[18:35:22] : GM: The ship you are on makes it's way in system following the flight path of the Ghost you found. The Captian of the ship relays the message from the drone on as a matter of course prior to moving forward.
[18:37:18] : GM: You approach the 5th planet in the system. (it must be smugglers, or pirates, but, your commander knows it is them, he can sense it).

[18:39:46] : GM: As you close on the planet a few tracks appear on sensors and begin to approach and high speed, they are roughly the same size as a garfish. There are about three of them.
[18:40:21] : 2Lt. Sarah frowns at that.
[18:40:26] : GM: The captian puts the ship to action stations and increases speed. (brb food)
[18:40:30] : 2Lt. Sarah: (( k ))

[18:46:26] : GM: The contacts now Identified as hostile close to within 50,000km when a energy spike from the surface is detected. A series of twin energy blasts lance upwards at the enemy ships causing them to break formation, one ship is obliterated by a trio of direct impact, a second is holed befor it and the third undamaged ship peel off and retreat.
[18:47:34] : Capt Kain Crockett: "Looks like Havoc still has some munitions."
[18:48:06] : GM: As you enter orbit a pair of Ghosts rise up from the surface and flanks the Garfish and guide it down.
[18:54:07] : GM: Breaking thru the cloud cover producing a light snow, you see the Havoc, landed on the surface in the middle of what fortified encampment. There is a large gash on the Havoc upper left side, which looks to have knocked out a few weapons emplacements. A sandbagged 'structure' rests on her top and you can see troops within manning air defense guns. The fortified encampment has an earhten pallisade reinforced with wood and metal spikes, and a trench. Defensive bunkers dot the 'wall' and further inside you can see at least 6 of the Havocs Paladin units deployed in dug in firebases. The perimeter of the wall encompasses about two acres. There is a distinct camp under the ship, which made of tents, of all sizes as well as ramshackle structures. Nearby, to the left of the ship are more permenant structures, housees, and buildings, and by the roadways you can see, it looks like the Havoc just landed off to the side of a settlement and just dug in.

[18:56:08] : GM: ((Siege warfare is an art all it's own))

[18:57:52] : GM: There are many ways Mel, but most if not all of them would require a PRIMEBEEF or SEABEE unit and a lot of building meterials, of the others that would require time…you see that under way.
[18:58:46] : Lt. Melanie McGregor: "so where can we get a few cows, this place requires primebeef."

[19:00:30] : GM: The Garfish is directed to settle down alongside the Havoc opposite the town.
[19:03:16] : GM: A M299 that looks like it serverd on the SDF-1 herself trundles up with a driver and a gunner sitting on the back manning a jury rigged gun mount sporting twin M2HB's
[19:03:24] : Capt Kain Crockett: ((AFK, contact fell out.))

[19:06:39] : Capt Kain Crockett: ((AFK, sexy alien girl at the door))
[19:12:19] : GM: The driver slings a rifle and walks in no particular hurry to the Garfish's boarding ramp and is greeted by the Garfish's XO. The driver is (to the characters) immediatly identifiable as a Havocii and wears a greatcoat with it's hem faded due to use, over his uniform. He snaps a crisp salute to the XO and then offers you all a ride to the Havoc
[19:13:26] : Capt Kain Crockett accepts the ride.
[19:13:41] : Lt. Melanie McGregor decides to go see what a top of the line ship looks like.
[19:15:39] : GM: As you exit the Garfish the Havocii recognizes his fellows and smiles, his morale clearly lifted. "Well, damn! Cap'n will be sure glad to see you."
[19:16:45] : GM: Less then a minute later the jeep pulls up under the Havoc and you take the lift on up into her 'well deck'.
[19:18:28] : GM: Even the Garfish XO is impressed. The only sign that the Havoc is actually on a planet is the cool wind whipping thru the deck every so often and the crewman working in winter weights. That and Cyclone guards posted alongside Vanquish drones, which, as you rode over have been paired up with Cyclones riders in battloid mode who patrol the interior of the encampment.

