Chapter 14 - Act I - Part 2

BEGIN LOG

[07:34:26] GM: Okay, so, intell
[07:35:37] CWO3 Sarah: Intelligence: Some us are sorely lacking in it. *raises hand* ;)
[07:37:03] 2LT Kain Crokett: Moving on…
[07:37:13] GM: indeed
[07:37:38] GM: okay, so, free RP, so this can be dealt with more or less in character
[07:41:40] 2LT Kain Crokett ensures that none of the "of the cloth" types are around and looks over the maps and details the spy cams come in.
[07:41:49] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+1] => [10,1] = (11) PERC on that.
[07:42:05] GM: Looks clean to you..
[07:42:18] GM: Might wanna roll a skill with that…not just perc
[07:42:51] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): [1d20+3] => [20,3] = (23) Perc.
[07:43:29] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d100] => [11] = (11) vs 70 Surveillance, [1d100] => [3] = (3) vs 55 Detect Ambush
[07:43:55] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) mills about and manages to locate [1d10] => [2] = (2) devices or other methods of observation. (peepholes etc)
[07:44:37] GM: Between you and El Capitana, you manage to secure the room.
[07:46:40] 2LT Kain Crokett looks over the additional intel given by the cameras over time. Looking specifically for the types of people that go into the palace, their fashions and mannerisms. Basically, anything that will get Kain and others through the front door like they belong their without anybody probing too deeply. [1d20+1] => [9,1] = (10) PERC, [1d100] => [22] = (22) vs 63 Intell, [1d100] => [81] = (81)v vs 60 Surveillance (the earlier 70 was a typo), [1d100] => [68] = (68) vs 65 Undercover Ops, [1d100] => [4] = (4) vs 50 Tracking (people)
[07:47:02] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((figures…))
[07:47:27] GM: Intell tells you that the palace guard has a more ornate and distinct version of Terminator armor.
[07:47:59] GM: Tracking people gives you a very good baseline on guard routes and intervals.
[07:48:18] GM: All the rest, nothing new
[07:49:00] CWO3 Sarah frowns slightly at the securing process, glancing between the two, and trying to add up the information they have, and try to put it into revising or analysing the situation on how to beat it. [1d100] => [17] = (17) tactics (with all updated info, vs. 94%), [1d20+1] => [2,1] = (3) perc (in case anything from that makes anything dawn on her)
[07:49:14] CWO3 Sarah: (( *gets bit by a squirrel instead* ))
[07:49:24] GM: Intell also tells you that the palace guard are armed with a halbard like wepaon that looks a cross between a halbard and a rifle.
[07:50:51] GM: Sarah, you are able to crunch some number and based on Kain's info you can locate a few instances of blind spots, but those last for mere seconds, and may be covred by other surviellance methods as yet unseen.
[07:51:40] CWO3 Sarah makes sure to make note of those, and the possibility of them being otherwise covered, of course.
[07:51:58] GM: beyond that, servents and other worker types enter and exit as palace workcrews decorate and otherwise set up for the upcoming ball.
[07:52:18] 2LT Kain Crokett considers if it would be pheasible to walk into the gala while wearing fancy dress, with at least the undersuit hidden underneath. [1d100] => [4] = (4) vs 70 Disguise
[07:53:42] GM: Easily done, just have to roll down the neck a bit, based on tiresian formal attire seen in store fronts and milling about on the Palatine.
[07:58:23] 2LT Kain Crokett: Alright, here's the plan to deal with the Doge. I'd like Capt. Ishida and Lt. Madressa to infiltrate in Terminator gear and secure the area that we noticed the holowall at, it is the most likely escape route, from the intel we have. On the chance that the area may be heavily guarded, don't worry about securing as much as being able to spring into action when the shit hits the fan.
[07:59:42] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) nods.
[07:59:45] 2Lt. Aylanea nods just a little bit at that. "okay…"
[08:00:38] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) looks at Ay, and with a slightly offputting twinkle in her eye make a wave with he hand and lowers her voice. "Do not fail me."
