BEGIN LOG
[07:51:01] GM: Suki and Jaron, you are approached by the SgtMaj of the 22nd MEU (Major Kavashera's unit, based on the Yuki) and are told in his own unique way that the 'Old Man' wants to see you.
[07:53:05] Lt. Jaron quirks a brow and looks to Suki. The nods "Very well." and motions for Suki to follow first.
[07:55:32] Lt. Jaron: (umm just checking connection)
[07:55:45] GM: Yeah, wait one
[07:58:35] GM: Suki shrugs and follows the SgtMaj, who points to the door and a bench nearby, indicating for you to sit.
[07:59:37] Lt. Jaron does so
[08:00:37] GM: Inside you can hear voices, the major, and Lt. Fallnya
[08:01:17] GM: After some time you hear the Major call to his SgtMaj and he has you sent in
[08:01:22] GM: perc rolls
[08:01:28] Anthony: ( afk- for a second)
[08:02:08] Lt. Jaron: [1d20+2] => [18,2] = (20)
[08:02:16] 2 LT Gamjin: [1d20] => [17] = (17)
[08:02:27] GM: just the three int he room
[08:02:30] Jess: (i think he meant for jaron and Suki only)
[08:02:37] GM: sorry, should have been more clear
[08:03:14] GM: Jaron, you see two small boxes, and paperwork that you recognize to be transfer forms.
[08:03:45] GM: Lurana is inside, standing at parade rest in front of the desk
[08:04:08] Maj. Kavashera: Lt's Ishida and Fairman, report.
[08:04:57] Lt. Ishida salutes and follows her reporting procedures.
[08:04:58] Lt. Jaron gets up and files inside; soon standing at attention
[08:05:11] Lt. Jaron salutes as well
[08:06:12] Maj. Kavashera: At ease.
[08:06:17] Lt. Jaron does so
[08:06:21] Maj. Kavashera rubs the bridge of his nose
[08:06:35] Jess remains at parade rest rather than going to at ease
[08:08:10] Maj. Kavashera: First off, Lurana, you will retain command. But, your reservations about this give me pause.
[08:08:46] No match found
[08:09:40] Lt. Fallnya waits to be told to speak
[08:10:25] Maj. Kavashera: Second, your troop, is going to be reassigned, I have her paperwork here, all it needs is you and your chosen XO's signature, the reason I have called Ishida and Fairman in here is because while you have tacitly chosen an XO, I need from you an official appointment.
[08:11:34] Lt. Fallnya: "That would be Ishida sir, Shes been my XO since I've gotten the Command Assignment."
[08:11:52] Maj. Kavashera: Very well.
[08:12:19] Anthony: ( back'
[08:12:22] Lt. Fallnya: "And Lt. Jaron is my safety officer."
[08:12:27] Maj. Kavashera: Third, Fairman and Ishida, both of your security clearances are being upgraded
[08:13:00] Maj. Kavashera: Fallnya, you will do well to listen to what they have to say with the information they will have access to.
[08:13:42] Maj. Kavashera motions towards the seats in his office.
[08:13:42] Maj. Kavashera: Sit
[08:13:52] Lt. Fallnya Settles down
[08:14:05] Lt. Fallnya staying proper at a parade rest seated position
[08:14:35] Lt. Ishida sits
[08:15:14] Lt. Jaron sits as well
[08:15:59] Maj. Kavashera: Okay, thats the official crap out of the way, so, whats going on?
[08:16:19] Lt. Fallnya: "As in the incident sir?"
[08:16:29] Maj. Kavashera: That yes,
[08:17:44] Lt. Fallnya: "Suki as purview of being XO called a surprise squadron meeting at the local strip club on the Phoenix how ever we were down 1 member the young… and ultimately naive pink haired brat you got to meet just a few ago…"
[08:18:00] Maj. Kavashera nods
[08:18:11] Maj. Kavashera: Brigette's yes, good hot wings…
[08:19:53] Lt. Fallnya: "This of course even tho she had off-duty and day pass papers superseded those and when she didn't show for the meeting we went to find her found her at the campus about to get it on with a local….Tramp if i may sir. We also have on film that she lied to the Robot Vid phone when it came to seek her out about our call."
[08:20:33] Maj. Kavashera: But I'm not interested in the particulars, I have all that in your reports. What I am interested in is, how is this affecting unit moral, and waht steps have you taken, and will take to maintain unit cohesion?
[08:21:29] Lt. Fallnya: "Unfortunately sir the only option i see to maintain unit cohesion is to have her removed and my self removed of command, Due to my involvement of shielding her from my XO till now."
[08:23:33] Maj. Kavashera: is this a fair assessment Ishida?
[08:23:42] Lt. Jaron listens intently
[08:23:46] Lt. Ishida shifts uneasily in her seat.
[08:25:29] Lt. Ishida : I agree with the removal of Lt. Alleria. As to her being shielded, I should have resorted to more strict measures of ensuring discipline.
[08:26:07] Maj. Kavashera: And will you refrain from this in the future?
[08:26:09] Lt. Fallnya: "By the way sir isnt she also going to be Demoted?"
[08:26:18] Lt. Ishida : No sir.
[08:26:40] Maj. Kavashera: Tahts up to the review board Lt.
[08:26:46] Maj. Kavashera looks over to Ishida
[08:28:02] Maj. Kavashera: Good, we are at war, if you need to crack heads to maintain order then you do it. It is my feeling that had you beaten her to a pulp early on, that this grievous infraction might have been averted.
[08:28:27] Maj. Kavashera: This goes for you two as well.
[08:28:34] Maj. Kavashera looks at Fallnya and Fairman
[08:28:51] Lt. Fallnya nods "I shouldn't have let her youth get the better of me sir i shall not in the future."
[08:28:56] Lt. Jaron nods
[08:29:54] Maj. Kavashera: Very well, sign these forms and then return to your unit, I hear you have final for Phase 1 in a week, I expect you to pass, brilliantly.
[08:30:30] Lt. Fallnya: "Sir if i may inquire about the plan i brought up to you earlier before discussing Alleria's transfer?"
