[06:20:12] Chris: Okay, and we are off
[06:21:37] GM: Komi, you with your nat 20, drag up the one book from the trove. Having handled one bfore this one seems overly heavy until you pull it free and note that there is a second tome attachted to it.
[06:22:35] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Master, we have a twofer.
[06:22:52] 2LT Komillia Maeless plays up the "slave" role for the audience.
[06:24:15] CWO3 Sarah glances over and rolls her eyes, almost flinching at the comment, and looking at it. "Wow… Great find, most definitely!" She smiles brightly then. "Thanks for noticing it, mighta been in here hours myself looking." She glances around a little to see what all 'audience' they still have.
[06:25:06] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Your welcome.
[06:25:09] GM: The audiance concicsts of a quartet of guards in the room with you, but you can sense at least anoother 10 nearby, as well as gobs and gobs within 3km
[06:25:15] CWO3 Sarah: (( hehehehehehe. ))
[06:25:16] CWO3 Sarah: (( eep ))
[06:25:42] 2LT Komillia Maeless: ((Hence Komi being smart enough to continue the act.))
[06:25:48] CWO3 Sarah smiles brightly to Komi at that, and looks around quickly to see if anything else is there, not attached. [1d20+1] => [4,1] = (5)
[06:25:50] CWO3 Sarah: (( gah ))
[06:26:04] CWO3 Sarah: (( and bad rolls still plague me ))
[06:26:25] GM: There is a feelingof nostaliga there, surrounded by like beings, the 'warmth' of the hive knowing that 'family' surrounds you, as opposed to the cold and unaturally quiet life aboard human vessles.
[06:26:47] 2LT Komillia Maeless makes one last glance around, before whispering, "Maybe it's time to get out of here before we overstay our welcome." [1d20] => = (8) PERC
[06:27:27] GM: You see nothing of value to the mission, although the entire room is nothing but treasure looted from a thousand worlds all in the name of the Regent.
[06:29:10] CWO3 Sarah nods just a little bit at that, looking around. "Right… I'm starting to think that myself…" [1d20+1] => [12,1] = (13) (for the look around, perc)
[06:29:43] GM: Just objects d'art etc
[06:30:19] CWO3 Sarah: (( hehehe ))
[06:31:00] CWO3 Sarah straightens up a little and looks to the guards, still keeping her smile on. "Thanks for your help. And we are woroking hard to defeat the ancient enemy, no worries on that. Sooner they're gone the better."
[06:31:23] Invid Soldier: Yes your highness.
[06:32:04] 2LT Komillia Maeless follows Sarah.
[06:33:08] CWO3 Sarah smiles just a little bit, heading exitward.
[06:33:21] Invid Soldier escorts you out
[06:33:53] Invid Majordomo: I was…agreeable to host your presance, evolved one.
[06:33:58] Invid Majordomo: ((it))
[06:34:20] 2LT Komillia Maeless stays a few steps back.
[06:35:30] CWO3 Sarah smiles. "Why thank you. Sorry if we intruded on your time too much. Now that we found what we needed, we're hopefully a lot closer to stopping the shadows than ever."
[06:36:05] Invid Majordomo: Indeed. Yes.
[06:37:05] CWO3 Sarah: (( slight afk, supper ))
[06:37:35] GM: Anything last minute Kain wants to do planetside?
[06:38:41] GM: Yes, no, maybe so?
[06:39:35] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((Not really.))
[06:40:56] GM: The Invid and her slave return to the RCB and lift off , Kain, you are notified that they are clear, both ships depart and are met by the VM, it having decended into the mid atmosphere in order to retireve you.
[06:41:32] GM: The twin books are taken to Carter who begins to look them over.
[06:41:44] 2LT Kain Crokett: Nothing there but a bunch of stripped Kaberran ships.
[06:42:02] Gav'leth nods gruffly
[06:42:06] CWO3 Sarah hehehe
[06:42:09] 2LT Komillia Maeless: And for the record, I'm not into that leather and bindings play.
[06:42:13] CWO3 Sarah: (( er, hehehe ))
[06:42:16] CWO3 Sarah: (( ignore that ))
[06:42:36] CWO3 Sarah offers Komi a big hug once they get back. "Thanks for coming along. Sorry about how they reacted."
[06:43:01] 2LT Komillia Maeless: I actually kinda expected that.
[06:43:08] 1stLtFairman arrives to the passing over of the books to Carter; interested in the find
[06:43:42] CWO3 Sarah snickers a little then. "Not into the leather and bindings, huh? That's interesting…"
[06:43:54] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Two books! Two books! I find two books! With an Invid diplomat, of course, making it all non-violent.
[06:44:13] Gav'leth: Easy there little one.
[06:44:25] Gav'leth grins a toothy smile.
[06:45:07] Carter: Not a bad find, looks like these two are also concurrent concurrent volumns in the set
[06:45:26] CWO3 Sarah smiles a little at that. "Good to hear."
[06:46:21] Carter: Well, I'll take a look and let you know what we find.
[06:47:10] Carter: Free RP for a few
[06:48:35] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((Avoiding obvious joke, as I frequently have alias issues.))
[06:49:00] 2LT Kain Crokett: So, they were actually the friendliest people we've met so far.
[06:49:03] GM: A yup
[06:49:07] 2LT Kain Crokett: I really should be surprised.
[06:50:23] Sgt. Summerwind: Prolly didn't wanna risk pissing off Mommy Dearest.
[06:50:41] CWO3 Sarah nods at Anji. "That's what I'm guessing, and what I was guessing when I went down there."
[06:52:48] GM: Okay…moving on
[06:53:11] GM: [1d100] =>  = (85)
[06:53:12] GM: [1d100] =>  = (57)
[06:53:12] GM: [1d100] =>  = (35)
[06:53:26] CWO3 Sarah heads to her room after that point, to deliver her official opinion of seeing 'home and family' again to the toilet, and go see Suki for a while if possible.
[06:53:30] GM: Carter does his stuff, and after a few hours has something to share.