[08:01:47] 2LT Kain Crokett: The gala is going to have lots of civilians in attendance, our unit may have agreed to kill the Doge, but we are not going to cause unnecessary civilian casualties, therefore when the op goes into full motion, our top priority is to isolate the Doge. The further we get him from civilians the better. Also, we should try to do this in secret, so we don't have everyone immediately shooting at us when the chaos begins.
[08:02:15] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Agreed.
[08:03:21] 2Lt. Aylanea narrows her eyes slightly, and listens quietly, nodding to Kain about that.
[08:05:56] 2LT Kain Crokett: To that effect, Sgt. Summerwind and myself will enter the gala as guests. We will hide some basic armor under the formal wear, and only carry easy to conceal weapons. We'll be taking a big risk, but our job is to try and talk the Doge into meeting with us alone. i will fake a vocal chord injury, or condition, that has me communicate to Summerwind in either sign or whispers, so she may translate to whoever we are speaking to. The fewer eyes on us when the deed goes down the more likely we are to survive.
[08:06:25] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) coughs.
[08:06:37] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): A point to make regards that.
[08:06:48] 2LT Kain Crokett: Yes?
[08:06:57] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Royalty rarely meets alone with anyone, even their most trusted advisors.
[08:08:21] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): You would also have to navigate a series of ministers and other security.
[08:08:24] 2LT Kain Crokett: Alone, relatively speaking, if we only have a couple dozen people with eyes on us, that's still better than a few hundred.
[08:09:16] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Court politics are very nasty. Where the Doge to meet with anyone alone, it would spark immense jealousy of those not granted such a meeting.
[08:09:44] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): And that might, complicate matters as petty jealousises interfear with the plan.
[08:10:35] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Of course, my wxperiance is based only from the Imperial system of Nippon.
[08:10:47] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) shurgs.
[08:11:35] 2LT Kain Crokett: Do you have a suggestion for that, as my only best guess is to bring a gift scandalous enough to not want everyone to see it, but desirable enough for a Doge to want to meet the people meeting him.
[08:12:01] Sgt. Summerwind: That and this lot we're working with would get mighty touchy, they don't take to trusting folks easily.
[08:13:21] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): If the holowall is indeed a bolt hole, then we can funnel the Doge to it and us. That would seperate him from the lions share, we would of course need local support in order to , herd him towards us.
[08:14:12] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Besides, local support wuld be helpful, as the Doge would likely have his pretorian guard with him escorting him to safety.
[08:14:37] Sgt. Summerwind: Gotta keep him from going up to high, he reaches the bridge and we're never getting in.
[08:16:01] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I agree, if the holowall pans out, we make sure we do what we do while he is at ground level. Which would make that bolt hole the closest one.
[08:16:48] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) pauses, then looks at Kain for his thoughts.
[08:17:36] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((thinking))
[08:18:14] Sgt. Summerwind: Book side should be easier, if fancy pants is at the gala with his entorouge.
[08:20:17] CWO3 Sarah nods just a little at that. "Assuming we can get in and to the book without tripping any alarms that might bring the collector back to his house. I'm guessing he'll have plenty of security to be covering while he's gone, on top of whatever guards are left… Depending on how valuable he sees the book as being, he may have it rigged to an alarm itself.
[08:20:25] 2LT Komillia Maeless: It'd mostly be a smash & Grab I think. Just gotta make sure we get in unnoticed.
[08:21:35] Sgt. Summerwind: Lucky! Getting to do a B&E!
[08:24:05] CWO3 Sarah laughs and shakes her head. "yeah, lucky us." She hmms. "Depending on what kind of traps the house has, some may well be set up with the intent of being fatal to intruders."
[08:24:34] 2LT Kain Crokett: The most obvious attack, would be exactly what he expects: try to get our benefactors to stage an assault. But that would be suicide on their part, and would not likely do anything other than get them gunned down.
[08:25:30] Sgt. Summerwind: What about the work crews?