[08:30:36] Lt. Fallnya signs the forms while asking
[08:32:11] Maj. Kavashera: Yes, I approve of it, and between you and I think it's a good call, you can count on my support for this.
[08:32:39] Maj. Kavashera: You produce a list and tasking orders and I will see what I can do to fast track it.
[08:33:05] Lt. Fallnya: "Then we have your go a head to borrow a horizon V and play escort for the next logistics and medical transport to (bear pple homeworld)"
[08:33:42] Lt. Fallnya: "Or one of the other small cruisers with good sensory arrays for the escort."
[08:34:05] Maj. Kavashera: You hash out the details, and we'll see what we can do okay.
[08:34:37] Lt. Fallnya: "Papers will be on your desk within an hour or two then sir."
[08:34:51] Maj. Kavashera: I trust you will not rush this.
[08:35:27] Lt. Fallnya: "We wont, i just get the feeling the squad is eager to get out of the classroom for a week or two…"
[08:36:03] Maj. Kavashera: Fat chance! You will continue to attend the courses assigned to you, this project you may conduct in your free time.
[08:36:31] Lt. Fallnya: "What no break between the phases?"
[08:36:43] Maj. Kavashera: This is the military not collage!
[08:37:17] Lt. Fallnya: "I know that but there has to be some time for information to sink in to sir?"
[08:37:33] Maj. Kavashera: Besides, Phase two should be a break for you…
[08:37:47] Maj. Kavashera: At any rate, you're gaying up the room, dismissed!
[08:38:02] Lt. Jaron salutes and leaves
[08:38:14] Lt. Fallnya stands up quickly "Aye aye sir." She salutes, about faces and leaves
[08:38:15] Lt. Ishida stifles a snerk and salutes and leaves.
[08:39:53] GM: The trio returns to the hanger deck…(Free RP)
[08:40:15] Lt. Jaron asks the two "Why was I brought in for that?"
[08:40:40] Lt. Ishida dodges the question.
[08:40:55] Lt. Fallnya: "I'm not sure hun…"
[08:40:57] CWO Sarah is quietly checking her Beta over, trying to be unnoticeable as much as she can be, though she glances around just a little bit once in a while.
[08:41:11] Lt. Fallnya: "I'm guessing its just in case i decided to change my XO…"
[08:41:23] Lt. Jaron frowns a little "I see."
[08:41:26] Lt. Ishida : Or CO
[08:41:33] Lt. Ishida shrugs
[08:41:43] Lt. Fallnya turns to Ishida. "So why didn't you pounce on the idea i proposed of me being removed of command?"
[08:41:56] Lt. Ishida : Because that would have been to easy
[08:42:08] Lt. Ishida winks
[08:42:17] Anthony hangs in the back, watching the group dynamic. He lingers about and out of place.
[08:42:47] Lt. Fallnya: "Easy pray is the best I'm told… That and you've known i hadn't liked the idea of being in command for a while now and I'm only just now getting used to it and starting to like it."
[08:43:08] Lt. Ishida : If I am to be given a command it will be on merit, not by default.
[08:43:40] 2 LT Komillia: Ya know, this is actually bad for us. We lost a member to these shenanigans that isn't going to be replaced anytime soon.
[08:43:56] Lt. Ishida : Then we will have to just pick up the slack.
[08:44:40] 2Lt. Aylanea sighs and looks down, nodding towards Komi, and to Ishida. "If I had any idea she'd do something like this, I would have said something long ago."
[08:45:13] Lt. Ishida looks around
[08:45:18] Lt. Fallnya: "Its not your fault, she wasn't cut out for the high stress of the front lines it didn't seem any way."
[08:45:42] Lt. Ishida turns to Lurana
[08:45:57] Lt. Ishida : Might be a good time to go over our mission requirements?
[08:46:27] Lt. Fallnya: "Right, we need a good scout ship and definitely good sensors that are hard to pick up that there being used… What else?"
[08:46:29] Lt. Ishida waves Anthony over, seeing him on the periphery of the group.
[08:46:56] Lt. Ishida : Whats our flight plan?
[08:47:24] Lt. Fallnya: "Didn't we discuss following the next convoy we could?"
[08:47:44] Lt. Ishida : Roger that.
[08:48:03] Lt. Fallnya: "Or would you prefer us to have command announce a convoy and go off solo?"
[08:48:37] Lt. Ishida : Either or, we still have no idea of the enemies methods.
[08:48:42] Anthony: Nods to Lt. Ishida, Anthony moves toward the group. Arms crossed he listens in.
[08:48:56] CWO Sarah looks up a little bit. "If we need to identify a masquerading enemy ship by signature being different, I'll need to go along to watch, to see which one has a different engine signature."
[08:49:33] CWO Sarah: Above and beyond the Beta duty, in the closest thing possible.
[08:49:53] Lt. Ishida : What about an Aegis rig?
[08:50:10] Lt. Fallnya: "True, i guess now would be a good time to go get some starcharts between here and (bear people homeworld), and reports of last known lost convoys
[08:50:22] Lt. Fallnya: "And their last reported locations"
[08:51:07] Lt. Fallnya: "Whats an Aegis Rig?"
[08:51:36] Lt. Ishida : AWACS add ons to the Alpha
[08:52:15] Lt. Fallnya: "Oh yes i forgot about those… i never thought they'd be practical but i guess for this kind of opp they would…"
[08:53:00] Lt. Fallnya: "But that still wouldn't clear us of needing to take a Fold capable vessel."
[08:53:52] 2 LT Komillia: That's when we piggyback, we're more likely to encounter toasters if there is an actual target to hit.
[08:54:09] CWO Sarah nods just a little, listening.
[08:54:13] Lt. Ishida looks at the other squad members, nodding to Komillia
[08:54:23] Lt. Ishida : Any thought form the rest of you?
[08:54:43] Lt. Fallnya: "Any way I'm gonna go grab the starcharts and reports of lost convoys then so we can triangulate where the attacks have been hitting us at."
