[07:43:06] Chris (GM): Around you, in the hastily constructed airfields tarmac you and a few other resistance pilots are with the UEEF flying unit you have been embedded into

[07:45:49] ** Sarah walks around her Beta for the full preflight, nodding quickly and making sure everything is in order before launch. **
[07:46:03] Chris (GM): The marine captain is going over , for the 14th time, the mission roster, and you hear your name come up, and just like the 13 times before you hear your assignment, 'Air cover for the 3rd Divisions lead units, after you have hit your primary targets of a sensor tower and antiaircraft battery.
[07:46:48] Chris (GM): Your wingman, a UEEF Marine in an Alpha, will cover your approach and back you up once your CAP duties begin.
[07:47:36] Chris (GM): Captain: "All right ladies! You know your mission. We're wheels up in 5, good hunting!"
[07:48:50] Chris (GM): On your way to your aircraft your Wingman, whose aircraft is closer tosses you a thumbs up and a sideways smile. "See you in the air civvie!"
[07:49:23] ** Sarah almost smirks at that, laughing very softly and glancing to the Marine, nodding a little bit. "Yep. I'm ready." **

[07:51:10] Chris (GM): As you conduct your start up you hear over the radio. "All craft, you are clear for launch, follow your launch order, the tower reads that off and you note that your flight is the second slated to lift off
[07:53:13] Chris (GM): As the first flight lifts off you see the launch plumes of Invid Clamships rise into the sky one after an other..
[07:54:08] Chris (GM): You stop counting after thirty as you hear "Second Flight you are clear for launch, head bearing 330 angles 2 and proceed to your IP"
[07:54:24] ** Sarah climbs into her Beta and powers it up, checking fuel levels and all that, ready for the big launch into the fray. She glances around quickly, and promptly sighs as she sees clamships rising into the skies, realizing how ugly it's going to get. As she's launch cleared, she adjusts, and launches. "Acknowledged." **
[07:58:20] Chris (GM): Within minutes you and your wingman are screaming over the forest canopy. Coming up on the Assaults rear lines you zip past an artillery battery of 4 MAC-II. The MAC-II's have already begun their bombardment and you can see shell casings littered around their feet as the bursts of flame from their cannons have already set some of the nearby treetops ablaze. Further on you see the ground forces in full advance. A few wave to you as you fly over. Your wingman doing a slight wing waggle in response.
[08:00:18] Chris (GM): Ahead of you more Clamships head for orbit, and one, takes a pair of Artillery round to its left side tearing the hatch overing from it's housing and spinning the ship on it its axis spilling debris and Invid Scouts from the breach before it flips over backwards and careens into the forest, exploding.

[08:01:50] ** Sarah adjusts and waggles towards the ground forces, frowning as she watches the clamship spill scouts. She holds onto her stick a little more tightly, and gets ready for the inevitable, watching for the sensor tower and AA battery. She nods as her wingman shouts out, adjusting flight heading promptly and efficiently. **
[08:03:59] Chris (GM): Your new heading takes you over Lake Superior and your wing man calls out "Gypsy 22 Feet wet, IP locked." To you he adds "target 15 kicks out, I'll cover you, drop those eggs sweet!"
[08:04:32] ** Sarah nods quickly and adjusts. "Acknowledged, on target and ready for bomb delivery." **
[08:04:39] Chris (GM): Ahead of you, you see the Air Defenses of Reflex Point open up filling the air with flak bursts and laser fire so thick you feel as if your could walk upon it.
[08:06:40] ** Sarah swears very softly as she sees all the flak, watching for her target and trying to check the bomb sight quickly. **
[08:06:42] Chris (GM): You see your target loom in the distance, a sensor tower, looking like some grotesque plant blooming from a rocky outcropping on the far bank. PERC

[08:15:23] ** Sarah pushes forward as ordered, trying to get to the tower, watchful for any scouts or troopers who might want to start firing at her. **

(You also note that gun ports on the Tower have opened up and guns are sliding out into firing positions)
[08:23:20] ** Sarah swears quickly, checking her bomb sight and nodding, getting ready., As soon as she thinks she's on course, she starts dropping the bombs, promptly. **