[08:26:20] 2LT Kain Crokett: Another option would be to get them to send in one or more assassins to the gala, while the others raise a ruckus outside, this might be enough to get the Doge to retreat. Especially, if I manage to "take the hit" for the Doge.
[08:26:34] 2LT Kain Crokett: Getting the assassins in via work crews is likely.
[08:27:16] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Intersting option, but how will you get from ground level, past the guards and to the holowall location at the same time as or before teh Doge?
[08:28:59] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I think however we should recon the holowall to be sure, beforehand.
[08:29:29] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): All this pallning will be useless if it's nothing more then a service corridor to a waster recycler.
[08:32:01] 2LT Kain Crokett: Agreed. We should probably infiltrate as work crews to get a basic layout. As for how I would have gotten to the holowall location, I'd just hope that we could fake a convincing wound, and he would take us with him, for the sake of medical attention. But that would be iffy as all hell.
[08:32:47] Sgt. Summerwind: I'll say, these Masters. They'd leave their own mother bleeding on the floor if they had one, and clone another.
[08:33:45] CWO3 Sarah nods a little. "Probably be offended at you bleeding on their floor."
[08:34:00] Sgt. Summerwind: Sorry LT, you'd have to be bosom buddy with the Doge for them to take you along if wounded, and even then. They'd leave you there in a nanosecond, and wouldn't think once.
[08:34:31] Sgt. Summerwind: These guys are grade a assholes with centuries of experiance at it.
[08:34:51] Sgt. Summerwind laghs at Sarah comment.
[08:35:00] Sgt. Summerwind: Exactly, and then bill your folks for the celaning costs.
[08:35:12] 2LT Kain Crokett: I'm more used to dealing with inter-colony politics to be honest.
[08:35:58] Sgt. Summerwind: Fuzzy kidgloves compared to this shit. You ever read The Prince? He comes close to getting it.
[08:36:16] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Good book.
[08:36:24] 2LT Kain Crokett: I've never heard of that book.
[08:36:43] Sgt. Summerwind: Shold have known you'd have read it Cap'n.
[08:36:58] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) nods
[08:37:10] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): About ten times as of last month.
[08:38:20] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): By Machievelli, addressed to, coencidentially, the Doge of Florance, Medici. A primer on how to be a 'good' prince. Basic premise…. ((you know it, so I'll pare the monologue))
[08:40:16] CWO3 Sarah makes a face at the idea.
[08:40:32] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) notes Sarah's look.
[08:41:00] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I'll let you borrow it when we get back. Fascinating meterial.
[08:41:20] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) says matter of factly.
[08:41:37] Sgt. Summerwind: Okay, so reacon, who goes and who stays?
[08:42:49] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((looking up characters))
[08:43:58] CWO3 Sarah mhms a little at that. "That's always been a problem, we don't have too many who're actually really stealthy. Some of us can try to be, but overall…" She hmms, trying to think.
[08:44:59] Sgt. Summerwind: Travel inside the drywall.
[08:45:11] Sgt. Summerwind says as if saying DUH!
[08:45:35] Sgt. Summerwind: Drywall. Heh, I like that word.
[08:46:31] CWO3 Sarah snickers. "Well, maybe." She shrugs slightly and shakes her head, laughing a little more at Anji
[08:48:11] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((And just what do you mean by "Travel inside the drywall"? I swear you're tossing out stuff I've not heard before left and right today."
[08:48:14] 2LT Kain Crokett: ))
[08:48:45] GM: Inside the superstructure of the ship, inside the bulkheads.
[08:49:17] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((ah.))
[08:49:27] GM: All players, had at least on character inside the walls of the Phoenix early on in game so…
[08:49:33] GM: same deal
[08:50:07] GM: plus, it's a nice homage to Robotech, you get to be the lil mice scurrying about int he walls.
[08:52:29] 2LT Kain Crokett: Alright, the Doge team needs to go. The more you see with your own eyes, the less we have to try and describe later, and get wrong. Amdahl and Maeless, I'd prefer you to locate the missing Lt. Fairman, but if you desire to come along and help us spot things I would not object.