[06:54:03] GM: That was…descriptive…
[06:54:11] GM: and very evocative
[06:54:15] GM: I must say
[06:54:16] CWO3 Sarah: (( losing her lunch. ))
[06:54:18] CWO3 Sarah: (( not the other ))
[06:54:20] CWO3 Sarah: (( lol ))
[06:54:39] GM: Here is what I NNNNNNNN think of you HNNNNNGggg
[06:54:48] CWO3 Sarah: (( rar ))
[06:54:50] CWO3 Sarah: (( lol ))
[06:55:19] GM: [1d6] =>  = (6)
[06:55:37] GM: Ishida is in her quarters…
[06:58:03] CWO3 Sarah cleans up after throwing up, quickly, and goes to see her. Yep. At least until carter has something to share.
[06:58:18] That's the Tab key, Dave
[06:58:39] GM: Meanwhile the ship makes a series of micro folds. Then tucks itself into a eddy within the periphery of the nebula
[06:59:18] 1stLtFairman reads from datapad as he waits for nearby for Carter to get share
[06:59:55] 2LT Kain Crokett awaits Carter's report.
[07:00:21] 2LT Komillia Maeless went to the gym, did her daily routine, showered, and is waiting on Carter.
[07:00:28] CWO3 Sarah settles into her usual spot to await the report, once word is passed that he has one for them.
[07:00:53] Carter calls for a get together at the bridge conferance area.
[07:01:12] Carter: Okay, so, I actually ahve some news here
[07:01:43] Carter: First of, all, finding two back to back volumes really did help out, since it gave us a needed clue.
[07:02:23] Carter: If you look at the spines off the books, you can see that when put together, they form a choerent idogram, a picture.
[07:02:47] Carter shows the two books, which shows clearly the spines match up.
[07:03:34] Carter: So, based on that, we can extrapolate what the rest of teh picture looks like based on the one book we have, and pictures from some of the others from the archives.
[07:04:42] Carter puts up another picutre mosaic of about 20 or so of the total books (there are a few gaps) and there is a lenghty pictograph from end to end.
[07:06:06] Carter: First thing folks, we have to assume that Valtagos already knows this, since he has at least 8 or more books
[07:06:26] Carter: So, we've played a bit of catch up here, but this is a big step.
[07:07:58] Carter: Now, if my read of this pictograp is correct, this image here, depicts a floating lighthouse.
[07:08:41] Carter: Along with a some winged horses flying around it.
[07:09:14] 1stLtFairman: "interesting"
[07:09:46] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Ugh, I keep getting visions of jerkass Greek Gods…
[07:09:59] Carter: Well, you probobly should
[07:10:02] CWO3 Sarah just blinks at the script.
[07:10:16] Carter: The location of this lighthouse is probobly Praxis.
[07:10:53] Carter: Since there are floating rock formations on that world, and winged horses are seen in ancient art on that world.
[07:11:28] Gav'leth: Problem is, Praxis is also an occupied world.
[07:13:26] 2LT Kain Crokett: I thought the books were in Motherships, maybe there is a map to a specific part of the world we're supposed to look for? Something you'd need the entire set to unlock?
[07:13:53] Gav'leth: Right, well the books serve two functions really.
[07:14:00] Carter: Exactly.
[07:14:39] Carter: The one function that is obvious is what is on the spines. A map, to a gateway or portal of some sort.
[07:15:03] Carter shows the last few books with a mealstrom looking image with sailing ships heading towards it.
[07:16:02] Carter: Then, the contents of the books, which, seems to be a how to book for a civilization to follow the map.
[07:17:01] Carter: Agriculture, sciance, math, architecture, all the things the books talk about, how to irrigate things like that, all steps along the road
[07:17:47] Carter: Of course, the book writers had to use imagry that would be recognizable to a growing culture, , hence sailboats insted of star crusiers.
[07:18:05] Carter: Islands instead of planets.
[07:18:09] Carter: Stuff like that
[07:18:28] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): So in this context, space really is an ocean.
[07:18:38] Carter: Pretty much, yeah.
[07:20:20] CWO3 Sarah blinks a little bit at that, nodding.
[07:21:07] Colonial Ship Captain: So then Praxis is our next destination?
[07:21:50] 2LT Kain Crokett: Unless there is some other clue in these books, I guess so.
[07:21:55] Carter: Well it is an occupied world so, I'll leave that up to you military types. All I can tell you is that an intagrel part of the path is on PRaxis, well, has a very good chance of being on Praxis.
[07:22:17] 2LT Kain Crokett: Though, I think we may need to swing by a colony to pick up new mecha.
[07:23:00] Colonial Ship Captain: Which would take us out of the area for at least half a year.
[07:23:15] Colonial Ship Captain: If you are reffering to one of our colonies.
[07:23:31] Colonial Ship Captain: (our = Earth)
[07:24:23] CWO3 Sarah frowns at that. "Any way we could possibly narrow down the area on Praxis it might be on?"
[07:26:35] Carter: Well, likely the equatorial regions, where the floating rocks are. You know, just like that old crappy Earth flick with big blue aliens. Anyway, yeah, two trains of thought on that, either some reaction between the magentic field and the contents of the rocks, or more likely, the rocks house Anti Gravity modules. Big ones, that the Praxians havent 'dug up' yet.
[07:27:44] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Sounds like the story of Laputa.
[07:28:16] Gav'leth: Might not be to far off, Gulliver might have been an alagory of a Zentraedi, and all you humans were the Lilliputians.
[07:29:36] Colonial Ship Captain: Now that is certianly food for thought.
[07:30:17] Colonial Ship Captain: At anyrate, while you were on the surface we recieved a dispatch to rondevous with a UEEF ship at this location so, we will wait here for the time being.
[07:31:09] Colonial Ship Captain: If that is all, dismissed.
[07:31:44] GM: Free RP
[07:32:39] 1stLtFairman does some searching to see what kind of UEEF ship is coming
[07:33:05] GM: No info on that, the message simply didnt state that information
[07:34:44] 2LT Kain Crokett heads down to the galley and picks up some food.
[07:35:08] CWO3 Sarah sits quietly for a moment, blinking at the information, and heading back to quarters after the report on what will be going on. She looks around then and shrugs, looking to Suki and offering a smile.