[08:55:02] Lt. Jaron: "The Aegis rig on one or two would be fine"
[08:55:19] 2 LT Gamjin: I'm surprised my sister came up with something so cold blooded.
[08:56:03] Lt. Fallnya pats Suki on the back and starts to head to logistics or where ever she would need to go to get that info
[08:56:05] 2 LT Komillia: I never said we wouldn't help in the defense of whoever we're following, just that we would be piggybacking until we can get a target.
[08:56:35] Lt. Fallnya: "Just remember were not going to attack that target just yet, thats apart of our phase 3 final
[08:56:49] Lt. Fallnya makes a shouting note as she walks off
[08:57:05] Lt. Ishida : With all due respect, Phase 3 be damned, if we have the opportunity, we should take the shot.
[08:57:37] Lt. Fallnya: "Right but aren't we going to capture the thing?" she turns and walks backwards shouting towards Suki
[08:58:23] Lt. Ishida looks back at her pad, not wanting to yell across the hanger bay anymore, she looks up to the others.
[08:59:06] Lt. Fallnya once out of the hanger proceeds to where i need to go to get those logs and a good star chart
[08:59:31] Lt. Ishida : Okay, we're off till 0700, but we still need to get a plan in place, so, that gives us two hours to write it up, if you can think of anything to add, please see myself or Lt. Fallnya. Otherwise…dismissed.
[09:00:40] GM: In the CIC
[09:00:52] Lt. Fallnya: (CIC?)
[09:01:06] CWO Sarah: (( combat information center, where battles are controlled from ))
[09:01:22] Lt. Fallnya: (oh *goes silent then*)
[09:01:57] GM: Lurana as arrived at the CIC and has been given access. The room is dark, only lit by the computer readouts and a holographic plot display in the center of the room.
[09:03:09] GM: Anyone joining her, and what are the rest of y'all gonna do?
[09:03:09] Lt. Jaron: (afk)
[09:03:11] Lt. Fallnya would move over to the comm terminals trying to access logs for the last 20 or so lost convoys to Karbarra, hmming a bit
[09:03:48] 2 LT Komillia sneaks up behind Lu.
[09:03:55] UEEF coughs at the humming and looks at the visiting pilot with a dirty look,
[09:04:23] UEEF makes a shushing gesture, then goes back to minding his panel
[09:04:23] Lt. Fallnya: (i said hmming a bit at the info not humming
[09:04:45] UEEF: (thought was a typo))
[09:05:01] 2 LT Komillia: "You got Cylons in the attic."
[09:05:01] Lt. Fallnya: (nope)
[09:05:37] Lt. Fallnya: "Really now?"
[09:06:05] Lt. Fallnya: (i guess i should make a comp use check to seek the info?)
[09:07:16] Lt. Fallnya: [1d100] => [98] = (98) vs 89% comp operation
[09:07:21] Lt. Fallnya: (oh crap…)
[09:07:27] CWO Sarah: (( lol ))
[09:08:04] GM: You bring up a map
[09:14:18] GM: Green circles are the positions of the Fleet, the blue squares are the fold approach point of the convoys, the red nearby the fleet are hostile fold in locations, the orange are fold anomalies, and the far away red blips are distant contacts of unknown origin
[09:15:27] GM: [[http://shadowchroniclesrpg.wikidot.com/local-files/state-of-the-galaxy/Projectedpath.jpg]]
[09:19:38] Lt. Fallnya she sighs as thats not exactly the info she was looking up
[09:20:49] GM: No comments form anyone else?
[09:20:53] GM: come on now
[09:21:10] Lt. Fallnya: (good map but not exactly what she was hoping for lol)
[09:22:09] Anthony: ( lol )
[09:23:17] Lt. Fallnya: "This is harder than i thought…"
[09:23:22] CWO Sarah peers at the anomalies of 'unknown origin', frowning just a little bit and considering them, speaking very quietly. "Have any of the 'distant contacts' been investigated ever? Could easily be something they're launching attacks from, potentially. Being shadowed on both sides."
[09:23:32] CWO Sarah points to how parallel the courses are.
[09:24:35] UEEF: We have, but by the time our units get close the target folds away
[09:25:10] UEEF: And they seem to pop in at random locations, based on where the Fleet is, for example
[09:25:13] Lt. Fallnya: "I see that, problem is fold anomalies could be any thing, best way to check them out is to go to the area and scan for engine signatures, they have to leave some kind of crumb or something behind…
[09:25:48] UEEF: Those are the enemy tracks based on the fleets position
[09:28:28] Lt. Ishida : How much time from when you detect the unknown track till the arrival of the convoy?
[09:28:41] CWO Sarah tries to see a pattern, to predict something and consider. ([1d100] => [28] = (28) fleet tactics vs 54% and [1d100] => [2] = (2) general tactics vs. 79%)
[09:28:48] UEEF: Anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes
[09:28:56] Lt. Fallnya: "Hmm maybe we could get a LCT-14 Horizon-E the new variant in close to scan one of these fold anomalies before it vanishes?"
[09:30:00] GM: Sarah, seems that the unknown track arrives prior to the convoy. So, in order of appearance, Unknown….convoy…enemy
[09:30:24] GM: The unknown might be a spotter
[09:32:17] CWO Sarah hrms a little bit, pointing out the unknown's track, and locations. "They're watching when we get to a position, possibly. They're 'coming into range', when they're spotted. A high power sensor ship might do that to be following the convoy's course, to know where we are. It folds away, but could fold right back in, staying mostly just out of range of our sensors, while within range of theirs…" She hrms a bit.
[09:32:24] GM: Given your knowledge on folds, they aren't to exact, so, you might have an idea where you will pop out, but, it wont always be exactly where you intend, unless it is a real short fold, along a established route or if you are damned lucky
[09:33:01] Lt. Ishida : Tactics [1d100] => [22] = (22)
[09:33:07] Lt. Ishida : Hmm, look at this.
[09:33:18] Lt. Ishida points to the enemy fold in locations.
[09:33:30] Lt. Ishida : Here they were almost on top of the convoy.