[08:53:30] CWO3 Sarah hmms and nods. "I'd love nothing more than to find the missing Lt. Fairman, but I'm guessing the odds of finding him are relatively low, depending on what he's doing." She hmms.
[08:54:04] Sgt. Summerwind: Prolly jacking to a pic of Lu in a corner somehwere.
[08:54:21] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) bonks Anji on the head.
[08:54:44] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Thats an officer you are speaking about. In the presence of other officers.
[08:55:05] Sgt. Summerwind: Oww, right. Sorry.
[08:55:09] Sgt. Summerwind sulks
[08:55:26] 2LT Komillia Maeless: I'm going to go find where Fairman hid himself.
[08:57:45] 2LT Kain Crokett: Actually… Madressa, you assist Maeless. We may need Amdahl's special talents to get us out of a mess.
[08:58:19] Sgt. Summerwind: M&M, melts in your mouth, not your hands.
[08:58:34] Sgt. Summerwind cringes expecting to be hit by Suki again.
[08:58:40] 2Lt. Aylanea nods just a little at that. "Sure." She snickers at Anji's jokes, though, too.
[08:58:50] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): No, no hit this time, that was actually funny.
[09:00:25] GM: So off you go, Father shows you how to get into the drywall and sends Point with you.
[09:01:22] 2LT Kain Crokett keeps his eyes open for anything odd. [1d20+1] => [12,1] = (13) PERC, [1d100] => [39] = (39) vs 63 Intell, [1d100] => [46] = (46) vs 55 Detect Ambush
[09:02:03] GM: The superstructure is of course dusty, dirty, and reeks of fluids but mechanical industrial and … waste.
[09:03:09] GM: ((homage also to that scene in Thundercats…on Mumm-Ra's ship))
[09:03:37] CWO3 Sarah watches close for anything as well. [1d20+1] => [5,1] = (6) perc, [1d100] => [60] = (60) detect ambush vs. 80%, [1d100] => [51] = (51) detect concealment vs. 75% (for anything hidden) [1d100] => [77] = (77) navigation vs. 84% (to be learning her way, since if push comes to shove, they might not have a guide always)
[09:04:28] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((heh))
[09:04:41] GM: Methingks you should follow Point
[09:05:11] Point: Wrong way silly lady, that way leads to a nest of wall crawlers. Nasty buggers, this way, this way.
[09:05:11] 2LT Kain Crokett: Someone with navigation skills, take point. I'll just get us lost navigatign us to where we need to go.
[09:06:01] 2LT Kain Crokett: Are those creatures, or some gang of derelicts.
[09:06:02] 2LT Kain Crokett: ?
[09:06:04] Point: I'll get you there sir.
[09:06:09] Point: I know the way.
[09:06:16] Point takes…point.
[09:06:30] CWO3 Sarah: (( *again groans at that joke* ))
[09:07:06] CWO3 Sarah: (( anyhows. :) hehe ))
[09:07:24] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Sargent, Chief, you two stay up front with Point.
[09:07:47] CWO3 Sarah nods. "Yes, ma'am…"
[09:10:04] GM: You wind your way thru the area of teh ship between the first and second main levels, some areas are large enough to drive vehicles thru, and the evidance that they had been used in that capacity is seen here and there, in the form of tracks, (railway), and long abandone and scavanged vehicle carcasses. (get it, CARcasses)
[09:10:30] CWO3 Sarah: (( har har har ))
[09:11:03] GM: Free RP
[09:11:52] CWO3 Sarah glances over towards Anji idly, and glances to see how far back the others are, quickly.
[09:12:21] 2LT Kain Crokett keeps an eye out.
[09:13:07] CWO3 Sarah otherwise also looks at the insides, and the abandoned equipment and whatnot, blinking a little at some of it.
[09:15:23] GM: Anything in particular you are looking for Sarah?