[08:44:39] Chris (GM): As you fly past your are buffeted by the shockwaves and chancing a glance in your 'rearview camera' you see the tower still standing up right and you fear the worst, but slowly, as if in slow motion the tower wavers to the left, and you see the chitinous structure begin to splinter and flake as the 'stalk' of the tower buckles some 20 feet off the ground spilling the tower over into the lake. A second passes and dull WHUMP! and a tremendous gout of water erupts
[08:45:25] ** Sarah phews slightly at that and glances up again. "Target neutralized. On to target two?" **
[08:45:40] Chris (GM): A smaller gout of water erupts further away, tell tale evidence of your wing mans success against the last Shock Trooper.

[08:46:31] Chris (GM): “Attention! Attention! All pilots to Shadow fighters; Combat Alert!” Alarms klaxons sound throughout the ship you are on calling for combat alert. This is the day you have been waiting for, the day you’ve been trained for: The attack on Reflex Point has begun! Suited up, you and dozens of pilots like you hustle to your waiting Alpha’s and in turn launch to join the armada.
[08:46:54] Chris (GM): All around you the ships of the UEEF move inexorably closer to earth, the gleaming tell tales of light play off the husks within the debris ring; stark reminder that failure comes with a steep price. “All right nuggets, listen up!” The voice of your Squadron Commander breaks the tension. “Keep your formation tight and watch each other’s asses out there, this is it, the big show. Time for payback! Remember the 21st!!”
[08:47:26] Chris (GM): Over the net you can hear radio cross chatter. “Green Squadron, tighten it up…” “Skulls in position…” “Time to kick some slug ass!” A few tense minutes later, from over the command channel… “Attention all units. Invid attack craft have lifted off from the surface; approaching from sector Three Two Niner! ETA 5 minutes, you are cleared hot! Good hunting!”
[08:47:57] Chris (GM): As you arm your weapons you see a section of Assault Shuttles with Garfish escort start to swing low and away from the rest of the armada, their UEMC markings evident on their hulls. Bright flashes divert your attention as the UES Liberator, Reinhardt’s command ship, and her Shimikaze escorts open fire with their Synchro Cannons.
[08:48:19] Chris (GM): Explosions ‘beneath’ you erupt as the continuous barrage of Synchro fire begin to find their mark, but for every vaporized Invid ship, three more take their place as they close at flank speed towards you, confidant, after the destruction of the 10th and 21st Mars Divisions at their hands, that the 101st Reclamation Fleet will fare no better.
[08:48:43] Chris (GM): “All craft engage Shadow Devices! Proceed to attack coordinates!” In moments the entire fleet has cloaked themselves from the all seeing Protoculture sensors of the Invid. “Invid deploying at Q Vector Theta!” Comes the command update as you watch dozens of Invid Shell-Dor clamships in triangle formation open their bay doors.
[08:49:13] Chris (GM): Hundreds if not thousands of Invid fighter craft swarm from their mother ships, turning the space before you crimson, such are their numbers. “Attack Division 12! Move to intercept!” You swallow hard as training and instinct kick in as you push forward on the accelerator. You’re up! Time to make them pay!
[08:50:11] Chris (GM): You've never seen so many enemy ships before, not even in the sims with your instructors setting you on hard mode!
[08:51:17] Chris (GM): Your combat computer begins the easy task of locking up the enemy, in this target rich environment, locating an enemy will be the least of your worries.
[08:52:28] ** Lurana was already at the flight deck waiting for those words she drops into her alpha and begins launch sequence typing up her on board weapons checking their payload and launches finally moving to join her flight squad.* **

[12:18:30] Chris (GM): "Roger that ma'am" he says Over your intercom you hear your wingman. "I'll have to head back onto CAP. Good hunting civvie!" he salutes in battloid mode then thrusting up into the air, transforms and takes up station over head.

"Gypsy, Fox and Lightning Squadrons, we're getting cut to ribbons here, to many of those damn clam ships are getting their troops out. You need to drop altitude and start picking them off before they can deploy!"