[07:36:16] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Gee, with us losing so many mecha, but no lives in this unit, we should probably start calling ourselves GI Joe.
[07:36:38] 1stLtFairman has an odd feeling but shakes his head at Komi's comment
[07:36:56] Balaa: What Gee aye joe?
[07:37:01] Balaa: ((What's))
[07:37:36] Balaa: Is that some badge of honor?
[07:37:53] Balaa: An honorific?
[07:38:48] CWO3 Sarah blinks a little at Komi's comment, herself.
[07:39:54] 2LT Komillia Maeless: It's an old cartoon about military soldiers who fought terrorism. The only thing that was ever really destroyed in it were machines.
[07:40:10] Balaa: Ah, I get it.
[07:41:11] Balaa: We had many shows in the past that glorofied war in our past as well.
[07:41:36] Balaa nods
[07:42:24] 2LT Komillia Maeless: It did that, I suppose, but the funny thing was for all the people in it, only vehicles and such ever had lasting damage.
[07:43:55] GM: Some time later the intercom informs the crew that a friendly ship is coming alongside.
[07:44:29] GM: Shortly after that, the ship makes the usual shudder that indicates a hard dock.
[07:45:16] GM: From the Mess hall's windows you can see a large atriculated boom has affixed itself to the ship and collapsible scaffolding lowers into place.
[07:46:13] 1stLtFairman heads to observation to get a better look
[07:48:13] CWO3 Sarah blinks a little at that.
[07:49:08] GM: The VM is now docked with the UES Endicott, a Moreell Class repair ship built on a Ikazuchi fram, similer to the Montpilier Class ships of the same function built off of Tokugawa hulls.
[07:50:19] GM: Nearby are a pair of Garfish, likely the Endicott's escorts.
[07:50:36] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Big enough ship?
[07:51:41] GM: Free RP?
[07:53:08] CWO3 Sarah heads to Observation to look as well. "Hmm… If they have to send that kind of equipment too often, it could be a problem."
[07:53:29] 2LT Kain Crokett heads to the docking port to see what's going on.
[07:53:30] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Incredibly embraessing.
[07:54:56] GM: Kain, you can see Endicott crewers and tech coming aboard with repair gear.
[07:55:21] GM: The ships master at arms directs them to areas that need looking after.
[07:55:21] CWO3 Sarah sighs. "And preventable. If we didn't this time, next time we need to get a shipment someone should ask about heavier anti-starship missiles. The stuff we had didn't even penetrate their shields."
[07:55:45] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) nods.
[07:56:46] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Colonial ships dont usually carry the top of the line in Reflex warheads. Things like that the UEG likes to keep under lock and key. If the colonies DO have such weapons, they would likly reserve them for system defense.
[07:57:24] CWO3 Sarah nods. "This isn't a purely colonial mission though. And it'll be cut very short if the ship gets blown up with us aboard."
[07:57:49] 1stLtFairman places his hands behind his back watching the trio of ships
[07:57:49] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I doubt that we were expected to require Reflex weaponry.
[07:58:57] 2LT Kain Crokett: There's another concern though. We don't have a solid supply chain, and we're dealing with an enemy with seemingly inexhaustible reserves. When we go to Praxis, we are going to face that situation again, without the mecha necessary to pull off the assault.
[07:59:11] CWO3 Sarah shrugs. "The only thing one should truly expect is the unexpected." She nods towards Kain.
[07:59:44] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I'd say that is a certianty, if it's an occupied world, not only will they be there in force, but dug in as well.
[08:01:43] Ships Intercom: Noble Squadron to the Pilots Ready Room, Noble Squadron report to the Pilots Ready Room. Capt Ishida, please report to the Pilots ready room.
[08:02:30] 2LT Kain Crokett: You heard the loudspeaker.
[08:02:31] 1stLtFairman looks up slightly and "hmms" before heading there
[08:02:38] 2LT Kain Crokett goes to the conference room.
[08:02:50] 2LT Komillia Maeless heads to the conference room.
[08:02:55] GM: The Kain is all alone and in the wrong place.
[08:03:01] GM: I mean Komi is
[08:03:05] GM: well, both
[08:03:27] GM: Confearnce Room =/= Pilots Ready Room
[08:03:33] 2LT Komillia Maeless: ((Pilot's ready room then))
[08:03:48] CWO3 Sarah heads to the pilot ready room quickly
[08:04:37] GM: Arriving at the PRR, you see the ships captian, the XO, two folks clearly from Fleet Intelligance and a mid sized armored crate.
[08:05:17] 2LT Kain Crokett perks an eyebrow at the crate.
[08:05:30] GM: The Intell folks wear rank insignia, (a commander and a Lieutenant: navy ranks so, an O-5 and an O-3)
[08:07:26] Colonial Ship Captain: Have a seat.
[08:07:46] 1stLtFairman takes one
[08:08:03] 2LT Kain Crokett sits.
[08:08:04] CWO3 Sarah blinks at the crate, nodding quickly and taking a seat as directed.
[08:08:11] 2LT Komillia Maeless sits.
[08:08:57] Cmdr. White: Okay, I'm Commander White, this, is Lieutenant Black, and, I already know who all of you are so, that takes care of introductions.
[08:10:09] Cmdr. White: Our operatives have located a few itmes that might be of interest to you.
[08:10:16] Cmdr. White pats crate
[08:11:15] Cmdr. White: But first, Kain, is it, the Captian here informs me that you are in forward command of this op currently, care to give me a brief briefing.
[08:11:18] Cmdr. White smiles.
[08:11:37] 2LT Komillia Maeless doesn't snicker thought she desperately wants too.
[08:12:10] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((Do you really want me to spell this out?))
[08:12:29] GM: ((just tell him the crap you figure he doesnt know yet…))
[08:12:47] GM: ((or just sum it up…))
[08:14:11] 1stLtFairman: .