[09:33:43] Lt. Ishida : But they missed the convoy by miles here
[09:34:27] Lt. Fallnya: "Which means their fold is just as accurate as ours, but still they would have to be coming in from a short range right to be that accurate at all"
[09:34:58] CWO Sarah nods a little. "Too exact for a long range fold, when they get in on top of it. On the one where they missed by miles, had the unknown folded out recently before the attack? Possibly making them fold from a longer distance?"
[09:35:28] Lt. Ishida : Or, like Sarah said, have a spotter to focus a longer distance fold.
[09:35:45] Lt. Jaron: "Maybe they wait there. fold out to avoid being spotted then fold back in on the convoy moments later. Also, does the fold something mess with sensors? Or possible they have cloaking"
[09:35:50] Lt. Ishida : Tactics [1d100] => [64] = (64)
[09:36:07] Lt. Ishida : But if thats the case, they must be able to detect the fold in progress…
[09:36:28] Lt. Fallnya: "This is making my head hurt…"
[09:36:49] Lt. Fallnya: "To many variables and ways it could go wrong."
[09:37:07] Lt. Fallnya: "Hell for all they know they might accidentally fold inside one of our ships right?"
[09:37:17] Lt. Ishida : Well, I guess we just make a list and go down it one at a time until we get it right
[09:37:36] Lt. Ishida : Well, theoretically, yes
[09:38:04] Lt. Ishida : Unless they are relying on the big sky little bullet theory
[09:38:30] Lt. Ishida looks at Jaron
[09:38:39] Lt. Ishida : Well, cloaking yes, they have the shadow tech
[09:38:57] Lt. Ishida : So, I'm thinking that the track on the anomaly was based on the fold in
[09:39:04] Lt. Ishida looks at the UEEF tech for conformation on that
[09:39:11] Lt. Jaron ask a tech "Curious; are the sensors usually passive or aggressive during a fold?"
[09:39:27] UEEF: Correct, we get an energy spike then the track disappears.
[09:39:46] UEEF: Sensors usually go to standby
[09:40:17] UEEF: Thats why the Icarus wasn't able to detect those Wraiths on her six when she returned fromt eh Omicron Sector.
[09:40:17] Lt. Jaron nods "Well every ships needs to be step up on their sensors"
[09:40:54] UEEF: Oh, you mean our sensors? Or the folding vessels sensors?
[09:41:19] Lt. Jaron: "The folding vessels."
[09:41:49] Lt. Jaron looks to Suki & Lurana "Could fold at the same time as the convoy but out towards the anomalies?"
[09:41:58] Lt. Fallnya: "Were just gonna have to find another way to trace them other than their folds, engine signatures any thing, then I'm trying to remember didn't shadow cloaking only cover our protoculture signatures?
[09:42:02] UEEF: Right yeah, the fold messes with them bad, so we go to stand by during a fold, only gravimetric sensor stays online to alert us to a large mass shadow.
[09:42:54] Lt. Ishida looks at Jaron
[09:43:40] Lt. Jaron looks to Suki "What?"
[09:43:42] Lt. Ishida : That would work. We would have to have the Oni's luck to fold in on top of the enemy, but we might get close enough to see what it is.
[09:44:15] Lt. Ishida : because we'd basically be fold to where we THINK it would be
[09:44:37] Lt. Jaron scratches his chest "Well just an idea….." and points to Lurana and Suki "You two are the brains here"
[09:44:42] Lt. Fallnya: right but problem if were on top of it and they fold with us in their bubble wouldn't that jerk us where they go?"
[09:44:54] Lt. Ishida : No I like it, best course of action so far
[09:44:54] Lt. Fallnya: or rip us apart?
[09:45:11] CWO Sarah nods just a little. "If we could run sensors into where we 'think' it could be, a probe or such, it might be able to get an up close look before they can fold out, as well."
[09:45:15] Lt. Ishida : Or blow us out of the sky, we don't know what they have out there
[09:45:29] Lt. Jaron: "A dummy vessel."
[09:46:11] Lt. Ishida : That would be a hard sell…to get the admiral to okay a decoy ship, smallest ship we have that can fold is a Garfish..
[09:46:31] Lt. Fallnya: what about the horizons?
[09:46:34] Lt. Fallnya: they cant fold?
[09:46:41] Lt. Ishida : Not fold capable,
[09:46:46] Lt. Ishida : well, not yet
[09:47:04] Lt. Jaron: "Well other than just going along for the ride….we have limited options"
[09:47:10] Lt. Ishida : but no way they'd risk losing an experimental one on something like this
[09:47:40] Lt. Ishida : Mil tactics, [1d100] => [27] = (27)
[09:47:40] Lt. Fallnya: if were gonna go against a possible cruiser i suggest we take something a lil bigger than the garfish
[09:47:53] Lt. Ishida : Well, what about an other ship class, that can fold
[09:48:08] CWO Sarah hmms a little bit. "A probe on minimum power might have less chance of being detected, I'd think, and if it powered up upon a fold inbound, it could get a scan and a picture, then transmit in an instant." She hrms. "But yeah, hrm. not fold capable, something would need to drop them."
[09:48:10] Lt. Fallnya: Like?"
[09:48:23] CWO Sarah: [1d100] => [78] = (78) Tactics
[09:48:32] Lt. Ishida : (boo)
[09:48:44] CWO Sarah: (( vs. 79% ))
[09:48:45] CWO Sarah: (( lol ))
[09:48:56] Lt. Ishida : Not sure, but if there is a cruiser or worse out there, some firepower would be nice.
[09:49:33] Lt. Jaron: "Well could we take a Garfish and drop a probe, then fold out before the convoy arrives? Or maybe fold a short distance away to observe the convoy fold in and see what happens?"
[09:50:31] Lt. Fallnya: "again same problem whats a poor garfish gonna do if we fold into a cruiser or something?
[09:50:44] Lt. Fallnya: "Specially if we have no fighter cover"
[09:50:47] Lt. Ishida : Well, we kinda know what happens already since that happens right on our doorstep, Convoy pops in, then within 1 to 5 minutes the enemy pops in after it and jumps it.
