The events around the base camp deal more with repairing the damage to Camp Gilligan, (the hooch village created shorty after landing so that the crew doesn't have to stay cooped up on the ship all the time.) and dealing in trade etc. with the local island natives.
A contingent of Trow Edge Guard have settled in and watch over the downed remains of their patrol cutter while a few ships of the Trow maintain geostationary orbit over the site.
Locally, off island, the modern nations of Mareel have , now that their upper leadership within their clergy have …disappeared… have begun to send expeditions towards the island. This concerns all parties because of the state of conflict between the nation states, the fear being that this will spill over onto the island with disastrous consequences to the islanders. As the ships of other nations draw closer, covert measures to deter them are being considered.