[09:17:06] CWO3 Sarah: (( mostly an in general look around, want a perc, in case I notice something? :) ))
[09:17:16] GM: Sure
[09:17:18] CWO3 Sarah: [1d20+1] => [9,1] = (10)
[09:17:20] CWO3 Sarah: (( bleh ))
[09:17:23] CWO3 Sarah: (( suck and fail :D ))
[09:17:42] GM: Indeed, dust squirrels
[09:19:19] GM: Point does his job, and keeps you on the path, he seems to have been down here many times. He points out things like an over eager tourguide.
[09:20:52] CWO3 Sarah raises her eyebrows and smiles just a bit at that.
[09:21:03] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+1] => [16,1] = (17) PERC, [1d100] => [38] = (38) vs 55 Detect Ambush, [1d100] => [57] = (57) vs 63 Intell
[09:21:37] GM: Kain, this entire area is ambush city, with more blind spots, and cover then you can count.
[09:23:04] CWO3 Sarah looks around for anything that might be obscured somehow by the blind spots and cover, that might be either interesting or dangerous. [1d100] => [64] = (64) vs. 75% (detect concealment)
[09:23:07] CWO3 Sarah: (( ugh ))
[09:23:08] GM: Intell tells you that this area (not like local like where you are right now, but the entire 'floor') has seen many a battle, impact points from energy weapons, carbon scoring, bits of armor, and the off picked clean bone attest to hidden battles having been waged here
[09:23:31] CWO3 Sarah: (( ugh, crappy rolls. :) ))
[09:26:38] GM: Sorry Sarah, a success on the roll, but the spread is not great enough to notice anythig, not at the brisk pace Point is keeping
[09:27:45] CWO3 Sarah: (( didn't figure ))
[09:27:48] CWO3 Sarah: (( :) ))
[09:33:06] GM: You keep on going [1d100] => [88] = (88)
[09:33:19] Point: [1d20+4] => [20,4] = (24)
[09:33:26] CWO3 Sarah: (( O.O ))
[09:33:35] Point: Quick! This way! A patrol!
[09:33:58] Point graps both anji and Sarah's hands and pulls them into a side area.
[09:34:30] CWO3 Sarah gets grabbed and pulled easily, being as light as she is, nodding quickly.
[09:36:48] GM: Roll percs Ishida and Kain
[09:37:00] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): [1d20+3] => [3,3] = (6)
[09:37:09] CWO3 Sarah: (( hehehe ))
[09:37:35] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+1] => [16,1] = (17)
[09:38:23] GM: Kain, you see anji and Sarah pulle doff to the side.
[09:39:32] 2LT Kain Crokett grabs Ishida and dives in the same general direction as the others.
[09:39:46] GM: [1d20+3] => [10,3] = (13)
[09:41:06] GM: A trio of security forces makes their way past (non terminator armor)
[09:41:30] GM: They turn the bend as Kain and Ishida disappear behind cover.
[09:44:05] GM: [1d20+3] => [9,3] = (12)
[09:44:12] GM: And walk on past
[09:45:36] Point pokes his head out as the guards pass on by.
[09:45:46] Point: Whew.
[09:46:07] Point: They must be upping the patrols becuase of the gala.
[09:46:12] 2LT Kain Crokett: Missing patrols usually cause more problems than they solve.
[09:46:27] 2LT Kain Crokett: That would seem the most likely course of action.
[09:46:29] Point nods
[09:46:35] CWO3 Sarah nods a little bit at all of it, as well.
[09:46:50] Point: Patrols do go missing from time to time, creepy crawlies in the walls get them.
[09:47:40] Point: C'mon, lets keep going, we're almost there.
[09:47:54] CWO3 Sarah makes a face. "Er… that's lovely…" she looks around more sharply to see if she can see anything more. [1d20+1] => [9,1] = (10) perc, [1d100] => [1] = (1) detect ambush vs. 80%, [1d100] => [29] = (29) detect concealment vs. 75%
[09:48:29] CWO3 Sarah: (( O.O ))
[09:48:33] GM: Speaking of creepy crawlies….