[09:51:02] CWO Sarah shakes her head. "We need to drop potentially multiple probes, and do it well in advance of whatever is shadowing us. Further along on the path."
[09:51:35] Lt. Jaron: "Just rapid folds to planet, dropping probes along that way?"
[09:51:49] Lt. Ishida : I like that plan. At least that way we might get an idea of whats out there so we know what guns we need to bring later.
[09:51:58] Lt. Fallnya: Whats with you and probes girl… has Suki not been paying enough attention to you?" she snickers
[09:52:03] CWO Sarah: Along the spotter's course, forward of where the spotters would be.
[09:52:11] Lt. Ishida ignores the jibe
[09:52:38] Lt. Ishida : Well, what of it? Probe ahoy?
[09:52:44] Lt. Ishida looks at Lurana.
[09:52:46] CWO Sarah peers at Lu. "Because it doesn't risk personnel, and only risks minimal equipment, when we can only risk minimal equipment, ma'am."
[09:52:48] Lt. Jaron looks to the team "Who here can operate folds?"
[09:53:09] Lt. Ishida : Not I, but I'm sure we could draft someone.
[09:53:18] Lt. Fallnya: "Nor me unfortunately…"
[09:53:33] Lt. Fallnya: "Just like last time we did"
[09:53:34] CWO Sarah looks to see how close the spotters are to the convoy, thinking.
[09:53:39] Lt. Ishida : Hai
[09:54:03] GM: The red numbers are the Distance in miles
[09:54:08] CWO Sarah: (( mkay ))
[09:54:11] CWO Sarah: (( heehee ))
[09:54:37] CWO Sarah hmms. "How big are the the sensors, anyway?"
[09:54:55] Lt. Fallnya: "Depends which probe you plan on using"
[09:55:03] GM: Anal?
[09:55:22] CWO Sarah coughs. "The least noticeable one that'll get the information we need to know."
[09:55:44] Lt. Jaron: "How about a junk dump?"
[09:56:16] Lt. Ishida : Forgiveness please, I am not familiar with that term.
[09:56:34] Lt. Jaron: "We drop the probe with a pile of junk too"
[09:56:46] Lt. Ishida : Ahh, I like it
[09:57:10] Lt. Fallnya: "Wouldn't that potentially foul up readings?
[09:57:22] Lt. Jaron: "not if we use the right materials"
[09:57:27] Lt. Ishida : I don't see why.
[09:57:57] CWO Sarah: might block a visual image anyway, depending on where and how the junk floats.
[09:58:02] Lt. Jaron: "In one of the Garfish's bays…a team will hurl the probes and junk out"
[09:58:13] Lt. Ishida : True, but if we disguise the probe AS junk…
[09:58:19] Lt. Jaron: "Well…..its better than it being spotted"
[09:59:31] GM: Okay, so we have a opening plan?
[10:00:00] Lt. Fallnya: "I like it then, rent a horizon drop off the probes and trash, along the route were heading to hopefully get a track and a visual to fold in on
[10:00:14] GM: Rent a garfish you mean
[10:00:17] Lt. Jaron: I'm for….rapid folds; dropping probes & junk until we get near planet….have some alphas on standby in a bay or two
[10:00:28] GM: first, feedback from Anthony,m come on now, participation is a must
[10:00:41] CWO Sarah nods just a little bit.
[10:07:52] Lt. Jaron rubs his temple a little "We'll need to blacken any lights. We can turn off the gravity in a bay can't we?"
[10:08:28] Lt. Ishida nods
[10:08:37] Lt. Ishida : Emission dark
[10:09:34] GM: After the group writes up the plan it is presented to the major who in turn presents it to the XO of the ship, who in turn presents it to the Captain, and so on up to the Commodore and to the Admiral.
[10:10:13] GM: Some tense hours later the plan is approved and a Garfish is assigned to the mission.
[10:11:39] GM: Make relevant skill rolls to represent the prep montage!
[10:13:05] Lt. Jaron: Intelligence [1d100] => [85] = (85) vs 56%, Tactics [1d100] => [81] = (81) vs 70%
[10:13:08] Lt. Jaron: (boo)
[10:13:16] Lt. Ishida : Camouflage [1d100] => [87] = (87) vs 60% Tactics [1d100] => [60] = (60) vs 75%
[10:13:30] CWO Sarah: [1d100] => [7] = (7) tactics vs. 79%, [1d100] => [37] = (37) Fleet Tactics vs. 54%
[10:14:19] Lt. Jaron: Camouflage too [1d100] => [43] = (43) vs 55%
[10:14:50] CWO Sarah: [1d100] => [61] = (61) Navigation: Space vs. 70% (to figure out optimum placement)
[10:15:39] Lurana: basic mechanics [1d100] => [69] = (69) vs 58% mechanical engineering [1d100] => [89] = (89) vs 28% nav Space [1d100] => [39] = (39) vs 58%
[10:16:01] GM: Tony skills?
[10:18:28] Anthony: Boarding Spaceship [1d100] => [91] = (91) vs. 55% and Intelligence [1d100] => [57] = (57) vs. 56%
[10:19:46] Anthony: Nav: Space [1d100] => [88] = (88) vs. 65%
[10:20:52] GM: Jaron works the tactics and finds a winner of a battle plan, but then realizes he has foiled the German navy at Jutland instead of dumping probes. Ishida is able to hash out a slightly workable plan but her attempt at dolling up the probes falls short and the end product looks more like a Picasso combined with a Jackson Pollock painting. Sarah on the other hand is able to correct the errors in Jaron's and Suki's plans, while Jaron redeems himself and reworks the probe to look more like space junk then modern art gone horribly horribly wrong.
[10:21:46] GM: Lurana winds up blowing up two portable generators and an impact wrench before she is shooed away by the deck chief, and instead works out a viable course to take.
[10:21:58] CWO Sarah: (( rofl ))
[10:22:29] GM: Anthony mistakes the garbage chute as a viable point of entry and doesn't know why.
