Those denser area's of foliage are the more likely sources of the ground fire as it would be easier to hide in there. Of course, given the propensity of the Invid to burrow…

[11:02:56] GM: You alnd on teh hull and mag lock down and a few seonds later you feel the ship shiver and your sensors tell you that it has begun to accelerate away from the battlefield. The enemy cap ship is a flaming wreck and is being drawn into the gravity well and the invid fightercraft struggle to keep up, but their tiny engines cant hop to match the thrust put out by the Garfish's capital grade engines and they are easily outpaced.
[11:07:57] GM: once away from the enemy the fish's bay doors open to allow you back inside
[11:09:41] 2Lt. Sarah sighs and relaxes in her seat, settling her mecha into its parking place (or wherever else they say) and hopping out quickly.
[11:11:41] GM: The hanger bay is pretty thrashed, and there are still invid mecha parts strewn about. Medical crews have already removed the dead prior to you being let back in, but the blood stains on the deck tell you all you need to know
[11:11:44] Capt Kain Crockett sits back, "So anyone know what happened to our rescuee.
[11:12:05] 2Lt. Sarah: "If he's in the medical area, I'd hope he's safe."
[11:12:27] GM: he is still in sick bay, but other, more wounded patiants have trumped his leg (which had pretty much been nadaged up anayway bfore the shooting started.