[09:48:44] CWO3 Sarah: (( hey :p ))
[09:48:46] CWO3 Sarah: (( rar ))
[09:48:46] 2LT Kain Crokett follows after, and looks to Ishida to see if there is any need for further discussion.
[09:49:00] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+1] => [13,1] = (14) PERC, [1d100] => [94] = (94) vs 55 Detect Ambush, [1d100] => [13] = (13) vs 63 Intell
[09:51:02] CWO3 Sarah: (( I'm not creepy, I'm just different. ))
[09:51:04] CWO3 Sarah: (( :) ))
[09:52:58] GM: As you look around you see, reflecting off the low light an slew of eyes off of an arachnid of some sort.
[09:53:38] 2LT Kain Crokett: Wall creepers?
[09:53:57] GM: Sarah you may roll init, the rest, have to wait
[09:54:28] CWO3 Sarah flinches and gets ready. [1d20+3] => [10,3] = (13)
[09:54:30] GM: Ceek [1d20+5] => [18,5] = (23)
[09:54:37] GM: The Ceek attacks
[09:54:57] GM: [1d20+9] => [13,9] = (22) Attacks Sarah
[09:55:43] GM: Sarah, you can try and doge it
[09:55:46] GM: dodge
[09:56:37] CWO3 Sarah tries to move away of course. [1d20+7] => [11,7] = (18)
[09:56:44] CWO3 Sarah: (( wow, fail. :p ))
[09:57:25] GM: [1d8] => [6] = (6) to sarahs armor. As well as a [1d6] => [2] = (2) foot knockback from the impact.
[09:57:44] CWO3 Sarah: (( how big are they? ))
[09:57:53] GM: size of a horse.
[09:57:54] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((afk))
[09:58:06] CWO3 Sarah: (( O.O ))
[10:00:51] GM: The sipder attacks Sarah again, with gooey webbing [1d20=9] => 1d20=9
[10:00:58] GM: [1d20+9] => [2,9] = (11)
[10:01:01] GM: Whiff
[10:01:01] CWO3 Sarah: (( lol ))
[10:01:13] GM: The others may roll init now.
[10:02:46] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): [1d20+7] => [4,7] = (11)
[10:02:57] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+2] => [1,2] = (3)
[10:03:06] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((rofl))
[10:03:17] CWO3 Sarah: (( lol ))
[10:03:18] Sgt. Summerwind: [1d20] => [19] = (19)
[10:03:32] CWO3 Sarah: (( Wow Anji! :D ))

[10:29:51] GM: Leaving a trail of slick green goo being it from the damamge from Kain and Suki's blades.
[10:29:58] GM: And Anji's too.
[10:30:22] Sgt. Summerwind: The fuck was THAT?!
[10:30:37] Point pokes his head out from where he had taken cover.
[10:30:45] CWO3 Sarah blinks at that, looking at the green goo and blinking a little bit.
[10:30:47] Point: A ceek.
[10:30:58] CWO3 Sarah: (( er, not blinking again, ignore that.\ brain fail ))
[10:31:01] Sgt. Summerwind: A what?
[10:31:10] Point: A ceek.
[10:31:42] 2LT Kain Crokett: A giant alien spider wanting to eat Amdahl. Do we really need to know more than that?
[10:31:56] 2LT Kain Crokett: Well, besides is there are more of them out there?
[10:32:02] CWO3 Sarah glances over. "Well, knowing if they hunt alone or in numbers would be good, yes."
[10:32:27] Point: They usually come out alone.
[10:32:28] CWO3 Sarah still looks at the green goo, looking down at herself just a little in thinking about it, and shaking her head.
[10:32:35] Point: Kinda territorial
[10:33:17] Point: Some folks thing that the Doge set them loose down here to eat undesireables.
[10:33:32] Point: But, thats fools talk, since it eats patrols as well.
[10:34:33] Point: There are other rumors that they were really just small bugs, then the masters put them in sizing chambers.
[10:34:51] CWO3 Sarah winces just a little at that. "Ouch." She hmms.
[10:35:19] Point: Yeah, best we hurry away before it comes back, or another one shows up.