[08:15:13] 2LT Kain Crokett stands and tells the agents, what they want to here. He tells them about the encounters leading up to the "diplomatic mission" with the Robotech Master princeling, and how it was ultimately decided on a bet. He describes the missions to the floating Master hulks that yielded another book, and finally about the diplomatic relations with that one Invid colony. As well as about the information they discovered from the books about Praxis.
[08:15:49] Lt. Black whistles.
[08:16:09] Cmdr. White: Well, you certianly have been expanding your horizons well outside your MOS.
[08:16:23] Cmdr. White snickers.
[08:16:33] 2LT Kain Crokett: I'm Spec Ops, my MOS doesn't have limits.
[08:16:41] Cmdr. White: Oh really?
[08:16:52] 2LT Kain Crokett: I'm kidding, mostly.
[08:17:01] Lt. Black: Oh no sir, dont even think about it.
[08:17:12] Cmdr. White: What? He said it.
[08:17:26] Lt. Black uts his hands up in mock surrender.
[08:17:31] Lt. Black: All on you sir, all on you.
[08:18:03] Cmdr. White: Anyway, we can get back to that later.
[08:18:09] Cmdr. White opens crate.
[08:18:36] Cmdr. White: Our boys in black at the behest of command did some scraping about in the Sol Sector amd came up with these.
[08:18:57] GM: The crate holds two more books.
[08:19:34] 2LT Kain Crokett: That will be quite handy, thank you.
[08:21:07] Cmdr. White: You're welcome.
[08:22:34] Cmdr. White: I guess I should give you gals and guys an update.
[08:23:39] Cmdr. White: So, fleet wide, we've recieved some visitors from Earth. GMP types have been embedded with most major commands, openly. I'm sure that there are a few running around in mufti as well.
[08:23:56] Cmdr. White: You guys should be okay out here, just be careful of any new blood.
[08:24:12] Cmdr. White: Oh, did I let my personal bias slip out, shame on me.
[08:24:25] Cmdr. White: Anyhow, there's that.
[08:24:40] 2LT Kain Crokett: Civil War abrewing between the UEEF and ASC?
[08:24:56] Cmdr. White: Hope not, and I'd keep talk like that stowed if you get my drift.
[08:25:16] Cmdr. White: Dont want idle talk like that to be heard by the wrong ears.
[08:27:08] Cmdr. White: Campaign wise, we've been making decent progress towards Tirol, anything more would be a breech of OPSEC, Karberra and the nearby worlds have been secured although the enemy still has hold outs on Soroni.
[08:27:11] 2LT Kain Crokett: Understood.
[08:28:12] Cmdr. White: The enemy still has the ability to predict our moves, and it's a full time job with overtime trying to plug up all our leaks.
[08:28:42] Cmdr. White: As for PRaxis, you've heard it's occupied, and that intell is accurate.
[08:30:10] Cmdr. White: Enemy has a decent sized fleet over head, most of it fresh, some seems to be a detached flotilla and the rest are ships withdrawn from the Karberra Campaign.
[08:31:21] Cmdr. White: Surface contingents are concentrated among the population centers mainly, with air patrols planet wide. Of course, with the amount of shipping above, they can land a regiment inside an hour anywhere on the planet.
[08:32:17] Cmdr. White: It's no secret that we have operatives and advnace scouts on teh planet, but, since even I dont know their exact location, no harm in informing you, beside, the Haydonites are well aware of this as well.
[08:33:25] Cmdr. White: So, you can brave that cordon to accomplish your mission, or…
[08:33:32] Lt. Black: Oh boy, here we go.
[08:33:54] 1stLtFairman quirks a brow
[08:34:24] Cmdr. White: Hey, we got lemons, I'm trying to make lemonade, these pilots aren't total fuck ups.
[08:34:41] Lt. Black: Yeah yeah, I know.
[08:34:50] Lt. Black: But the Colonel isn't gonna be happy.
[08:34:55] 2LT Kain Crokett tries not to look insulted.
[08:35:04] Cmdr. White: You let me deal with the Colonel.
[08:35:19] 2LT Komillia Maeless gets slightly scared.
[08:35:26] Cmdr. White waves dismissivly at Kain.
[08:35:37] Cmdr. White: You aren't the lemons I'm reffering too, so relax.
[08:35:47] 1stLtFairman smirks
[08:36:45] Lt. Black: Sounds fair to me. Okay, let em have it, I'm laying three to one odds right now.
[08:36:55] Cmdr. White: You're on.
[08:37:11] Cmdr. White: Okay, this mission should you choose to accept it…
[08:37:13] Cmdr. White: HA!
[08:37:17] Cmdr. White: Always wanted to say that.
[08:37:28] 1stLtFairman smiles and rolls his eyes
[08:38:20] Cmdr. White: Okay, I know at least a pair of you in here are history wonks. So clue the others in later. Now, the lemons I was earlier reffering to is a situation myself and the Lieutenant find ourselves in.
[08:38:48] Cmdr. White: Oh, Seargent, secure the hatch if you please.
[08:38:58] Sgt. Summerwind: Yessir.
[08:39:06] Sgt. Summerwind dogs the hatch.
[08:40:30] Cmdr. White: About a month ago we had planned an op to help pull enemy resources off the line. The enemy got wind of it, those aformentioned leakes we are plugging, and threw a monkey wrench into the whole works.
[08:41:42] Cmdr. White: Now, the plan was to bomb a HVT, the though being, the Haydonites would then pull forces back to defend said HVT thus making our life on the line that much easier.
[08:42:24] Cmdr. White: Well, the launch platform and it's bombers was torpedoed and the attack essentially scrubbed.
[08:42:44] Lt. Black: here's where it gets interesting, pay attention kids.
[08:42:48] Lt. Black smirks.
[08:43:24] Cmdr. White: Exactly, so, what turned out initially to be a logistics snafu, has turned into a possible silver lining to a very nasty cloud.
[08:44:16] Cmdr. White: Two replacement bombers and special munitions for the whole gig was enroute, but got delayed. Luck us huh.
[08:44:28] Cmdr. White: ((lucky))
[08:44:45] Cmdr. White: Of course, to make this work is a group of suckers to fly those bombers.