[10:23:02] CWO Sarah: (( *whistles A-Team theme just for the montage* ))
[10:23:20] Anthony: ( lol )
[10:24:05] GM: [1d4] => [1] = (1)
[10:24:14] GM: Well, you work fast
[10:24:17] GM: 1 hour later
[10:24:54] GM: the probes, all 4 of them are ready and loaded and the garfish has been blacked out and prepped for launch
[10:25:39] Lt. Jaron: (yay)
[10:26:01] Lt. Jaron asks the team "Who will do the probe and junk drops from the bay?"
[10:26:44] Lt. Ishida : You and I will, Sarah, I want you on the bridge with Lurana
[10:27:01] Lt. Ishida : Anthony, you will assist us as well, while the twns will cover us
[10:27:01] CWO Sarah nods quickly to that and smiles. "Yes, ma'am."
[10:27:09] Lt. Jaron looks to Suki "I don't have 0g training"
[10:27:19] Lt. Ishida : You'll be in your alpha!
[10:27:42] Anthony: He nods
[10:27:58] Lt. Ishida : Those probes are bigger then our mecha, no way we'd move them easily with a cyclone.
[10:28:03] Lt. Jaron: "Very well…I was thinking more man sized tasks"
[10:28:10] Lt. Jaron nods
[10:28:38] GM: give me one second…
[10:31:35] GM: Sarah roll 1d100
[10:31:38] CWO Sarah: [1d100] => [42] = (42)
[10:31:42] GM: [1d100] => [13] = (13)
[10:32:07] GM: and one more
[10:32:12] CWO Sarah: [1d100] => [77] = (77)
[10:32:15] GM: [1d100] => [94] = (94)
[10:32:18] CWO Sarah: (( yeouch ))
[10:35:52] CWO Sarah: (( we got the probes ready and were getting ready to launch them, I was rolling something, GM? ))
[10:36:07] GM: hee hee hee
[10:36:09] GM: yes
[10:37:45] GM: You are all at your duty stations (James, the twins have been assigned CAP duties while the rest of the team dumps the probes.) as the blacked out Garfish folds out.
[10:37:57] GM: Sarah, roll an RSI as you on the bridge
[10:38:48] GM: Gamjin and Komillia, you may as well as you are on the hull
[10:39:23] CWO Sarah: [1d100] => [84] = (84)
[10:39:24] 2 LT Komillia: [1d100] => [73] = (73)
[10:39:31] 2 LT Gamjin: [1d100] => [4] = (4)
[10:39:35] CWO Sarah: (( ow, RSI vs 65% ))
[10:40:07] GM: Komillia and Sarah you don't see shit, but Gamjin, you feel the presence of the dark side
[10:40:10] 2 LT Gamjin: vs. 55
[10:40:45] 2 LT Gamjin: ((Must join the dark side, it is useless to resist.))
[10:40:57] 2 LT Gamjin: I got something on sensors.
[10:41:39] Lt. Jaron waits inside the bay with Suki and radios "Well, what is it?"
[10:42:03] CWO Sarah: (( lol @ Gamjin ))
[10:42:07] GM: Gamjin, as your vision clears from the fold, your systems come on line and begin their sweeps. you can hear the chatter over the net, the bridge crew are securing from fold stations and the hanger team is in the process of opening the bay doors to unload their cargo, you see nothing ahead of you but a slight blip on your scope catches your attention.
[10:42:47] 2 LT Gamjin: It's a blip, but I couldn't tell you anything beyond that.
[10:42:49] GM: The blip, only momentary, there one second and gone the next was, is, behind you.
[10:43:02] 2 LT Gamjin: It was behind us…
[10:44:04] GM: The bay doors come open
[10:44:11] Lt. Jaron radios "that's them…..we need to drop this fast"
[10:44:19] GM: Actions folks, tell me what y'all are doing
[10:44:41] Lt. Jaron aids Suki in pushing out the probe and junk pile
[10:44:50] GM: piloting rolls bay team
[10:44:57] Lt. Ishida : [1d100] => [80] = (80)
[10:45:21] Anthony exhales deeply and clicks about in his station, he keeps an ear open and eyes alert. Pilot [1d100] => [73] = (73) vs. 90%
[10:45:25] Lt. Jaron: [1d100] => [31] = (31) vs 80%
[10:45:28] Anthony: Anthony exhales deeply and clicks about in his station, he keeps an ear open and eyes alert. Pilot [1d100] => [49] = (49) vs. 90%
[10:45:33] Lt. Ishida : James?
[10:46:12] 2 LT Gamjin: (I thought I was CAP not bay team…)
[10:46:19] 2 LT Gamjin: [1d100] => [2] = (2)
[10:46:30] 2 LT Komillia: [1d100] => [43] = (43)
[10:46:41] 2 LT Komillia: vs. 85
[10:46:54] GM: James, just wondering what you are doing atop the hull, you are facing forward currently
[10:47:38] 2 LT Komillia flies about making normal recon type maneuvers
[10:48:01] 2 LT Gamjin flies in such a way to keep an eye on the rear.
[10:48:11] CWO Sarah tries to get onto the sensor station, on the bridge, to get a better view of what their problem is.
[10:48:32] GM: Komillia flies off and starts her circuit but as Gamjin turn his mecha his jaw drops!
[10:49:17] GM: 17 miles to the rear sits the enemy!
[10:49:28] GM: ((posting pics of what you see))
[10:50:04] 2 LT Gamjin: I have visual confirmation of the enemy. Orders?
[10:51:20] GM: You see 1 of the Baliel, 2 of the Basilisk, and 1 of the Cain
[10:51:44] GM: The three ships are turning on their axis towards you
[10:52:08] Lt. Ishida : How many and what type?!
[10:52:35] CWO Sarah: (( A basilisk? A basilisk here? Mandalorians are attacking the city! *giggle* ))
[10:52:38] 2 LT Gamjin: 4 in total, 1 of the Baliel, 2 of the Basilisk, and 1 of the Cain. And they seem to have noticed me noticing them.