[10:35:45] 2LT Kain Crokett: Agreed.
[10:36:45] GM: You hurry along, and after a while you come to a wall that leads up.
[10:37:12] Point: Up there, that leads to where you wanted to go, I've never been up there before.
[10:38:36] CWO3 Sarah raises her eyebrows at that. "Really… that's interesting."
[10:39:45] GM: make some climbing rolls
[10:40:28] CWO3 Sarah: (( oh god… lol ))

[10:42:30] CWO3 Sarah: (( j/k ))
[10:42:46] GM: Sarah, you spend the reast of teh climb in Suki's back like a backpack…
[10:42:56] GM: Anji, does, so so
[10:43:33] GM: Kain two more rolls
[10:43:47] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d100] => [40] = (40) vs 70 % Climbing
[10:43:49] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d100] => [57] = (57) vs 70 % Climbing
[10:43:55] GM: Kain is the man
[10:43:58] GM: Ook ook
[10:44:26] 2LT Kain Crokett: Anyone looking for chest pounding needs to go watch a Tarzan movie.
[10:44:31] GM: You eventually make it up to a landing som 300 to 400 foot off the ground…point on the other hand doesnt try and make the climb.
[10:44:36] CWO3 Sarah grumbles as she's stuck on Suki's back. "Too bad it's likely too well monitored, or I'd switch to energy and just fly up under my own damned power." She looks up towards the destination, as a lookout. [1d20+1] => [10,1] = (11) perc [1d100] => [30] = (30) vs. 80% detect ambush, [1d100] => [48] = (48) vs. 75% Detect Concealment
[10:45:24] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Do not worry, it is just something that we can work on later, besides having you pressed into my back is agreeable.
[10:45:38] 2LT Kain Crokett runs a quick eye for trouble. [1d20+1] => [5,1] = (6) PERC, [1d100] => [4] = (4) vs 55 Detect Ambush.
[10:45:43] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) says in a matter of fact tone as she climbs, then deposits you on the landing.
[10:46:34] Sgt. Summerwind: [1d20+1] => [13,1] = (14) perc
[10:47:54] GM: You notice that this area seems to be out of repair, although there is light from service lighting (yellow / orange lamps that make a buzzing sound and flicker now and again like some bad prison movie)
[10:49:07] GM: The landing you are on has a door to it, and this looks like a service entry to the super structure, there is also a ladder leading upwards, and a catwalk leading along the wall in either direction.
[10:49:40] GM: Anji takes a look at the wall and wipes some age and grime away.
[10:50:04] Sgt. Summerwind: Level 65 Service Entrance.
[10:50:20] Sgt. Summerwind: Safety First.
[10:50:27] Sgt. Summerwind: pfff as if.
[10:50:28] CWO3 Sarah snort.
[10:50:31] CWO3 Sarah: (( snorts, too ))
[10:51:08] Sgt. Summerwind: So, door number one, or we keep going up?
[10:51:43] 2LT Kain Crokett: Yeah, remind me to call Robotix exterminators when we get back, this place needs some mecha-sized exterminators.
[10:52:31] Sgt. Summerwind: We culd fill up a napalm bomb with Raid.
[10:52:32] 2LT Kain Crokett: Open it, slightly, if at all possible.
[10:52:47] Sgt. Summerwind: Thats what she said.
[10:53:52] Sgt. Summerwind: [1d100] => [10] = (10) basic Mech vs 45, [1d100] => [92] = (92) basic Elce vs 60%
[10:53:56] 2LT Kain Crokett: She WAS a virgin.
[10:54:46] GM: Anji is able to force the door but zaps herself in the process. [2d8] => [3,3] = (6) sdc
[10:55:11] GM: There is a nice pop, a flash of blue and a whiff of ozone.
[10:56:07] CWO3 Sarah blinks at the conversation between Kain and Anji, then jumps slightly at the pop/flash and ozone. "You okay?"
[10:56:31] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) calls down to Point, telling him to head back, but to mark this location.