[08:45:00] Cmdr. White: ((all i need is a…))
[08:45:48] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): How many bombers was the op planned for initially?
[08:46:00] Cmdr. White: Forty.
[08:46:23] Cmdr. White: Still interested/
[08:46:23] 2LT Komillia Maeless: And what specifically are these bombers?
[08:46:55] Cmdr. White points to the LT, without even turning his head (he's so cool)
[08:47:32] Lt. Black: Two modified LCT-14 Horizon-H models with all the bells and whistles.
[08:48:45] 2LT Kain Crokett: I'm not sure we have anyone qualified to fly those things.
[08:48:52] Lt. Black: Each Heavy will carry two Ballista missiles and a Damocles pod on a center line mount.
[08:49:32] Cmdr. White: You have at least three folks in your group that are rated in that craft.
[08:49:45] Cmdr. White: Two of them are sitting right here, the other is on her back in your sickbay
[08:49:51] 1stLtFairman raises hand ( i think I do)
[08:49:52] Cmdr. White: But I hear she's recovering nicely.
[08:50:58] Cmdr. White: So, you in?
[08:51:11] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): What the target?
[08:51:21] Lt. Black snickers.
[08:51:36] Cmdr. White: Haydon IV
[08:51:44] Cmdr. White: Belly of the beast.
[08:53:04] Sgt. Summerwind: Ffffff
[08:53:33] 2LT Kain Crokett: What do you think this is? Wing Commander 3 and Balista missiles as Tremblor Bombs?
[08:53:40] 1stLtFairman: "Geez. You high aim; I dont know what would be more difficult between that or trying to win Captain Ishida's hand in marriage"
[08:54:00] Cmdr. White: Not to familier with colonial vid games there LT.
[08:54:40] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) laughs, then catches herself, and coughs slightly.
[08:54:40] 2LT Komillia Maeless: I'd ask what's in it for us but…
[08:55:10] 1stLtFairman replies to Komi "Oh glory and the money; all that great stuff Komillia"
[08:55:18] 1stLtFairman gives a smile
[08:55:31] Cmdr. White: Well whats in it for you is that hopefully by the time you fold back from the bombing run, the enemy has pulled out some of it's forces from Praxis.
[08:56:06] 1stLtFairman: "Big if. How sure you plugged those leaks?"
[08:56:13] Cmdr. White: Now, this shouldn't be as bad as it sounds. You have a lot going for you.
[08:56:31] Cmdr. White: Well, those leaks have been plugged, of course, out here, we are secure as well.
[08:56:54] Cmdr. White: Now, first of all, the enemy thinks the entire operation has been sunk.
[08:57:01] Cmdr. White: And ofr the most part they are correct,
[08:57:23] Cmdr. White: But, that means they will not be on alert.
[08:57:38] 2LT Kain Crokett: I have only two serious questions: How close do we have to get for Optimum firing range? And what are the odds of a successful stealth fold in?
[08:58:06] Cmdr. White: Well that bring me to the next issue, Captian.
[08:58:11] Cmdr. White turns to the captain of teh VM.
[08:58:25] Cmdr. White: Your ship is snap fold capable is it not?
[08:58:34] Colonial Ship Captain: She is.
[08:59:44] Cmdr. White: The mission profile called for the launching ship to fold in with birds aloft, dropping them off some 6k miles from the planet, fold out, then meet them behind the planet to scoop them up after they finish their slingshot bombing run.
[09:00:04] Cmdr. White: Total time on target, no more then 10 minutes.
[09:01:04] XO: I dunno Cap'n, but we do have Balaa, will make the waiting part easier.
[09:01:18] Colonial Ship Captain: This is true.
[09:01:42] Colonial Ship Captain: That minimizes the risk to this ship, but not necessarily to the pilots.
[09:01:44] 2LT Kain Crokett raises an eyebrow.
[09:02:11] 2LT Kain Crokett: I'm in, but I'd like to hear the thoughts from the rest of the squad before making a final decision.
[09:02:16] Colonial Ship Captain: If the pilots agree, this ship will be at their disposal.
[09:02:29] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I'm in, banzai.
[09:02:47] 2LT Komillia Maeless: Worse ways to go out, I guess.
[09:04:10] 1stLtFairman: "Im game"
[09:06:14] CWO3 Sarah listens quietly at that, raising her eyebrows a little. "Lt. Madresa probably would be as well, were she asked."
[09:07:30] Cmdr. White: Well, you in or out Chief?
[09:07:52] CWO3 Sarah nods. "Certainly."
[09:08:02] Cmdr. White: Certianly in, or certianly out?
[09:09:20] GM: ((Carrie?))
[09:09:32] CWO3 Sarah smiles. "In."
[09:09:47] 2LT Kain Crokett: I'd say that makes it unanimous.
[09:10:04] Cmdr. White: Okay then, well, while the Mistress gets her repairs, let introduce you to your rides.
[09:11:02] GM: Basically dust off the Horizon entry on the site, look at the H Model, and add on the Ballista's and Damocles from the M model
[09:11:10] GM: Then, select your crew for each bird.
[09:11:16] GM: and their duties.
[09:11:31] GM: Free RP
[09:11:42] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((What are the duties, and who is qualified to pilot it?))
[09:11:44] CWO3 Sarah: (( hehehe. ))
[09:11:58] CWO3 Sarah: (( Jaron. Ay, and Suki are qualified to pilot. ))
[09:12:16] GM: duties are pilot(s) gunners, and sensors comms etc
[09:13:17] 2LT Kain Crokett checks on Ay, "Any word yet on the patient yet doc?
[09:14:08] Ahnhel: She should be good to go,
[09:15:23] 2Lt. Aylanea smiles from her bed and stretches out. "I'm sure the doctor here would love to have me out of her medical ward as well." She smiles at Ahnhel a bit.
[09:15:58] Lt. Black details the capabilities of the craft, and mentions that they both have Pin Point Barrier systems installed.
[09:16:14] 2LT Kain Crokett: Which wouldn't surprise me, We're doing a special mission and I need you to fly a special craft.
[09:17:20] 2Lt. Aylanea raises her eyebrows. "Really? Sounds cool. When, and what aare we doing?"
