(4) GM: ((And, traditioanlly, the Wingleader, is the the least experainced, and the wingman (Kain) the mosre experiance, in order to cover the Wing Leader))

(5) 2LT Kain Crokett: You're right, you should be wingleader so I can cover you. At least in terms of formation, I still have command so obey my orders.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: ((Wouldn't a CO want a experienced pilot to cover their six?))

(1) CWO3 Sarah steps into the flight area, looking around quickly and heading to Danae and Kain as soon as she sees them, glancing around a little bit at the general activity.
(1) CWO3 Sarah: (( sorry, was at supper ))
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: LT where are our mecha being kept? I like to see them. I like to get to know them if I'm going to be working on them.
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett: In the hangar bay.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: I'm still not use to this ship, sir. What deck is that on?
(1) CWO3 Sarah: (( or into the pilot briefing/ready, rather ))
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett gives the proper directions.
(4) GM: The Pilots Ready Room has a bay window looking down into the Hanger Bay. (at room level you can see the gantry mechanisms, (the rear launch bays are clear, but the two forward ones hold two fighters on ready 5) below the launch area is the bay proper. Danae notes immediatly that bay operations are in null grav and zero atmo.

(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: Thank you, sir. If you'll excuse me. I think I'll head down since the Chief isn't here yet.
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett: Dismissed

(1) CWO3 Sarah nods a little. "Sorry I took a little longer. Wanting to knock out some of those flights Captain Ishida wanted done?"
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: Yes, ma'am. That's why I was looking for you.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon salutes Lt. Crockett and turns to face CWO Amdahl to continue their conversation
(1) CWO3 Sarah smiles and nods. "Well, so long as things are quiet, hopefully we can be knocking out one of them." She glances to Kain, straightening up for him quickly, and hmminh. "Just need to make sure it's clear with the bridge." She taps her pad to check, and send the request on to whoever it needs to be sent to.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: Ma'am I haven't even been assigned a Beta yet that I know of?
(4) GM: Departure clearance is given, Bay 6 (Lower Forward Port)
(1) CWO3 Sarah checks on the mecha assignment as well, to make sure of what it is, digging through her pad for it. "checking on that as well, then."
(4) GM: Sarah, a new Beta was dropped off by the Void Runner
(4) GM: I'ts 99.99% likely that it's for the new pilot/techie
(1) CWO3 Sarah nods quickly at the padd. "New Beta was dropped off for you, no worries." She taps in to confirm that, while walking for the bay.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: Yes ma'am
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: Shall we go, then. New mecha always make me nervous.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: I'd like to do pre-flight checks on the mecha before launch. If that is ok, ma'am?
(1) CWO3 Sarah smiles and nods. "Certainly. Plenty of time to set it up the way you like it, hopefully. Yep."
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon chuckles

(4) GM: As you do your preflight walk around (or as is the case here, 'float around') the bay lighting goes from operational white to combat red.
(4) Colonial Midshipman: Action Stations Action Stations, set condition 1 throughout the ship, this is not a drill (message repeats)
(1) CWO3 Sarah swears softly into her radio. "Sounds like this might be a combat test instead…"
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: Huh ma'am I think we better get 'hot' quick. I think we're going to have a rough ride on our first flight together.
(6) 1stLt.Fairman heads to hangar
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon climbs into the cockpit of the beta
(4) GM: As you move to your mecha, the Ready 5 birds are launched.
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett heads to the hangar
(5) 2LT Komillia Maeless scrambles to her Bioroid.
(1) CWO3 Sarah: "Depends on whether we need to launch. We'll find out soon for sure." She climbs up into the front of her Legios. "Better be in your assigned spot, anyway."
(4) GM: The two Gamma fighters speed away from the ship at full burner.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon starts warming up all engines and ensuring that the beta is ready for launch
(4) GM: Inside your cockpits your radios are linked into the net (to the fighters already in the air/space/black stuff)
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon talks into the radio, "Ma'am if the rest of the squadron shows up we just go into our normal assignments, correct?"
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon: By the way ma'am what is my callsign?
(5) 2LT Komillia Maeless: ((I know its bad timing but, AFK))

(4) Colonial Ship Captain: Roger that Delta Flight, reinforcements are enroute, ETA 9 minutes. Can you hold?
(1) CWO3 Sarah nods to Danae. "Yes, regular assignments. And we'll figure one out. Just stay close with Lt. Crokett for now…" She pauses as the linkup happens, swearing softly and eyes widening a little.
(4) Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Confirm Niner Mike's Roger that, we will hold…Gamma 1-1 break hard left…
(6) 1stLt.Fairman finally gets into alpha; its been awhile but the familiar seat is nice.
(3) Cpl. Danae Oceon takes a deep breath to try to calm her nerves

(4) GM: The Alpha's and Bioroid are launched first. The Beta's and Lightning are loaded with anti shipping missiles.
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett gets his Lightning prepped
(1) CWO3 Sarah checks her legios load status, getting ready to launch and get out to Komillia, as her wingmate.
(4) GM: As an aside, Danae gets a good look at how aircraft prep is dealt with by what she can see from her cockpit.
(5) 2LT Komillia Maeless hangs in a stand-by position for her wing lead to launch.
(6) 1stLt.Fairman comms to team "Well I guess a good time to switch up. Kain is Noble Actual now. Sarah is Noble 2-1. I will take Noble 3-1 I guess"
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett: That's affirmative.
(1) CWO3 Sarah nods quickly. "Acknowledged."
(5) 2LT Kain Crokett: Oceon is Noble 1-2, Maeless is Noble 2-2, And Madressa is Noble 3-2.
(1) 2Lt. Aylanea hurries into her own legios, checking the preflight quickly and getting ready to launch. "Acknowledged!"
(4) GM: The 'bombers' are loaded with their long range munitions and are finally expelled into space.
(4) GM: As you launch you note that the VM is heading towards the asteroid belt
(4) GM: The fight also seems to be taking place within the belt as well, at least towards the 'top' of it.
(4) GM: Okay, Kain, your call.

(5) 2LT Kain Crokett: Alright Noble squadron, form up. Team 3 and Noble 2-2 you'll fly cover actions, keep the enemy fighters off the rest of us. Team 1 and Noble 2-1 will make bombing runs on the enemy capital ships. Just fly in and once inside the optimum range of your missiles let a flight fly at a weakpoint, then turn and burn. If and when all enemy fighters are down, our cover will turn their attention to enemy weapon emplacements. We target those Torp Frigates first. Understood?

(4) GM: A few Haydonite Wraiths peel away from the furball as missile laden bombers wander into the AO. They dive and target the Beta's
(4) GM: The Haydonite Wraiths see the missile launch and toss out countermeasures as well as weave in and around vehicle to house sized asteroids.

(4) GM: You also note that the Two Torp Frigates are using their deck guns to blast any asteroid nearby that is large enough to hide a plane behind as they make their way towards the VM

(4) GM: On the bridge of the Crusier, sensors zoom in on teh VM, then onto the Void Runner, and focus on Master Dor'mir standing on the deck in the vacuum. The Commander of the Crusier mutters. 'Pyertonian, destroy it." The three big red beams return and triangualte upon the Void Runner,. Master Dor'mir rasies his arm and a glowing pruple crystal next to him fades and shatters and a energy wall deflets the beams, but, the Crusier is not done, and fires it's Synchro Cannon at the Runner, impacting her dead center, obliterating her an all abaord her utterly.
