• Bio: Captain Reinard is a veteran of the First Robotech War, beginning her career as an enlisted systems operator aboard the fabled SDF-1. After Dr. Emil Langs breakthrough that created the Pin Point Barrier she was one of the original three operators of that system. Surviving the destruction of the SDF-1 and 2 she transferred to New Macross City and rose through the ranks, first as a sysop, then as an Instructor at the Academy. She is widely regard has having written the book on Pin Point Barrier operations. Choosing to join the Pioneer Mission she left Earth and rose in rank and realized her command potential, being posted as executive officer to the UES Meridian prior to her current billet as Captain of the UES Yukikaze.

• Bio: Commander Tekeda began his career in the UEG after his enlistment in 2015. A native of Japan, he and his family has survived the Zentraedi Rain of Death by taking shelter in the subway systems of Osaka. Pursuing a command track from the get go Hiroshi distinguished himself well as a midshipman. Determined to make a difference he joined the Pioneer Mission and left Earth as a newly minted bridge officer aboard the UES Cutlass. His professionalism and courage under fire during the Optera Campaign catapulted his career and brought him to the attention of Captain Rienard, who, with a minimal of coaxing, persuaded him to become her new XO.

• Bio: Lynn Minmei is a household name; known throughout Human, Zentraedi and Tirolian culture as the ‘Girl who won a War with a Song.' From pop sensation to Diplomatic attaché to the UEEF aboard the Pioneer Mission, she has reinvented herself as the times and her circumstances dictate. Even her abduction at the hands of T.R. Edwards hasn’t unduly phased her relentless and resilient attitude. No longer the bratty teenager of the past, she is a strong, dedicated woman who is far sharper and intelligent than her critics and rivals would like to believe. Her appointment to the post of Ambassador Plenipotentiary has taken her aback slightly, but, she accepts the post with humility and, recalling her days aboard the SDF-1 and the melancholy she helped the crew and citizens alike to overcome, she hopes to perform the same miracle for the UEEF and the Coalition of Free Peoples.

DESRON 14 Commander: Thaddeus Wilder

• Bio: ‘Thundering’ Thaddeus Wilder started his military career in 1994 graduating from Annapolis at the top of his class. Serving his ‘Middy’ tour aboard the USS Ronald Reagan he took to life afloat with relish and ease. However he did not feel his true calling until 1996, when he transferred aboard the USS Mahan, newest of the Arleigh Burke class that his love affair with Destroyer's was cemented. It was aboard this ship that he saw his first naval ‘knife fights’ as the Global Civil War began to heat up. With the arrival of the SDF-1 everything changed, and he was transferred in 2002 to Vandenberg AFB to learn about a new kind of Destroyer, the Oberth Class DDSG. Since then Wilder has moved with the pace of technology, much he helped to develop and test, from the Oberth to the Battle, and finally, the Shimikaze Class, which he contends is ‘probably the most lethal class of ship to be built by man.’ His preferred stratagem in combat is ‘Attack Attack Attack!’ To never let up and never allow the enemy time to recover from his initial assault. His critics, which are legion, decry this as bravado and foolhardy, but Wilder knows full well that combat in space is chaotic, and he who controls that chaos, wins.

Phoenix Battle Group Commander: Edward Shelly

• Bio: Edward Shelly is a complex man, he is a devoted member of the UEEF, and believes in their mission. Joining the service a year before the arrival of the SDF-1 he, unlike some of his contemporaries, took the slow and methodical track. After his ‘Middy’ tour and required afloat ‘cruise’ he was transferred to Diego Garcia on the cusp of the Zentraedi Rain of Death. Enroute over the ocean his aircraft managed to survive the bombardment, which was concentrated on land targets. His steady demeanor and leadership during the Reconstruction brought him to the attention of the UEEF who petitioned him to join the Pioneer Mission. By his recollection, agreeing to the posting was the largest career risk he ever took. While not an aggressive go getter like many others, he was placed in charge of defensive fleets, where his methodical nature was an asset, rather than a liability. Some have compared him to General George McClellan, meticulous, and almost careful to a fault.