[19:18:59] : GM: ((read up we'll wait, let us know when you are done))
[19:20:14] : Capt Kain Crockett: "I"m sure they will be soem private time for at least one blonde on this squad and the captain."
[19:20:46] : 2Lt. Sarah: (( sfine, I'll read while we go along ))
[19:21:29] : 2Lt. Sarah giggles just a little at Kain, blushing.
[19:21:39] : GM: It's not all that much Carrie, just finish it up and let us know

[19:25:13] : GM: You are taken to the CIC and again, the ship is spick and span, and the folks wear their dress uniform as always (but for the CIC's Marine guard.) very prim and proper. It takes the XO of the Garfish to finally put two and two togehter as the mass of Marine uniforms finally sinks in, and he gives himself a 'ohhhhh thats riiiiight…'
[19:26:09] : GM: The XO of the Garfish and the XO of the Havoc exchange plesentries (Suki is not on deck)
[19:28:11] : Capt Kain Crockett: "So where is Colenel Ishida?"
[19:31:06] : GM: "A pleasure to see a freindly face in our neck." The Havoc Xo nods. "Pleasures all mine, we came as soon as command noticed you were past due for resupply. We brought some combat loads, but, your request for humanitarian supplies died with your drone. We passed it along, but, sorry. We did bring some standard resupply with us, but sorry, no fresh food." The Xo replies, sheepishly at the end. The Havoc Xo laughs good naturedly. "Anything is better then nothing, when our skipper returns, I'm sure she will put the supplies to good use, as well as your ship. I'm not trying to be crass, it's just that, with a fresh Garfish, well, I know she will jump at it. Of course, your skipper will have final say so. I assure you, Col Ishida is not one to pull rank." The Garfish XO nods. "Roger that sir. I can assure you her reputation preceeds her, I dont think my skipper will have any issues taking orders from a knuckledragger." He replies, and there is some muted laughter from those in earshot.
[19:32:39] : GM: The XO looks at Kain. "Good to see you back Kain. Skippers inspecting the forward pickets. We expect her back shortly."
[19:34:53] : GM: The XO motions towards the conferance room, but pauses part way there. He turns towards the sensors and comm stations. "Summerwind, I think you are due for some offduty time. Brief your relief and dismiss yourself." He says, and offers Ay and knowing wink as he makes his way past. "You dont really need to join us Madresa, we'll be talking logistics and the like, terribly boring."
[19:35:36] : Cpt. Aylanea bluishes at that and smiles brightly. "Understood, sir." She loooks to Anji then, still smiling brightly.
[19:37:01] : GM: It's the quickets (yet still complete) shift change in the history of the UEMC. Anji grabs Ay's cuff and all but drags her to her quarters, then, with strength that belies her tiny frame, slams Ay against the bulkhead and proceeds the screw her brains out.
[19:37:17] : GM: Meanwhile, in the conferance room…
[19:37:51] : GM: The Havoc XO details the situation. (I'll bullet it to save time, toss in qestions as they pop up)

[19:40:01] : GM: The encmapment aside from her military personel (the Havoc's marines and pilots) has available to her 36 Bioroid mecha, (colonial militia) and about 20 other various mecha from Q-Rau to VF-1A from the PMC hired by the colony for added protection from pirates (and now…Invid)
[19:40:43] : Lt. Melanie McGregor: "Is this a warzone or a museum?"
[19:41:08] : 2Lt. Sarah blinks at that. "wow, a working VF-1A? That's actually pretty amazing."
[19:41:57] : GM: The encampnet hold over 3750 civilians within the town and tent city, conditions could be better, but the Havoc provides fresh water, and medical. Food is rationed, and MRE's are the order of the day. A few tents have been repurposed into hydroponics areas, to suplement the towns on 'farms' but, those crops are a long way out (and is more for morale, and to keep folkd busy then for any other reason)
[19:43:07] : GM: Speaking of keeping people busy, work crews constantly reinforce the pallisade and dig trenches and bunkers. This keeps fols busy as well as digs the collective military forces a firmer position to hold.
[19:43:53] : GM: The Havoc is space worthy, her hull breech has been sealed long ago, but, she does not have to room to evacuate the populace of the colony, and to leave would consigh those left behind to death
[19:44:53] : GM: The Invid attack semi regularly, but the Havoc does not have the manpower to sortie in the numbers needed to bring about lasting results without leaving the encampment woefully unprotected
[19:45:44] : GM: A hive has been located, but is protected by not only it's own forcefield, but by an outer force field projected by a new strain of Invid that resembles an armored sea horse.
[19:46:12] : 2Lt. Sarah just… blinks at that description
[19:47:51] : WO Febrith Nyx: "Genesis Pit monstrosities, I wonder if Invid ever get thrown in?"