[10:56:49] Sgt. Summerwind: Oww no, hurts!
[10:56:53] Sgt. Summerwind holds out her hand
[10:56:57] Sgt. Summerwind: Kiss it better…
[10:57:16] 2LT Kain Crokett: What are you? 2?
[10:58:01] Sgt. Summerwind: Hey, chill cochise. I'm not at all happy to be here you know, so, let me deal with my stress my own way…dad!
[10:58:28] CWO3 Sarah laughs. "Be glad my girlfriend is too busy to be hearing that, or she might smack you." She does try to help fix it though, without the kiss.
[10:59:05] 2LT Kain Crokett: Well, if it's a whoopin', you're wantin'…
[10:59:22] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) returns.
[10:59:27] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I must have missed something.
[10:59:37] 2LT Kain Crokett: You did.
[10:59:45] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Worth recounting?
[10:59:52] 2LT Kain Crokett: Not really.
[11:00:00] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual) nods.
[11:00:13] 2LT Kain Crokett: Just indulging the Sgt. in some antics.
[11:00:18] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I see.
[11:00:35] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): I sent Point back to the others and told him to mark this location.
[11:00:46] 2LT Kain Crokett peeks through the door to see what is on the other side. [1d20+1] => [15,1] = (16) PERC, [1d100] => [64] = (64) vs 55 Detect Ambush
[11:01:15] GM: The door opens into a service hall.
[11:01:58] GM: You can see tracks along the ground (monorail style) with a platform in front of the door.
[11:02:44] GM: To the left is faint light, the the right darkness.
[11:06:38] GM: hello?
[11:07:45] 2LT Kain Crokett: LEt's go left, there seems to be something in the general direction.
[11:08:42] GM: You follow the left path for about 600 feet until you see where the light is coming from, a grate on the roof
[11:09:00] CWO3 Sarah blinks at the grate.
[11:09:24] 2LT Kain Crokett peers through the grate. [1d20+1] => [15,1] = (16) PERC
[11:09:50] GM: you can see a hexagonally shaped corridor above you with faint blue standby lighting on
[11:11:21] GM: if the corridor you are in now runs west to east, the corridor you are looking up into runs north / south
[11:13:53] 2LT Kain Crokett: Someone with some nav skills want to try and guess where we are compared to what we know of the building. The corridor above us runs perpendicular to he service hass we are in now.
[11:14:40] CWO3 Sarah: [1d100] => [34] = (34) navigation vs. 84%
[11:14:56] GM: You think you re in the right place.
[11:15:15] CWO3 Sarah nods. "Should be the place, I believe…" She looks around.
[11:15:34] GM: [1d100] => [65] = (65) vs land nav 83% for Ishida
[11:15:48] GM: Ishida nods, to confirm Sarah's plot.
[11:16:53] 2LT Kain Crokett looks at the grate to see how easy it would be to open it.
[11:16:58] 2LT Kain Crokett: [1d20+1] => [13,1] = (14)
[11:17:00] 2LT Kain Crokett: PERC
[11:17:20] Cpt Ishida (Delta Actual): Looks like you can push it up, there are latches inside.
[11:17:37] GM: Sorry that was supposed to be the GM
[11:18:50] 2LT Kain Crokett pushes the grate up and climbs up to the corridor. [1d100] => [29] = (29) vs 70 climb, [1d20+1] => [12,1] = (13) PERC, [1d100] => [81] = (81) vs 55 Detect Ambush, [1d100] => [76] = (76) vs 63 Intel
[11:19:54] GM: You climb on up and notice that it's on the largeish size, about the right size to fly a Boiroid on a Hoversled thru.
[11:20:25] GM: Behind you, is parked an armored hover van and a pair of hover jeeps.
[11:21:18] GM: ahead of you, the corridor continues on for a bit until it opens into a larger room.
[11:22:39] 2LT Kain Crokett: ((I'm beginning to fade…))
[11:22:48] CWO3 Sarah: (( *rubeyes* ))
[11:22:52] GM: kk, no worries, we'll call it here