[09:17:36] 2LT Kain Crokett details the mission in a secure place.
[09:18:07] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((is looking over character sheets for best positions, how many gunner slots?))
[09:18:22] Lt. Black: Two
[09:18:47] Lt. Black: Pilot usually controls the forward facing munitions.
[09:19:24] Lt. Black: But, each forward facing weapon has can travers 20 to 30 degrees so, you dont have to be dead on…
[09:20:03] 2Lt. Aylanea rubs hands together. "Awesome."
[09:22:39] 2LT Kain Crokett: Alright, I'm dubbing the bombers Robin Hood 1 and 2. On RH 1, the pilot will be Lt. Fairman, the sensors and comms will be run by Sgt,. Summerwind, and the gunners will be Chief Amdahl and Captain Ishida.
[09:22:45] Lt. Black: Now, the eight ghost fighters per Damocles pods, each have a special little present for the enemy.
[09:23:16] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Sorry, Captians privlidge, I'm flying one of them, I dont care which.
[09:23:54] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) smiles.
[09:24:30] 1stLtFairman: "Since Im not comms or gunner; leaves little option"
[09:25:59] 2LT Kain Crokett: Then Capt. Ishida will pilot RH2. I will handle sensors and comms, and Lt. Madressa and Lt. Maeless will be the gunners.
[09:26:11] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) nods
[09:26:41] 2Lt. Aylanea nods quickly.
[09:26:49] CWO3 Sarah smiles.
[09:28:13] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Special little present?
[09:28:27] Lt. Black: Yes, a little bit of return to sender.
[09:29:49] Lt. Black: Each Ghost has a pair of decomissioned Beta mounted synchro cannons. Each tied to an initiator of the same frequancy of a Haydonites disruptor. Once triggered, the munition will over load in 30 seconds, then sayonara sucker.
[09:30:26] Lt. Black: So pick something nice and juicy
[09:30:44] Lt. Black: Ground or orbital targets are both valid.
[09:30:54] Lt. Black: If it looks important, kill it.
[09:31:53] 1stLtFairman nods
[09:32:50] 2LT Kain Crokett: Can the Ghosts fire the sychros before making their dive bombs?
[09:33:16] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) paints a Series of green circles on the deck, overhead and bulk head of the rear compartment of RH2.
[09:34:53] Lt. Black: They arent rigged likt that, command figured the second one was used the area would be blanketed with disruptors and all active ones would be detonated. We expect the are to be blanketed initially, so dont activate the munition until you are ready to use it.
[09:35:32] 2LT Kain Crokett: Understood.
[09:36:15] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) drags Sarah over to and inside RH2 and has her familierize herself with the interoir and the markings painted on the walls.
[09:36:34] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): In case we need to get out fast, or in case you do.
[09:37:07] CWO3 Sarah nods just a little bit at that, smiling. "We'll need to do it on RH1 as well, can't leave them behind if it goes bad."
[09:37:21] CWO3 Sarah: "On either ship."
[09:37:45] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Of course, I never meant … for shame.
[09:38:19] CWO3 Sarah laughs just a little bit. "I didn't figure you did. but need to have all points on both ships set enough to be safe."
[09:38:37] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) hands you a can of red krylon
[09:39:39] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) informs her crew that, she would like them fully armored and buttoned up for flight.
[09:40:15] CWO3 Sarah smiles and takes the can, heads over to her own crew, marking spots and getting herself properly familiar before the party.
[09:40:16] 2LT Kain Crokett: I figured that went without saying.
[09:40:46] 2LT Kain Crokett: Be prepared EVA.
[09:41:10] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I am more worried about 'flak'
[09:43:01] 1stLtFairman is prepared with CVR for the trip and some special items just incase in utlitiy belt. He acquaints himself with the Horizon
[09:43:07] Lt. Black: Okay, beyonds that, all your missiles are the best and the brigtest we have to offer.
[09:43:52] Lt. Black: And all of them have optical guidance, so gunners, you can suicide them into your targets without having to worry about countermeasures.
[09:45:12] Lt. Black: We also have you loaded out with Dargons Teeth Shperpards and Jammers
[09:45:19] Lt. Black: So use them as needed.
[09:46:19] 2LT Kain Crokett: Roger.
[09:47:12] Lt. Black: And since we have more Ballista's then bomber's well load up the VM with a few on external mount and they will be launched alongside you. Should help add to the confusion
[09:47:56] CWO3 Sarah straps her CVR on quickly.
[09:48:17] 2Lt. Aylanea straps her own armor on quickly enough, checking herself in it and smiling.
[09:49:31] Lt. Black: Good luck and good hunting, I'll meet you back at Sherwood Forest!
[09:49:36] 1stLtFairman takes a breath and get situated in pilot seat
[09:50:15] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) preflights and blesses her craft
[09:50:33] 2LT Kain Crokett assumes his position.
[09:50:39] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) then blesses the other one too.
[09:50:49] 2LT Kain Crokett also checks up on ECW abilities.
[09:51:08] 2LT Komillia Maeless grumbles about the missiles, and checks on the guns.
[09:51:16] GM: Each craft has a robust EM suite
[09:51:33] 1stLtFairman does pre test before getting to juicing the baby up for flight
[09:52:16] GM: Komi, the guns are in two turrets (the damage will be as if a pair of EU-15's, what is listed on site (those were ignored in the shuffle when all weapons were recalibrated)
[09:52:50] GM: There are also the plasma cannons, forward firing, and the Ghosts if you want to remote control them.
[09:53:04] GM: The centerline Rail gun is under pilot control.
[09:54:08] GM: There are three each PPB discs, with 500 MD each
[09:54:54] GM: which the comms guy or one of the gunner controls (pilot can control it as well as a last ditch, but, would be at negatives due to all the other crap he/she has to deal with
[09:55:10] GM: plus that would eat up an attack so…
[09:55:24] GM: since there are no autododges in this craft, pilots need all the atacks they can get
[09:57:03] GM: Okay, and you are off…
[09:57:45] GM: Both craft are launched as the VM reaches Max Q, after which the ship and you all fold.