[10:53:05] GM: The Baslisk is about the size of a Garfish, the Cain about three times as long, and the baliel is about 700ft long
[10:53:07] Anthony: ( lol )
[10:53:24] CWO Sarah: (( methinks they're not named yet ))
[10:53:25] GM: ((you, no one here, has EVER seen these type of Haydonite ships before, ever))
[10:53:32] CWO Sarah: (( lol ))
[10:53:54] CWO Sarah frowns a little bit, and tries to turn the sensors to get as much data as she can quickly on the inbound enemy ships.
[10:53:57] CWO Sarah: (( sensory equipment? ))
[10:54:06] GM: perc
[10:54:13] GM: gamjin and Komillia only
[10:54:18] 2 LT Gamjin: [1d20] => [12] = (12)
[10:54:23] 2 LT Komillia: [1d20] => [6] = (6)
[10:54:38] GM: Gamjin you can see the shimmer of Shadow cloaking active upon their hulls
[10:55:28] 2 LT Gamjin: They do have shadow cloaks, and they seem to be warships, though two of them is the size of a Garfish.
[10:55:47] CWO Sarah: (( hm, sensorproofed. ohwell ))
[10:55:58] CWO Sarah: (( *tickles da GM* ))
[10:56:07] GM: Sarah, you cant see them on sensors, and hearing Gamjin's comment you now know why.
[10:56:13] CWO Sarah: (( mkay ))
[10:56:27] CWO Sarah: (( can see em on visual scanning, can I not? Can take pictures at least. ))
[10:56:49] Lurana turns to the pilot of the Garfish
[10:56:54] Lurana: Get us out of here! NOW!!!
[10:57:27] Lt. Jaron radios "Lt, shall we hurry or just keep moving onwards?"
[10:57:36] GM: Form the Garfish sensors not really, but, the bay team did get one drone out the bay …
[10:57:55] Lt. Ishida : Secure the doors! Jaron, Tony, on me!
[10:58:23] Lt. Ishida throws her Alpha into Guardian and jets out of the bay, switching agin into fighter mode once she is clear of the Garfish.
[10:58:30] Lt. Jaron does so
[10:58:48] Anthony: "Roger that"
[10:59:05] GM: Once outside of the Garfish you are able to see the enemy ships first hand
[10:59:13] CWO Sarah swears very softly. "We either found the unknown, or the unknown saw us starting this, and responded when it thought it could catch us alone."
[10:59:21] Lt. Ishida : By the Kami!
[10:59:42] GM: init
[11:00:00] Haydonite: [1d20] => [6] = (6)
[11:00:00] Haydonite: [1d20] => [9] = (9)
[11:00:00] Haydonite: [1d20] => [19] = (19)
[11:00:06] Anthony: [1d20+4] => [6,4] = (10) init
[11:00:18] Garfish Crewman: [1d20] => [11] = (11)
[11:00:27] Lt. Ishida : [1d20+5] => [19,5] = (24)
[11:00:33] Lt. Jaron: [1d20+3] => [11,3] = (14)
[11:00:42] CWO Sarah: (( *dun have a WP for ship guns* *sniffle* ))
[11:00:52] 2 LT Gamjin: [1d20] => [16] = (16)
[11:01:00] 2 LT Komillia: [1d20+3] => [7,3] = (10)
[11:01:29] Lt. Jaron radios "There just wait out here for a certain signal then fold out then back here in a minute"
[11:01:36] Lt. Jaron: (there=they)
[11:02:14] 2 LT Komillia: ((my second run through of scans, have given me an all clear on all fronts.))
[11:02:22] 2Lt. Aylanea does… whatever she does, on the Garfish.
[11:03:16] Haydonite: The middle ship, the big one with the triple booms moves to complete it's turn and bring it's fore to bear. From teh hull laser turrets swing into play and loose lethal energy at the fleeing Garfish
[11:04:10] Haydonite: [1d20-4] => [5,-4] = (1)
[11:04:10] Haydonite: [1d20-4] => [17,-4] = (13)
[11:04:32] Garfish Crewman: [1d20] => [3] = (3)
[11:05:19] GM: The first beam lances past harmlessly missing but the second beam impacts dispite the Garfish helmsman's desperate turn to port.
[11:05:40] GM: [2d4*100] => 500
[11:06:08] GM: The shot tears a large chunk off the top of the hull leaving a glowing gash along the spine of the Garfish
[11:06:34] GM: remember reverse inti, those with higher may interrupt
[11:06:38] CWO Sarah tries to hold into a seat as the shot impacts.
[11:06:58] Lt. Jaron grumbles and radios "Should of let me pilot"
[11:08:08] GM: The smaller Garfish sized Haydonite ship accelerates, her bow facing the Garfish and she fires
[11:08:19] GM: [1d20-4] => [10,-4] = (6)
[11:08:30] Garfish Crewman: [1d20] => [11] = (11)
[11:08:52] GM: The shot goes wide as the Garfish reverses it's course and heads hard a starboard
[11:08:58] GM: Komillia
[11:09:52] 2 LT Komillia lines up one of the nearest attackers and fires with both gunpod and shoulder cannons.
[11:09:57] 2 LT Komillia: [1d20+9] => [13,9] = (22)
[11:11:22] Lt. Jaron radios "We making a quick fold? If so, everyone stay close to the ship"
[11:11:40] 2 LT Komillia: Roger, I can still shoot though.
[11:12:25] GM: The large ship is unable to dodge shots from Komillia, roll damage
[11:12:28] Anthony: "Roger that. Flying close" Anthony pushes the Alpha closer.
[11:12:50] GM: Inside the bridge Lurana has ordered the comms to call this in
[11:12:59] 2 LT Komillia: [(1d10*10)+20] => 40 [2d6*10] => 80
[11:15:26] Anthony: Has ordered Anthony flies close to the ship, arming his vessel to attack the loose ships cruising at them.