[19:50:03] : GM: Sarah, the answer to that is, unlikely, the Regent Invid consider their current forms sufficiant, for Invid. (and the Regess considers your human form to be the top of the line form)

[19:52:26] : WO Febrith Nyx: "It was a bit of rhetorical question implying that I intended to throw a few of your species scientists in just to see what happens.
[19:53:31] : GM: The information int he bullets is briefed to you in far more detail , and as the last point is wrapped up the door slides open and Ishida walks in and belts out a crips 'Be seated, as you were.' before most folks can get their buts out of their chair as the guards calls the room to attention. (yes, you all pretty much get half way out of yoru seats, some of you to full attention by sheer muscle memory before you register her comment, and settle back down.

[19:54:13] : 2Lt. Sarah perks up visibly at seeing Ishida once again, even as she snaps by muscle memory before sitting back down.
[19:55:09] : GM: She nods with a smile as Sarah, and then takes her open seat at the head of the table ((and yes, our LtCol does the same, be seated, but I'm still at attention before he can say it. (I am proud to say, the other contractors i work with, are the same way, which warms my heart at the adherance to protocol)

[19:58:46] : GM: ((Oh, sorry, Ishida is wearing her CVR-5 and as the XO speaks, undoes and folds neatly a scarf she had been wearing about her neck. Stuffing it into her helmet, which her steward dutifully retrieves.
[19:59:44] : Capt Kain Crockett: "So do we know if this is another flying hive? Or is it just one with ridiculous shields?"
[20:00:57] : Lt.Col Ishida: Flying Hive? Yes, one of those entered orbit not that long ago.
[20:01:40] : 2Lt. Sarah ughs at that. "It came /here/?" She looks to the others. "Though that could be potentially significant…"
[20:02:11] : Capt Kain Crockett: "I was asking about the one we need to assault."
[20:02:13] : GM: Ishida asks for and I assume you provide, all the info you have on siad hive.
[20:02:33] : Lt.Col Ishida answers Kain…
[20:02:59] : Lt.Col Ishida: That hive may be space worthy, but so far as we've seen, it's stationary, and embedded.
[20:05:08] : Lt.Col Ishida: As for an assault, yes, I assume you have a full compliment of fighters aboard your Garfish?
[20:05:26] : Lt.Col Ishida asks the XO of the Garfish, and he replies in the affermative.
[20:05:57] : Lt.Col Ishida: Interesting, Shadow's those will be very sueful.
[20:07:08] : Lt.Col Ishida gets filled in by her XO and the XO of the Garfish Yada yada yada.
[20:07:20] : Capt Kain Crockett: "Well, for those of us qualified for them."
[20:07:35] : Lt.Col Ishida: Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
[20:09:06] : Lt.Col Ishida: Well, lets get some missile sinto the Havoc's tubes, and until we work up a plan of attack, I think I'd like to keep your Shadow mecha hidden from plain sight. Letting the Invid think you are nothing but a supply ship works to our advantage, for the time being.'
[20:11:11] : Lt.Col Ishida: One thing ladies and gentlemen.
[20:13:54] : Lt.Col Ishida: This Invid host is savvy. It's the first I've seen that makes use of non Invid technology. Which is one of the reasons we have been out of contact. We even know the make and model, but the jammer is Tireisan in origin. A powerful one at that. And, they make great use of their Inorganics, so, keep the chatter when outside to a minimum, watch your OPSEC, there is a reason we have cyclone and vanquish patrols inside the perimeter. We estimate there are at least four or five of those Crann hands inside at any given time, dispite how many we root out.

[20:19:29] : 2Lt. Sarah: "If they're savvy enough to use fold drives, tiresian jammers, and all that, you can bet they're making note of ship numbers and names. And they were able to block me from porting out of that hive last planet."

[20:21:12] : Capt Kain Crockett: "So perhaps the best thing to do would be to use you as bait, or a distraction. While they are trying to keep you from using your abilities, and think we are relying on them, we instead launch other kinds of assaults that they aren't prepped for."