[09:58:03] 1stLtFairman: "Yippee"
[09:59:47] GM: Several minuets later, indicating a long distance fold, you transit to realspace. Haydon IV looms ahead of you, surrounded by a myriad of orbital facilities ranging in size from your rudimentary workshack to massive space docks that make libery look trivial. There is also a lot of shipping, most of it haydonite, but you can see some Tiresian and other alien designs.
[10:01:57] GM: The VM launches her missiles, init.
[10:02:18] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+2] => [8,2] = (10)
[10:02:38] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): [1d20+7] => [1,7] = (8)
[10:02:40] 2LT Komillia Maeless: [1d20+2] => [6,2] = (8)
[10:02:54] 2LT Komillia Maeless: ((Suki REALLY wants to go first.))
[10:03:05] GM: Yes yes, get rid of the low rolls now, where they dont hurt you so much
[10:03:34] 2Lt. Aylanea: [1d20+8] => [2,8] = (10)
[10:03:35] GM: Need a roll form Fairman at least
[10:03:45] CWO3 Sarah: [1d20+3] => [20,3] = (23)
[10:04:03] 2LT Komillia Maeless: ((he said low rolls…))
[10:04:05] GM: This was supposed to be a low roll sink, silly
[10:04:21] GM: Fairman, need init
[10:04:25] GM: you is pilot
[10:04:31] 1stLtFairman: [1d20+2] => [18,2] = (20)
[10:04:35] GM: kk
[10:04:45] GM: reverse init
[10:05:16] GM: Suki has first action, and, she pushes the engines to maximum burn and heads towards the bluegreen orb
[10:05:23] GM: Komi
[10:06:17] 2LT Komillia Maeless looks for good targets of oppritunity, turrets, mecha hangars. [1d20] =>  = (7) PERC [1d100] =>  = (13) vs 70 RSI
[10:07:14] GM: The sensors tell you that beyond the really large targets which are obviously importnat, there are a few smaller targets banging out a lot of energy (radar etc)
[10:07:49] GM: Behind you, the VM folds out.
[10:08:27] GM: Kain
[10:08:41] GM: then Ay
[10:09:05] 1stLtFairman: Interupt
[10:09:20] GM: kk
[10:09:30] 1stLtFairman hits the thrusters as well; speeding after Suki
[10:09:34] 2LT Kain Crokett kicks in the ECM measures to make it harder for people to find the ship. [1d100] => = (57) vs 65 ECM
[10:09:36] GM: kk
[10:09:52] GM: Kain, you start banging out ECM and so far so good,
[10:10:20] Sgt. Summerwind: [1d100] =>  = (74)
[10:10:48] 2Lt. Aylanea checks sensors and view for targets and proble3ms. [1d20] =>  = (15) perc, [1d100] =>  = (25) vs. 73% rsi
[10:11:46] GM: RH1 is banging out ECM but it's not effective as yet, you also pick up lots of emissions from search radar.
[10:12:17] GM: There is also a hanger facility looming ahead, (think stationary ARMD)
[10:12:50] GM: Jaron inturrupted, so now Sarah
[10:14:31] 1stLtFairman comments "If you see a juicy target let me now; so I can keep it in mind when manuevering"
[10:14:46] CWO3 Sarah watches for inbound contacts, peering at the screen intently. [1d20+1] => [2,1] = (3) perc, [1d100] => = (68) vs. 75% (in case she notices something others haven't), [1d100] => = (7) fleet tactics vs. 64% for examining data there, for delinating whether or not to fire at a particular target.
[10:15:09] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((AFK, bio))
[10:16:46] GM: Fleet tactics tells you taht for now, the enemy is on the back foot, they are right now trying to identify the targets that just appeared, SOP will have them scramble, so you should expect enemy fighters to be in the air in 4 to 5 minutes, maybe faster if the haydonites are jhonny on the spot. Orbital defences are likewise being activated and you figure will be fireing, even if blindly in a minute, nor more.
[10:17:26] CWO3 Sarah relays this information to the others, of course.
[10:17:44] GM: Tactiaclly speaking you'll want to blow a hole ahead of your, clearing out any obstacles in your path, add to the confusion
[10:18:09] GM: Suki
[10:18:53] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): First target ahead, ready guns, Komi, kick a pair of Ghosts out, Ay, fire at your discretion.
[10:19:20] 2Lt. Aylanea nods quicikly. "Acknowledged."
[10:19:28] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) lins up the rail cannon at the Hanger facility and fires [1d20+8] => [8,8] = (16)
[10:19:41] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): [11d8*10] => 440
[10:20:59] GM: The round shakes the Horizon slowing her slightly, as the 4in diameter slug of tungstan rips into the Hanger Facility tearing a neat hole thru the 'tarmac' [1d100] => = (37) 25% chance of hitting a plane.
[10:21:18] GM: Just missing a idling Wraith.
[10:21:26] GM: Komi
[10:23:33] 2LT Komillia Maeless launches a pair of ghosts and have them make a run on the nearest, and largest capital ship.
[10:23:59] 2LT Komillia Maeless: ((let me know what I need to roll, I'm trying to find my Macross book for ghost stats.))
[10:24:01] GM: The Ghost launch and go off to cause havoc
[10:24:06] 2Lt. Aylanea: (( hehehe ))
[10:25:35] GM: atacks per melee equal to half operator, +1nit, strike, a-dodge, +2 to dodge when controlled
[10:25:52] GM: page 110 macross book
[10:26:09] GM: Ay
[10:26:46] 2Lt. Aylanea arms up the plasma cannons, watching the hangar ahead, and firing a quad blast towards them. [1d20+5] => [10,5] = (15)
[10:27:00] GM: [2d100] => [61,64] = (125)
[10:27:13] GM: You dont hit any planes, roll damage.
[10:27:25] 2Lt. Aylanea: [2d4*100] => 300
[10:27:32] 2Lt. Aylanea: (( fail ))
[10:27:49] GM: The target takes additional damage, and you can see some secondaries
[10:28:15] GM: Kain
[10:29:01] 2LT Kain Crokett kicks in the ECM measures to make it harder for people to find the ship. [1d100] => = (12) vs 65 ECM
[10:29:15] Sgt. Summerwind: [1d100] =>  = (66)
[10:29:26] Sgt. Summerwind: ?me is still having issues with her jammers.