[11:17:24] CWO Sarah tries to adjust sensors for a few moments to see if she can try cracking the shadowing any, then moves to comms at the orders to call it in, trying to get the call made in a hurry, and send back images from the fighters or such if possible.
[11:18:12] Anthony: Fires a pair of MM60 missiles. Attack [1d20+9] => [10,9] = (19)
[11:18:21] Anthony: Attack 2 [1d20+9] => [9,9] = (18)
[11:18:34] Haydonite: [1d20+4] => [2,4] = (6)
[11:18:35] Haydonite: [1d20+4] => [5,4] = (9)
[11:19:22] GM: Your missiles strike true but not for the Haydonites trying. You see point defense guns open up on the missiles, but the missiles squeak thru! Roll damage
[11:20:14] Anthony: Damage 1 [2d6*10] => 60 and Damage 2 [2d6*10] => 80
[11:21:39] GM: Your rounds impact, but like Komillia's the damage doesnt look appreciable.
[11:21:56] CWO Sarah: (( oh, [1d100] => [5] = (5) vs. 65% sensory equipment, and [1d100] => [83] = (83) vs. 74% Radio: Basic, for my action listed ))
[11:22:01] CWO Sarah: (( lol ))
[11:22:53] Garfish Crewman maneuvers so that the main guns can be brought to bear on the enemy ships.
[11:22:58] Garfish Crewman: [1d20-4] => [9,-4] = (5)
[11:23:08] Haydonite: [1d20] => [8] = (8)
[11:24:11] Anthony: "Lt. Komillia I can attempt to take out their anti-missiles to grant us a better strike. Do I have your permission to carry on?"
[11:24:16] GM: The Garfish fires but the Haydonite ship is able to move out of the way!
[11:24:22] GM: Jaron, your turn
[11:25:41] Lt. Jaron makes sure the probes are secure along the the junk, radioing "ETA on that fold?"
[11:26:18] Garfish Crewman: Spinning up now!
[11:26:36] GM: The cargo is secure
[11:31:07] Lt. Jaron is bracing
[11:31:16] CWO Sarah braces for fold
[11:31:55] 2 LT Gamjin fires a dozen missiles at the nearest warship.
[11:32:00] 2 LT Gamjin: [1d20+3] => [9,3] = (12)
[11:32:11] GM: [1d20+4] => [13,4] = (17)

[11:32:12] GM: [1d20+4] => [3,4] = (7)
[11:32:32] GM: [1d100] => [72] = (72)
[11:32:46] GM: Roll damage for 10 missiles
[11:33:09] 2 LT Gamjin: [(2d6*10)*10] => 1100
[11:34:46] GM: The missiles impact the hull, ripping across the length of the ship!
[11:35:37] GM: The enemy ship rocks but presses on, firing at the Garfish
[11:36:05] Haydonite: [1d20-4] => [15,-4] = (11)
[11:36:25] Garfish Crewman: [1d20] => [11] = (11)
[11:36:29] CWO Sarah: (( eek ))
[11:37:09] GM: The Garfish is not able to dodge out of the way as the shot impacts the hull.
[11:37:15] GM: [2d4*100] => 600
[11:38:00] Lt. Ishida locks on and fires a spread of missiles as well at the damage ship, 20 of em
[11:38:10] Lt. Ishida : [1d20+3] => [11,3] = (14)
[11:38:22] Haydonite: [1d20+4] => [17,4] = (21)

[11:38:45] GM: 16 missiles impact
[11:39:01] GM: [2d6*10*16] => 480
[11:39:08] GM: no way!
[11:39:12] CWO Sarah once again tries to hold onto her seat when the hit from the enemy impacts the Garfish, of course
[11:39:16] GM: i must have screwed that up
[11:39:19] Anthony: (crap brb )
[11:39:25] GM: [2d6*10] => 90
[11:39:37] CWO Sarah: (( use parenthesis around the 2d6*10 ))
[11:39:38] GM: 1440
[11:40:38] GM: The enemy ship reels from the impact, chunks of hull splaying off
[11:41:19] Haydonite: [2d20-4] => [2,3,-4] = (1)
[11:41:39] GM: Well either or, it missed lol
[11:42:17] GM: The larger ship fires but the smaller Garfish is unhit!
[11:42:31] Garfish Crewman: I interrupt!
[11:42:43] GM: Yes mister Crewman
[11:42:51] Garfish Crewman: I fold the ship!
[11:43:11] Lt. Jaron: (haha yay!)
[11:43:21] GM: The garfish begins it's fold sequence as the basilisk takes a parting shot!
[11:43:29] GM: [1d20-4] => [11,-4] = (7)
[11:43:38] CWO Sarah: (( *cheers* ))
[11:43:52] CWO Sarah: (( eep ))
[11:44:07] GM: [2d4*100] => 500
[11:44:45] Anthony: ( back, sorry )
[11:44:55] GM: The ship folds just as the Basilisk fires upon it.
[11:45:50] GM: Folding back to the fleet the Garfish makes a spectacular entrance as the ship defold among a massive flash.
[11:47:52] CWO Sarah again tries to stay in her seat, pretty much getting bucked like a bronc by this point likely, on her little body.
[11:48:29] Lt. Jaron takes a breath and comms "Well….I doubt that will be seen as a success unless we can relay the sensor of Gamjin's vehicle"
[11:49:56] GM: As you return the stricken Garfish to the Phoenix docks you see on your sensors the Convoy fold in, and then arrive at the fleet. There is no attack on the convoy.
[11:50:32] Lt. Jaron: "Guess a decoy worked"
[11:50:50] Lt. Ishida : I guess so!
[11:50:55] CWO Sarah sighs a little from wherever she got tossed to. "Well, that certainly was everything we'd hoped to avoid with the probes, wasn't it…" She shakes her head slightly, getting up and feeling for any spots she might have split her head open. (since spaceships don't have seat belts when they have artificial grav)
[11:52:03] Lt. Ishida : I don't know about that, we just saw three new enemy ship types.
[11:52:19] Lt. Jaron: "Well the probe might have company if any of the garfish shredded off. Any casualties?"
