should be fine with a few weeks of bed rest
[03:29:46] ** Sarah just smiles. "Never said she was wrong. On that point at least. Life's just weird and crazy. Living with the resistance for two years has just made more in tune with the basic din of the insanity." **
[03:30:41] Chris (GM): Suki pilots the Alpha to a nearby embankment such that she wont be in water, then shifting the beta;s legs out lands the mecha and pops her hatch,
[03:31:07] Chris (GM): Sera gives Sarah a mental 'nod'
[03:31:44] Chris (GM): Nearby the rest of the surviving assault team has landed on solid ground.
[03:32:54] Chris (GM): Suki walks along the back of the Alpha to the nestled cockpit of the Beta and stands there, waiting for Sarah to exit.
[03:33:42] Chris (GM): It takes about 15 or so minutes but John is relieved and sent back to the Inchon for debrief…
[03:33:53] ** Sarah laughs just a little mentally at the lack of response. "I'll bug off now. The resistance leader I was with figured out to just clamp a hand over my mouth if I talked too much. Guess I still need someone to do it." With that, she climbs out of the Beta and hops down, peeling off her armor and dropping her Gallant at Suki's feet. "I'm sure you're wanting that, considering." **
[03:34:40] Chris (GM): Suki looks at the Gallant then at Sarah. "Pick that up."
[03:35:13] ** Sarah blinks and picks it up."Yes, ma'am…" **
[03:35:43] Chris (GM): Suki then extends her hand. "I am Ishida Suki."
[03:36:17] Chris (GM): As john reaches the Inchon he can see Drew being moved inside to medical quarters ona stretcher.
[03:37:27] Oberoth: *goes to his side*
[03:37:57] Chris (GM): Drew: "Dang buddy, ever see anything like that? What a trip!"
[03:38:21] Oberoth: "we did it buddy…their gone. ran like kids from the boogie man"
[03:38:39] Chris (GM): Drew laughs, "us and our bad selves!"
[03:39:43] ** Sarah smiles, taking the hand. "Sarah Amdahl. I haven't really been Seren in nearly two years. I'm surprised I was still able to answer to it." She glances around a little then, to see what everyone else is doing. **
[03:39:52] Oberoth: "I gotta go shower, but I'll see you later"
[03:40:27] Chris (GM): Drew: "You better, and yeah, good idea…You stink!" he laughs as he is carted off to the infirmary