[10:29:38] Sgt. Summerwind is stillhaving issues with her jammers.
[10:29:49] GM: Jaron
[10:31:09] 1stLtFairman follows Suki's action for now until otherwise; firing cannon at hangar facility [1d20+7] => [20,7] = (27)
[10:31:19] GM: [1d100] =>  = (12)
[10:31:22] GM: Roll damage
[10:31:26] 1stLtFairman: [11d8*10] => 310
[10:31:31] 1stLtFairman: [310*2] => 620
[10:31:38] GM: [620+440+300] => 1360
[10:32:29] GM: The shot hits a Wraith and passes on thru the entire station tearng a swath of destruction. You can see internal levels thru the gaping hole you just made.
[10:32:40] GM: Sarah
[10:33:33] GM: Meanwhile the Ghosts target tursters and weapon emplacement on the target they were told to attack [2d20] => [4,8] = (12)
[10:33:46] GM: The tear up the hull a bit.
[10:34:05] 2Lt. Aylanea fires the quad plasma cannons at the hangar quickly, wanting it gone before fighters are launched. [1d20+5] => [14,5] = (19)
[10:34:12] GM: You mean Sarah
[10:34:16] CWO3 Sarah does that. Ignore Ay
[10:34:19] GM: Roll damage
[10:34:26] CWO3 Sarah: [2d4*100] => 500
[10:34:38] GM: [2d100] => [6,87] = (93)
[10:35:12] GM: One wraith is tagged as the rounds cause even more damage, the facility is ablaze now as fule fires rage out of control.
[10:36:18] GM: Suki off a salvo of 10 LRM's at the Hanger facility to finish it. [1d20+7] => [13,7] = (20)
[10:36:27] GM: [1d100] =>  = (72)
[10:36:40] GM: The stations Anti Air does not react fast enough
[10:36:53] GM: [(6d6*10)*10] => 2000
[10:37:20] GM: The 10 missiles impact the facility tearing it to shreds.
[10:37:29] GM: Komi
[10:39:21] 2LT Kain Crokett fires off a blast with the turrets into the guns of a nearby cap ship. [1d20+7] => [10,7] = (17)
[10:39:53] GM: The turrets, meant more for anti aircraft impact the hull doing little apprecible damage
[10:40:00] GM: Ay
[10:40:30] 2Lt. Aylanea fires the big plasma cannons at a nearby ship, in a quad blast. [1d20+5] => [3,5] = (8)
[10:40:33] 2Lt. Aylanea: (( ow ))
[10:41:10] GM: [1d20-4] => [11,-4] = (7)
[10:41:25] GM: The ship is under way, but is unable to dodge the blast
[10:41:54] 1stLtFairman eyes the inferno "Sarah; got another target in your sights?"
[10:42:33] GM: [1d8] =>  = (8) Type of ship, 1 Cargo Transport, 2 Interfacility shuttle 3-4 Frigate 5 Crusier, 6 Tug, 7 Dreadnought, 8 Carrier
[10:42:37] GM: Roll damage
[10:42:40] 2Lt. Aylanea: [2d4*100] => 600
[10:42:59] GM: The ship takes the damage abaft but the armor holds.
[10:43:09] GM: Kain
[10:43:47] GM: (Dreadnought = Omicron, Carrier = Fantoma Class..FYI)
[10:44:05] 2LT Kain Crokett keeps up the ECM measures to make it harder for people to find the ship. [1d100] => = (16) vs 65 ECM
[10:45:30] GM: Kain, you and Summer wind need only make one roll per round, beyond that you can take other actions, so, I'll let you keep that for next melee, since I didn't state, but you can do something else this action
[10:45:37] Sgt. Summerwind: [1d100] =>  = (50)
[10:45:48] Sgt. Summerwind: Whoo hoo! We be jammin!

[10:50:36] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((It's a carrier.))
[10:50:47] GM: Whoever…
[10:51:30] 1stLtFairman decides to send a pair of ghost against the carrier; make it primary; fighter secondary (since I dont think we have someone to control; so they auto)
[10:52:19] GM: Against the carrier in what capacity?
[10:53:12] 1stLtFairman: pew pew type for now
[10:53:21] GM: kk
[10:53:35] 1stLtFairman: oh have one crashing in hangar bay of carrier and go boom?

[10:56:28] GM: Sarah
[10:56:41] CWO3 Sarah cues up the guns and fires at the carrier, wanting to keep the skies clear locally longer, lashing out at it with a quad burst. [1d20+5] => [2,5] = (7)

[10:57:54] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Komi, recall the drones or have them kamikaze, we are leaving them behind.
[10:58:03] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Ay
[10:58:12] GM: Ay
[10:58:20] GM: Wiat, Komi's turn sorry
[10:58:51] GM: and by leaving them behind, you are flying away from them now, as the target they are plinking is behind us
[10:59:37] 2LT Komillia Maeless kamikazes the two Ghosts into the nearby cap ships. [1d20+8] => [8,8] = (16)

[11:02:24] GM: damage
[11:02:25] 2Lt. Aylanea: [2d4*100] => 600 (quad blast)
[11:02:57] GM: you deal another bout of moderate damage, you blow a nice chunk into the hull but nothing that would slow it down any
[11:03:00] GM: Kain
[11:04:49] 2LT Kain Crokett picks out good planet side targets for the Ballistas. [1d100] =>  = (88) vs 60 RSI, [1d20+1] => [20,1] = (21) PERC.

[11:10:09] GM: You are lucky that barns cant dodge real well
[11:10:52] GM: Another scorch mark on the hull, overall not much, but you can see how a lot of these atacks can add up, your balst tears a chunk in the armor plate out exposing the super structure
[11:11:20] GM: Okay, so, for record, this was action number 4 for folks,
[11:12:14] GM: we will pick it up later on the 18th
